i think freud is or was correct in his thinking, because i like the smell of my own farts, but my brain tells me this is wrong. I am often unable to know who is telling the truth, because i am challenging myself and i dont know who is telling the truth.

I agree with Freud's theory of dream work i.e disturbing repressed feelings warping from subconsciousness via preconsciousness to appear in its manifest content - However to say that every dream is a wish despite the logical explanations he put across in his books for this is something I do not agree with personally.

It seems unlikely it's actual censorship, given the other stuff that's included. My guess is: a) it's a joke, and/or b) because, this is a rather low-budget series, the screwdriver they had didn't do the ink trick.

In any case, I think this is probably my favourite Mark Steel Lectures show. I love its irreverence and visual gags, and it allowed them to do jokes that weren't possible in the radio series.
