Hey, if you don't beat your children, how are they going to learn?
Remember, as Dr. Spock once said, [and we're related, btw, not just happen to have the same first name]: Boundaries start with the back of the hand...hard.
Kids really appreciate it later, especially when they're old enough to order guns on-line.
I am one of the luckiest parents alive. I raised an almost perfect son. He is a such a wonderful person. The only time we ever had any problems was my fault. I didn't want to let go, he was in college and I still treated him like a kid when he came home for the summer... He is now a wonderful high school educator, head track, wrestling and assistant football coach.
I see the problems that other people have with their children and feel so lucky.
This is the first video I watched of yours. From what I see, you are very entertaining and have a great personality. Going to watch your other videos now. :)
I prefer the magic elixir, NyQuil. when the kid misbehaves, you "diagnose" them with a sickness and give them an adult dose of NyQuil. When they act up, NyQuil (obviously they are sick when they dont behave!). Im also looking into the shock collar thing you use on dogs, great for time outs! They miss the toilet when they pee, zzzap! They dont do what you tell them, zzzap! I dont see any flaw to this. Thoughts?
Instead of those extreme measures i have a much better prescription... take a big dose, about twenty or so sleeping pills, throw in a few ludes, and wash it all down with your favorite cocktail, that way you won't have to worry about the kids and you can get the long rest you need and deserve! haha
The politicians are a worse discipline problem on both sides of the fence. Your the greatest mom already. You're right there's no need to over analyze discipline methods, when every situation is slightly different. Smile, and be yourself, and you'll remember to laugh when you need to. (alot)
you're right that it's give and take all the time, but it's interesting that the political conventions are the same frustration. I've always followed the conventions since I was a kid, and I've realized that no one wants to ever say anything original. They use motivational speeches like Tony Robbins to sell us on their product. "themselves." Our kids are just as well behaved as our politicians, and I'll watch again this time hoping someone figures out how to stop making the same mistakes "again"
Then why did you watch more than 2?

one day i got mad at my son, he did something
that did not make sense to me, im an adult, right
but I stoped for a minuet and asked why
and he told me why and it made sense.
sometime we adults forget we were kids to
and don't take time to ask why.
from that time on I did.
kids have there reasons too
no one takes the time to ask.
you might just get a suprize
