  • your the one who does the dips for mudjugs!

  • @NoVaTutz Yes I am...

  • Is there a reason why the water is cloudy? Looks sort of dirty.

  • @redwhiteblue91 The water will get saturated with activator and old pattern. We drain it once every 2 weeks and refill with fresh water.

  • Im having little spots wash off in the rinse? any idea why?

  • @cpac97 Several different reason..I'm guessing not enough activator.

  • @k2concepts Thanks for you reply

  • Hey Jeff,

I been keepin up with you on you tube, good stuff bro! I have a ? if you dont mind... I did my first dip today which was a good hit,but as soon as it started drying the hit started to get scaley on me??? is that normal does the clear conceal that or did I do something wrong? if so...can you please tell where I went wrong?

Thanks Jeff ,I appreciate your vids and help!

  • @streetplatoon562 Lack of activator is what it sounds like...try one more pass than you did last time and see if that helps.

  • what is the process for removing the film that is messed up?

  • @usdms13 Scuff it with 500 grit wet/dry sand paper and repaint it...try it again..

  • @k2concepts thats what i figured. was hoping there was a miracle way to fix it. thanks for the reply.

  • Good video, can we have more on what causes various problems. Think this one has just solved a problem I've been having. Cheers.

  • @TheCrewgadjy Working on it...so much to cover in this trade.

  • Just so this newbie's clear, was too much activator shot on the film, or was there too much in the water already?

  • @mattklump Too much shot on the film...too much in the water is a entirely different problem...

  • what kind of paint do you use for your base coats?

  • We use water based paints...that was the Solo line from Sherwin Williams

  • @k2concepts Sherwin Williams like the one to paint your house with? i thought it was required to use automotive paints.

  • @BtrayinMF There is no hard fast rule for paint...good adhesion is the most important part. We use a water based paint because it does not limit us to any "dipping window" or time limit for clearing. Both of those are strong factors when you choose to use automotive paint (or any solvent based paints).

  • @k2concepts That makes alot of sense thanks K2 for clearing that up!

  • K2 thak s for that this is the best trainign I have seen. by the way how to you fix this part again .. can you show the process to continuew from there..

  • @greekmixcom To fix the part you will have to paint the part again and redip it...hopefully with better results than the first time...

  • well done K2 you are the pro on this work I appreciate the lesson form Australia

  • Very interesting video. Thanks a lot. Regards from Germany ...

  • Nice i always wondered what the effect was when you use too much! Thanks for the vid .. keepem coming!!!
