  • I am japanese. Thank you taiwan. This Shinkansen is equal to M9 earthquake.

    I love taiwan...

  • Industrious people of Taiwan made this railroad successful.

    Congratulations, Taiwan.

It is only Japan and Taiwan that can operate a bullet train safely in an Asia.

  • having this in the US would be great. wouldn't have to get that sore ass feeling from sitting in a car for 6 hours. at least you'd be able to get up and do... train stuff haha. better than airplanes too

  • That was a slow ass train comparing to other high speed trains ,and the music was horrible It hurt my ear drums to the point of bleeding !!!

  • that was too slow, we are in the 21th century.

  • Nice !

  • lol the music of Lego Sutdio xD

  • does taiwan need a railway? i can walk around taiwan in a days time.

  • Nice video. I took this train during vacations in Taiwan, i liked it ;)

  • 台湾の皆さんは本当に良い選択をされましたね。

    日本人の自分としては、JRの方々には出来るだけ早くN700系を台湾に導入してあげて欲しいです。

    日本は台湾の永遠の友達です!

  • i hate the music -.-

  • Pity that we don't have high speed rail in the USA.. yet...

  • Actually we do, but it's only in the northeast corridor and is not that state of the art as the ones in Europe and Asia. But hey, once the US get started on high-speed rail, the latest technology would be used and I'm confident that it would be better than the others.

  • 日本の新幹線が台湾に貢献できて、とてもうれしいです。

    日本と台湾の友情の懸け橋になりますように。

  • Join the real world......US also does not have any high speed rail system which does not make you laugh or cry. Guess they like their cars too much....the Brits like their buses too much and have been well served by the bus companies until now....In Asia buses are craps and cars...they belch out too much smogs...and smokes....We are also crazy drivers too(so are the Yanks come to think of it)...

  • they were going to put in more HSR in 2002 but pariently the Terroist strike the World trade center so the war in Afghanastin and Iraq prevented the project int he U.S. thanks to Bush and the Terroist.

  • @pinkenba55 "High speed train" counts as one going 90 mph+. Our Acela can go 150 in spots so we have a high speed rail. Might I ask what you meant by making you laugh or cry? lol

  • @pinkenba55 i know buses here in india are crap.but nothing in the world can match indian railways charm.

  • @pinkenba55 Eurostar?

  • @pinkenba55 Um Northeast corridor Acela express tyvm 150mph is good enough for us Americans

  • @idiotman76 Yes, the fastest HSR in a country with 300 mio people ;)

And it's pretty expensive compared to European and Asian trains.

  • Why does Taiwan have a high speed rail services and the UK can't?? WE INVENTED HIGH SPEED RAIL!!!!

  • eurostar?

  • i meant nationwide, not the train that goes to france through a tunnel.

  • umm...no we didn't??!? I think you'll find in it's current form, high speed rail was invented by a mixture of the French and the Japanese. The UK's government fucked any hope of ours up in the 1970s when they chose to follow silly projects like the APT.

  • 樹林鎮早就升格樹林市了

  • ehh, why cant the philippines be just like taiwan....because they are so fucken corrupt.......

  • I am glad to see the fruits of our labor. I am one of those Filipino engineers who contributed to this project. We built the tunnels, the viaducts, the bridges, earthworks, substations, trackworks and the stations itself. Aftwer 5 years I left Taiwan when we completed the civil works and I left Taiwan with sadness coz learned to love Taiwan. Taiwan is a great country with great people and beautiful sceneries. Thanks Taiwan for being a good host to all of us.

  • @jonz718 Thanks for your contribution and welcome come back!!

  • @jonz718 I will be there in May 2011...can't wait!--in US now: --

  • what is this music?

  • Does anyone else notice that that looks like a Japanese Shinkansen?

  • It was made by Japan based on the 700 series.

  • Yes, they bought actual trains from Japan.

They are no stupid enough to buy Korean crap !!!

  • Comment removed

  • @Sanaluvern

I'm korean and I love this gorgeous train

but don't say shit to my country you sXX of bXXXh

  • @dhksrksalem Well I apologize for that comment i was just feeling angry over the 楊淑君 incidence at the time...

  • The fastest train we have here is the Amtrak Acela

  • yep but french technologie oops

  • @1crazyalex idiot...

  • get real, the euro Star is the best english train, because they go from London to Paris, and it performs just like the TGV

  • Wrong. Fastest we have in service at the moment. I think I read that California has a maglev. Not in service, but made. That would be the fastest.

  • We do not have a maglev--there were plans to build one from LA to Vegas but they were canceled

  • I never said that it was put into service. But California did have a maglev.

  • Taiwan? Taiwan?!?! Taiwan has this and California (or anywhere in North or South America for that matter) does not have this??? The USA really has fallen behind. Now I think that we are fast becoming the third world nation as China, Taiwan, Singapore, etc. pass us by at 'shinkansen' speed. I think I'm going to be sick......

  • this is the taiwan shinkansen

  • Its basically a taiwanized version of japan's 700 Series just now faster.

  • gr8t piece. 700T series built by Kawasaki Heavy Industries. Wonder how much does it cost Taiwan 2 have a HSR system like this 1? would luv 2 c my country hav 1 of these:(!!

  • It cost about 17.3 Billion US dollar, the largest BOT(Build-Operate-Transfer) project in the world.

And...Taiwan high speed rail Corp is near bankruptcy.

  • Why was this marked as spam?

  • Good Question. Not many understand the need for HSR...and getting the word out.

  • HSR helps us more convenient~besides its

really comfortable and safe~I think every

one taking it instead of air plane~

  • idd would of liked to of heard the trains engines. Not the stupid music, which sounds like its from an 1980's tv cop show.

  • かっこいいね∈^0^∋

  • japonlarınkı lukus abi baksana:D::D bzmkılerıne plazma tv koysan 2dakkada cuvala atarlar:D:D

  • はえええ

    流石はフランスと日本の技術だな

    これで台湾はもっと良くなるぞ!

  • nice music,good train,good video,ty

  • nice

  • Beautiful! ^__^

  • lol magnetic trains goes to the highest speed: 581km/h in japan :D

  • Nice trains

  • Am I the only one to see that's not the Korean KTX at all, but the Japanese Shinkansen?

  • Its not the japenses shinkansen but is based on shinkansen and is produced by kawaski, they are just borrowing japenese engineering to build their high speed rail.

  • Exactly, it is called the 700T series, based on the 700 Series. I think there is a wikipedia page on it.

  • Wikipedia kicks ass.(Sorry I had to say it:)Good for taiwan.Another step ahead of their chinese captors.

  • 新幹線 rules!

  • Yeah, but back to trains. We do have high speed trains in Britain. Most of our mainline services are 110 - 125 mph.We also now have the 190 mph Eurostar thing.

  • i agree ,they are also crashing

  • never heard of a crash on the Shinkansen.

  • HSR never crashes. (Instead of case when you use wheels from the tram.)

  • wanna ride it next time

  • I like the way those trains look

  • 300Km/hr?? 世界上紀錄最高的高速鐵路是法國574.8 km/hr

    台灣是沒辦法第一啦, 不過如果能再快一點的話應該也挺不錯的

  • Woah, how did you type like that?

  • they have a special adapter for mandrin

  • jobbyness

  • AWSOME!

  • when will the UK get a proper Hight Speed Train network its the 21st century

  • CTRL Phase 1 + 2

  • TGV? Eurostar highspeed?

  • im not sure, enland will import fastech from japan till their olympics. from UK media.

  • we can't develop high speed trains because our tracks are the oldest and subsequently most worn tracks in the world, and they wouldn't be able to take high speed trains. would cost a phenomenal amount of money to re-lay all the tracks in britain and because we only have our own taxes to pay for things now, rather than an empire to supplement it, we can't do anything.

  • UK is too small.

  • Yes maybe but the uk still the greenest place on the planet with the rolling hills of lush in england and the big mountains to the north in scotland and mind you it is much safer that the USA and we invented the ENGLISH LANGUAGE so think what you are saying

  • It is not economically viable. Unlike in Continental Europe (like Germany and France) where the population is more spread out, a majority of the people in the United Kingdom are in and around southern and central England.

  • It's great!
