  • what an annoying grumpy old fart. he is simply wrong. of course none of you here would want to know why...

  • @donkerheid Nope.

  • @donkerheid Nope.

  • psychics and the gullible people that believe in them, are a pimple on the ass of society that needs to be popped >:)

  • @speedyguy8 lying cheating stealing illegal aliens should be put in jail for 12 years like the FB Iwants to do ...lol jose Alvarez...

  • The sandusky of magic .. LOL

  • I like the little blurb beneath the vid that describes Randi as a 'Legendary Skeptic'. Now that's a true power! The power of skepticism!!!

  • James Randi has several awards and honors, how many do these idiots/trolls/and retards that are trying to discredit him have? None.

  • @speedyguy8 That might go some way to explaining why they can't discredit him as well.

  • @weeryan2008 hahaha, precisely.

  • When Randi demonstrated viewing a hidden drawing by using trickery, Pell refused to believe that it was a trick, saying, "I think Randi may be a psychic and doesn't realize it.". this cracked me up lol. it's an excellent example about how bigoted a psychic believer can be.

  • Randi's cult followers are still giving him all their money for his illegal alien biz partner!!!!!

  • I have said it before, and it remains true:

"As long as the majority of the populous is lacking in intellect, false belief systems will be abundant, curiosity will be crushed out of us by society, and psychics will exist" ~speedyguy

  • That's the SCAM!!!! No one ever gets to take the test. And all the SKEPTICS GET RIPPED OFF FOR TEN MILLION DOLLARS from a non-profit started by an illegal alien ...CRITICAL THINKERS get scammed .. lol

  • @professorhoodoo how stupid are you? lots of people have taken the test, it's usually noobs trying to make a quick buck. The professional psychics simply wont take the test because it would expose them for the scum they are, and then idiots like you wouldn't believe they were psychic anymore :D

  • @speedyguy8 No one has ever had a contract for a million dollar test. please show me one or SHUT UP YOUR IGNORANT PIE HOLE ..... WHERE IS THE CONTRACT? No one has ever been given one..... it's a scam to get the stupid skeptics money..and it worked!!!! LOL

  • @professorhoodoo umad bro? o_O

  • @speedyguy8 Yep .. no evidence that anyone was ever offered the million. it's part of the swindle. Just go along with it and mail more money to Jose Alvarez so he can have some smokes in federal prison ... do you think he will get the whole 12 years? LOL

  • @professorhoodoo "no evidence that anyone has ever [been] offered the million"(professorhoodoo), well that just proves you're a liar, first of all Silvia Browne along with everyone else has been "offered the million"; she just didn't show up for the test. Also if you perform a simple google search using the Query "people who have taken James Randi's challenge", you will find information about over a thousand people who have taken the challenge and failed. you're an obvious troll/retard.

  • @speedyguy8 Show just one legal contract you idiot ... there never has been one ... all BS ... But you skeptics eat BS like a breakfast sandwich don't you.. LOL SHOW ME ONE CONTRACT OR KEEP DRINKING THE KOOL AID ... LOL DUMMY

  • @professorhoodoo This "DUMMY" as you refer to him, has a 180IQ (which is clearly 95 points higher than what you can attain), and is done with your nonsense (the inability to research relevant data on your own and then fail trolling/bitching about it). I wont be responding to any more of your "trolls" because I've said more than enough that will cause anyone that looks back at this to clearly see you for the simpleton you are.

  • if some of you assholes wanna shut him up, perhaps you should get one of your "psychics to take his test". Calling his assertions silly when you have no empirical basis is just heartless as the scam the so called "psychics" are using to siphon money out of innocent peoples pockets. people that are too stupid to realize the psychics are fake. and instead of providing third party "proof", take the damn challenge; idiots. because you know nobody will pass it :)

  • @speedyguy8 No one gets to take the test... That's part of his scam on the SKEPTICS..LOL...They give him TEN MILLION DOLLARS and he tests NO ONE... LOL

  • @professorhoodoo why don't you actually produce some empirical evidence that supports your claim that "he test no one". Until you do, those will continue to be viewed as fallacious assumptions in the eyes of rational people, I know you probably have a hard time grasping the concept of rational lol. Lacking evidence for claims i'm sure you would like to be true (but we both know they are not), also shows your lack of intelligence. good luck with that.

  • The lawyers said that they would plead guilty but now all the backroom deals ... They are months behind in prosecuting Jose Alvarez for FRAUD!!! Wonder why?

  • So Called mediums are nothing more then scum , its as simple as that,,, leeching on the feelings of gulable folk

  • Randi is scum for taking your money with fraudsters like his roomie!!!! @TheBoHoBoy

  • Comment removed

  • @TheBoHoBoy indeed

  • @Hlejames Well, lucky you. This isn't about you though, unless you run around and claim to be doing something like this for other people and charging them dearly or it.

The Foundation doesn't concern itself with anecdotal evidence, contestants have to be able to repeat the things they claim to be capable of under controlled circumstances.

  • @kaizoebara The Foundation was started by FRAUDSTERS!!!! They have your ten million dollars ..lol

  • @kaizoebara Wow. Look at you trying to police a public forum. I'm not concerned with the "Foundation" so why would I care if they are concerned with me? I had my personal experience. That is all I am saying so have a coke and a smile and chill for a while, high-strung person.

  • @Hlejames I'm as chilly as an ocean breeze.

  • As you "debunk" these phsyscic mediums or anyone else in this field, i often kept this question about you in my mind. Do you actually believe in an after life when you die ? If this is to personal i understand. I respect your work because how dare someone play with anothers feelings like that with thier lies. I believe they should actually be punished by the law. I would though like to meet a phsycic that is for real if they even exsist.

  • After my grandma died, I dreamed of her. She told me "I have another bank account. At that bank, I have a safety deposit box. There is $15000 in it. Get the key I had on my wrist in the hospital." I didn't tell anyone about that, but it ended up being true.

  • @Hlejames Great story!!!!!!

  • if psychic abilities were real i think someone would have came forward with a little concrete evidence by now :P

it's funny to see people bitch about what Randi says, but the truth is at least Randi's assertions are empirically observable. Such assertions as concrete evidence of psychic abilities exist, therefore it could be a bunch of bullshit.

  • @speedyguy8 The Divination project proved it. Can't you read? It has never been disproved!

  • @professorhoodoo lol, you''ll believe anything you want to. good luck with that ;)

  • James Randi publicly admitting that he is fooling people!!!! - About time

  • @shambhallah - Yes ... James Randi is a trickster - A back ground of fooling people...But I do agree there are plenty of psychic mediums out in the world who trick or fool people as well just as dodgy builders, politicians, bankers and such like are !... However there are psychic mediums who are not fake and do posess an amazing ability to pick up on past memories, present happenings and things in the future that will happen.

  • @chrispeeez And what importance does what you say have until you can prove it ? Actually, why do you believe it in the first place ? Cause you feel like it. Cause it makes you feel better to think so. And that's the problem. Accepting things as true because of the feeling it gives, which has no impact on the truth value of the things, instead of analysing the data that exists to get a real, educated opinion on said truth value.

  • @gilless429 ~ The importance to some people is faith. Believing in something greater than yourself....And yes it makes me feel better as well but more than just feeling like it! There is so much that we as humans don't know about and we have turned to science for answers.... And science has an important standing in our world that explains alot, however science can't explain everything and when it's unable to prove the answer to a question it's labelled a theory.

  • @chrispeeez "Believing in something greater than yourself"sounds good, but thinking about it for a second makes anyone realize you're desperate. I believe in a lot of things greater than myself. I believe in the solar system we're in, and the great gravitational forces that are needed to keep us circling around the earth. I believe in the fact that two galaxies can collide without a disaster, which is a mind-boggling concept are first.

  • @gilless429 Having faith in something greater than yourself doesn't make you desperate. Same way you aren't desperate in things that you believe in. You can't change what people want to believe in just because some scientists come up with theories but even if you try you'll get rebuffed or knocked down or even ignored. You can believe what you want to believe in and that's fine. All i'm saying is somethings can't be proved...yet!

  • @gilless429 Any physical theory is always provisional, in the sense that it is only a hypothesis; you can never prove it. No matter how many times the results of experiments agree with some theory, you can never be sure that the next time the result will not contradict the theory. On the other hand, you can disprove a theory by finding even a single observation that disagrees with the predictions of the theory. We are learning and discovering all the time....

  • @chrispeeez .cont. A theory isn't always unproved. There's one good example for this, can't remember what it's called. What was it ? Oh that's right, the theory of gravity...

And no science doesn't have every answer. So what ? That science doesn't have every answer doesn't mean something or somebody else on this planet has it. Science is the re-collection of every bit of knowledge mankind is aware of. So any "answer" that isn't in science is just made up because people don't like not knowing.

  • @gilless429 The theory of gravity is still to this day only a theory...NOT fact! Just because some people believe it is doesn't automatically make it so. There will be a another scientist one day coming along with evidence to blow Newtons theory out of the water. Hold onto your hats!

  • @shambhallah He was exposing tricks. The fools he works against don't do that.

  • @shambhallah yes ... he's a FRAUD!!!!

  • James Randi pretending to be a real person

  • Guys we have a homeopathic college.. Admissions are still open and it is a government institution

  • "Was he an electrician? Did he ever own an electric razor?" lmao Randi <3

  • lucky his rationale is keeping his pants up

  • @DancingET too bad, i don't know who silviar brown is. I like the james Randi's bravery, and his works in exposing these people, but i think there's a hidden ulterior motive. when something goes against secular belief, it always brings up people like james, it's good in a way, but it could impede the idea of learning about new possibility, possibility that might conflict with our conformity and actually bring change in the way we perceive things. it's the same fear in religion.

  • @MrSavedbylove I might not be part of intelligent community on you-tube, but i love to question sometimes, and it's easy for me to find out discrepancies in things like this when my interest is heightened. Kudos to James Randi anyway. i Favorited his videos, i agree with him on somethings but not all. i wouldn't be surprised when someone in his crew will come out and say exactly the same thing i've been saying here.check out his video on conjuring with Barbara walter to have understand my point.

  • @helperthrope don't you think James R's sponsors won't go at any length to disprove what they consider as a threat to the science and atheist community? Anyway, I am sorry, for paying you back in your own coin. By the way, I meant to write "right" on my second post. Gotta get this paper though, still working. Peace out.

  • @MrSavedbylove In what way do you think claims of psychic powers and speaking to the dead threaten science or atheists?

  • @teenspirit1

    It threatens wallets and morality....

  • @osityan science isn't concerned with any of those, and atheism only slightly touches one of the subjects.

  • @osityan I know. What's your point?

  • @helperthrope trust me, I used the write spelling for LOVE on my handle. Don't get me twisted, I like what James does but I don't take side, I only observe and present my observation. In one of his video, James claimed he knew what the Jewish dude did, but his drawing couldn't be seen, and no one could replicate his key bending magic. I know he's afraid of something that doesn't conform to his belief. How did he get a million dollar? Don't you think his sponsors are capable of pulling anything

  • @helperthrope whenever something goes against the rule of conformity, people like you jump out. I know that people like popoff works for James R. My question is, what happened to fair ground? Our society is the type that when something doesn't conform with the norm, we start reacting like the blood cells in the body. As a fantasist, I have leaved your kind marveled by my creations in art and in Hollywood.

  • @helperthrope No, you are the shitty idiot. fuck off.

  • why do you have to agree to the rule of his test? Randi pre-screens the subjects in some way and if he finds that the person's ability is real he makes it impossible for the subject to take the test. in paraghraph 4 of his form: "Tests will be designed in such a way that no 'judging' procedure is required. Results will be self-evident to any observer, in accordance with the rules which will be agreed upon by all parties in advance of any formal testing procedure taking place. "

    He is a fraud.

  • @MrSavedbylove,

Do you work for Sylvia brown?

  • @DancingET Who is sylvia brown? i know about james Randi and his BS.

  • neurolinguistic programming. Randi is not honest.

  • GWET REAL ... randy proves things

  • @MrSprocket2u No, he doesn't prove anything.

  • @MrSprocket2u he proved he can fool the skeptics into giving him TEN MILLION DOLLARS!!! LOL

  • This is awesome. i like this guy he speaks the the truth.

  • @TelecasterLPGTop Copernicus is a scumbag. What's his explanation for the human race having a "geo centric" (earth centred universe) program for thousands of years ? They say it was abandoned because of poor results, WHAT it took thousands of years to discover that ? In reality it wasn't abandones, merely split up with every arm of the human race setting up its own program because the centralised program was attracting too much attention from the public.

  • @ZuluFightrunner Wooo. You told him.

  • @Tominator907 JAMES RANDI CAN JUST HOG THE COVERS AND EXPOSE A FRAUD EVERY NIGHT!!!!!!LOL

  • @professorhoodoo I've read through a few of your comments... all you do is attack James Randi and not the issue, Ad hominem much?

  • @TelecasterLPGTop What's his explanation for the US military having a "remote viewing" program for over 20 years ? They say it was disbanded because of poor results, WHAT it took 20 years to discover that ? you mean to tell me the military could be wasting our money..could it be they keep a program going to misappropriate funds?like the 200$ screwdrivers.no that can't be it ,it must be that is a successful program that after 20 years they think they should keep quite.shhhhh don't tell anyone.

  • @TelecasterLPGTop Just cause the army biggies believe something to be true doesn't mean it is. I served myself and let me tell you every high up isn't smart. Some are plain dumb. While we're talking about having been in the army how exactly did you come across that "merely split up with every arm of the military starting up its own program because the centralised program was attracting too much attention from the public." thing ? Any reliable source to cite or just pulled it out of your ass ?

  • @TelecasterLPGTop Wow, you're a moron!

  • 06.26 I'll be alright, ..keep your seats.. ha ha, excellent.

  • He first offered a cash prize for anyone who could prove psychic abilities under controlled conditions in 1970.

  • Albert Einstein believed in life after death. He believed because every human body contains SOME electricity. Electricity NEVER goes away... it just takes on another form.

  • @TheChannyj28 Electricity does "go away", as in, it can be converted into another form of energy, juts look at a lightbulb, it turns electicity into heat and light! The Law of Conservation of Energy (which is what you are referencing, whether you know it or not) says absoultely NOTHING about the continuation of human consiciousness, (which btw, is an electroCHEMICAL process) go spread your Chopra-esque pseudoscientifc woo elsewhere. P.S. Einstein was right about relativity, not everything.

  • I would love to watch a biopic movie of JAMES RANDI!!!!!

  • Firstly: James Randi, you are brilliant, we need you, we need you to continue doing what you do.

Secondly: Unlike some commentors, I love your waistline & trousers. You look wonderful. However, that is irrelevant.

  • Hmm...I have taken homeopathic medicine all my life for various illnesses and it has worked. I would like to know more of Mr. Randi's views on this subject. Also, the reason it's diluted to this extent is because homeopathic medicine comes from various potent sources, e.g. insect venom, dangerous plants, etc.

  • @chesmaster2ky How about when it is diluted so much that the ENTIRE CONTAINER contains NOT A SINGLE ATOM of the so-called "active ingedient" which, in homeopathic sleeping pills, is CAFFEINE! (does coffee make YOU sleepy?) Homeopathy not only doesn't work (as supported by dozens of studies, not just your anecdotes) there is not even any mechanism by which it CAN work, the "science" behind it is complete nonsense!

  • @chesmaster2ky Placebo effect.

  • So true what he says.

  • one day i shall wear my trousers as high as he does...and by doing so i shall command respect from the entire room...when i do it now i just look silly...

  • Im with James on this one, no-one in this day and age should be homopathic. A gay friend of mine got married a couple of years ago and it was just as loving as any straight wedding Ive ever been to. For the record Im straight...., Ok,

  • WHOA! No wonder that dude wants to discredit psychics and the paranormal. I've seen videos of him over the last 20 years and he hasnt aged....THIS DUDE IS SANTA CLAUSE! HE DOSENT WANT US TO FIND OUT!

    TRUTH!

  • Randi co-founder of the JREF and the MDC is still under arrest? Facing 12 years in federal prison. He'll do fine there.

  • I love you Randi, and you are one of my heroes, but damn! That is one high waistline!

  • @shawndimery hahaha my thoughts exactly

  • Sylvia Browne hit the "dislike" button once, but with her fingernails, they hit 5 times.

  • I would take on challenge! Dean Summers I'm in Seattle :P This guy is cool but wrong. if I could I would.

  • Randi takes a whole bottle of homeopathic sleeping pills and doesn't fall asleep, but only because he drinks 15 cups of coffee before each act.... LOL j/k homeopathy is crap

  • TED... urgh 5000 conceited assholes in one venue. Ah well James Randi is a legend though.

  • @jq747 5000 conceited assholes? Eh?

  • I like a lot of what he said. I'm sure he is wrong about homeopathy. Taking 20 pills or 200 pills doesn't prove any thing. Any homeopath would tell you it is safe for a healthy person. That theory is sound. The practice in general often fails, I'm sorry to say. But it deserves more credible ridicule than this.

  • If i was Randi, I would start being more careful about his pill demonstration. Some of these herbal and homeopathic remedies have been shown to have unacceptable levels of heavy metals such as lead in them. While they may have no real 'active' ingredients whatsoever, they may have unknown quantities of who-knows-what.

  • Yes, we must end this belief in nonsense, such as the supernatural, and the idea that other people feel pain, and that a person dreams about anything, and in fact, the belief that anything really exists. After all, none of these can be confirmed empirically.

  • That microphone thing was shocking enough, then the glasses..fuck.

  • James Randi sounds like the Riverwood Trader/Belethor in Whiterun.

  • Could he possibly pull his pants up any higher?

  • @habanerat the height of a man's trousers is something akin to the rings inside a tree, the older he gets the higher they get. It's how you can tell their age without getting close enough to get the smell of pee...

  • @panterasux22 Excellent response! Hilarious!

  • @habanerat it's funny cause it's true!

  • I use Calms Forte to relax. It works and is much healthier than drinking NyQuil.

  • @Brennna And it wasn't a lethal dose. If I had the right plants I could make my own. That product is not homeopathic. It's an herbal relaxing aid. That's all.

  • It's a shame he died of that overdose afterwards, poor bloke.

    haha

  • RANDI IS AWSOME!!!

  • I've got to love Randi. He's dynamic and funny.

  • The only health risk from overdose of homeopathic "medicine", is drowning.

  • Can`t wait to get old so I can wear my pants as high as JR. Great posting btw

  • He didn't take the sleeping pills.

He puts the formation of the pills in the back of his teeth, takes it out, and puts it in his pocket.

    3:10

  • @shabido1 You must be pretty deluded to think a man can hide an entire bottle of pills in the back of his teeth.

  • @iruparatso You must be pretty deluded to think we are all as small-toothed and skill-less with our tongues as you.

I could hide a sandwich behind my front teeth.

  • I don't think you have to tell this to a TED audience.

  • randi is the miss cleo of pseudo-skeptics ...

  • @professorhoodoo I find it interesting that you are not addressing any of the points he makes in this video.

  • @lazyperfectionist1 I FIND IT INTERESTING THAT AFTER HE DEBUNKED POPOV NO ONE COULD UNDERSTAND WHY POPOV'S FOLLOWERS STILL BELIEVED HIM. THE FOLLOWERS OF THE JREF ARE JUST AS STUPID!!!!!

  • @professorhoodoo YOU CAN TAKE OFF THE CAPS LOCK!!!! WE ARE NOT NEAR-SIGHTED!!!!! YOU ALSO DON'T NEED TO USE SO MANY EXCLAMATION POINTS!!!

Still having an easier time making allegations than addressing points, I see.

  • @lazyperfectionist1 The FBI is making the allegations... ROTFLMAO... Alvarez will get the point when he's back in the slammer ... LOL

  • @professorhoodoo YOU FORGOT TO TURN ON THE CAPS LOCK!!! AND WHERE ARE YOUR EXCLAMATION POINTS?!?!?!

  • @lazyperfectionist1 here come the big surprise .... Alvarez and Bubba sittin in a tree ... LOL !!!!!

  • @professorhood Perhaps he didn't know?

I'm guessing you're someone who got debunked and you're butthurt you lost your cash cow.

    There there...

  • @WirlWind494 Federal prison is in the JREF co-founders future .. perhaps it's his Butt you should be concerned about. BUBA love illegal aliens too! Especially ones who have conned smart guys like you out of your cash ...LOL randi is the miss cleo of pseudo-skeptics ROTFLMAO

  • @professorhoodoo I've never been scammed, nor paid money to the JREF.

As I said before, you sound like someone who's butthurt because your sacred cow got shot down.

  • I love how he uses humour in his speech.

  • @JGrayshon He's not laughing now ... LOL

  • Randi reminds me of George carlin.

  • James Randi is awesome. I love this man.

  • Another bizarre belief that some Americans have is that amputating normal body parts will prevent disease. Yes, I'm talking about circumcision. It's total bullshit.

  • Comment removed

  • I just posted this video on the Long Island Mediums facebook page. Lets squash that bitch b4 she gets any bigger

  • @professorhoodoo My prick of a father is in jail for drug dealing, he is a total scumbag and a dick, does that discredit me or make a fraud? If not then I dont understand your argument against Randi.

  • @shawndimery Did your father help you defraud people out of 10 million dollars? Did you help your father sell the drugs? Were you sleeping with your father too? Did you live with him for 24 years under a fraudulent name that he knew was fraudulent? Randi will eat his own young ... he'll sacrifice the kid.

  • $700 for a phone conversation? Real spiritual.

  • some people are against him cause they're homophobes

  • I love James Randi, and I don't understand why there are some people against him, all he is doing is exposing frauds who take advantage of people..

  • i love this man, love to watch him on you tube! obviously someone of admirable integrity,....wish he was my grandfather, or freind he would make a lovely one!...good for you james....god bless caron ...

  • The notion of the Uneducated Witch is a false one . We are very Scientific in our Approach In fact it is considered an embarrassment in our circles to not have a good Collection of books.

Again as far as threat I just am not seeing the victims. Most Readers I know make a humble Living based on a passion and a gift. That is until Grumpy Atheists and there best friends Fundamentalists Christians make it an Illegal Practice. Or jack up a fortune telling License to 10,000 dollars or so.

  • @897Sparrow There's nothing about "being scientific" that establishes a copious collection of books, or vice versa.

"That is until Grumpy Atheists and there best friends Fundamentalists Christians make it an Illegal Practice."

Well now I know you haven't watched the video and paid attention to it, because the psychic Randi is referring to happens to be Christian.

  • @lazyperfectionist1 Ok , when referring to reactionary character Bashing this is ad hominem.

Basically 'ad Hominem" is the rout core foundation of right wing talk radio

  • @897Sparrow How about leaving your reply to something I have said as a reply to the comment in which I have actually said it? Just a thought.

"Ad hominem" is what it's called when someone tries to distract from a point or an argument by making observations or allegations about the party who made it instead of addressing it.

  • @lazyperfectionist1 Like, for example, when you call atheists "grumpy," or when you talk about the "serious sadness" Randi is allegedly "hiding" instead of actually addressing a point one of us has made.

It just occurred to me to wonder who in the world you are referring to when you talk about "a peaceful practitioner of your religion?" You said you are Wiccan. The psychic he is talking about here is Christian. Who is this "peaceful practitioner" you are referring to?

  • @lazyperfectionist1 Yes Right Wing Radio haha! that is my point

" Ad hominem" is the bashing of a person rather than just the point itself .

I thought we were on the same page there but maybe not

  • @897Sparrow Can I assume, then, that you understand what is wrong with it?

  • @lazyperfectionist1 Again I would like to say that I do think Randi is Very Bright and even funny and clever. I am not bashing him I was doing research for a project and found his obsession with this odd.

  • @897Sparrow So now you are going to answer my question?

  • @897Sparrow well, then you must hate houdini too. he was way more into this than randi

  • @guineapiggyman I do not Hate anyone , That level of stress does not serve me.

I was researching a for a project and found my answers. very simple.

  • @897Sparrow ok, so you must not be FOND of houdini

  • @professorhoodoo Sir spamalot.

  • Were is this sense of being or feeling victimized by peaceful practitioners of our Religion coming from??!!

It is an interesting sociological Question.

What happens in someones mind to were they think out of all world wide problems that Psychics and readers are some real threat.

  • Comment removed

  • @897Sparrow Psychic readings is a religion?

You want to talk about interesting sociological questions? Here's one. Why do people who believe in psychic readings ask questions they don't really want the answers to? This question you're asking, for example, about how psychics can be seen as some sort of threat. Randi answers it in the video.
