Invasion is simply amazing. Mine has a lot of games on it and it is still like the box finish and it has not died out at all. It hooks like no tomorrow, and has the typical storm carry. (anything). Only bad thing: pin up= bad for long patterns.

its all about roto grip u really cant go wrong with any of their equipment their lower reactive balls make up for it in hitting power.

I'm not sure the rev rate on those 2 balls is the same.. different rev rate = different ball reaction, plus the layout on the ball is not exactly the same, which changes the reaction too ..

Had the VG. 10 games until the coverstock shined up. I maintain my equipment every night after i bowl. Once the VG soaked oil, it hit flat. Thats par for the course on all Storms heavier oil balls. Dimension, Attitude Shift, Trauma Recovery/Response. Material is to soft.. Get the most out of your first 20 games with this.. Look at this video. The VG is obviously oil shined at the very least, and that is why the reaction is so tame. The invasion won't be much different probably.

@i3enthebowlerkid Get the Invasion. Its worth the money. I just got mine today, it is the hardest hitting ball ive ever thrown. it continues to hook even after it hits the pins, no deflection.

Look at the drill patterns, the VG is drilled much more aggressive than the invasion, the invasion has a higher hook potential than the VG, I have been bowling with the VG for sometime now and I love the VG

This video is bs. You can see the shots with the VG he throws with a soft hand to tame the reaction, and than rips the hell out of the invasion to make it seem like it is hooking more from the same line. Nice try storm, but Im not buying it yet until I see it in person.

I think they both feel the same, in revs terms. However the gravity seems to have a better roll and more and angle into the packet.

@masterchief247 , the reason why it seems like he is "ripping" the ball is maybe due to the fact that the ball has a different core, coverstock, and it also depends the layout. Personally, If I were you..I would honestly go to one of storm's demo days.

really? look at the slow mo comparing the invasion and the vg in the same clip, same arm movement, wrist movement, same speed + revs.

hahahah. You can see he puts his elbow into the invasion shots at the beginning. Come on. Plus, the invasion is drilled somewhat negative compared to the VG. The invasion in the video is going to store its' energy longer, giving it more pop on the back. the VG was drilled stronger. Its going to burn up sooner in the midlane, which makes it seem like it can't recover. Hey, if you want to believe it to justify the $200 + price tag, more power to you. Good luck :-).

They look the same to me. The invasion really is this much stronger than the VG. I just got my invasion yesterday, much stronger than the VG.

Release date is suppose to be January 27 of 2010 I think and saw Malott throw this ball today and did amazing, but congrats to Tom Smallwood on his first title

seemed like he was playing the wrong line, but I'm not a pro and would probably only get a 190 at best on those conditions

@bladeknockingon700 yea thats what i thought. but i might get a 200 on the white pattern. from what i heard the blue was the hardest. That's the one they shot in the semi-finals and finals.

It is a tough patten and I'm just annoyed that high school bowlers win matches because of an easy shot, it would never get passed but a tough shot for hs bowling would make the matches better. Not the pressure of having to make a shot to win, but a shot where if you miss by one little margin, you lost the match

@bladeknockingon700 I've been saying the same thing since i started high school bowling 3 years ago. On a house shot, anyone can bowl good. On a sport or PBA the better bowlers and teams stand out. They just decided to do it this year, and scores dropped, but the better bowlers did better. It is great in my opinion.

@redsfan821 exactly what I'm talking about they want participation but how about the good bowlers like you and myself who like a challenge and know our physical game to make the right shots, that's how you get better all the house shot teaches you is to throw hard and straight at spares and a limited amount of adjustments what harder shots do is teach you to be versatile which is what every bowler needs to be these days

Yeah. I hated how when sectionals and so on were on a house shot, anyone could make it on. It was really just a matter of how the cards played out.

Also on those shots, you need to be versatile and know how to make adjustments. On those, the people who put in the time to practice and improve their game are rewarded.
