  • 良く撮影されています。

  • Yes, Hong Kong. Now rarely sunny.

  • is that Hong Kong?

  • Sanyo xacti HDMI 720p ,which is now a old model has build in stablized function.

  • Sanyo xacti HDMI 720p ,which is now a old model.

  • Excelentt camera man, you are stabilyshed whi giroscopic ?

  • Ho was the first that came up with jetfoil? Laird Hamilton?

  • or great shit or ship plane? Man I'm getting confused here...

  • I really don't understand how these things work.

I mean what? do they just float on those ski things or what?

  • The skis are shaped to generate hydrodynamic lift and pull the boat out of the water.

  • It is the wing which lift the boat.

  • @kwokwing Thank you for stating the obvious.

  • Awesome,

I only knew about the one in

    Japan or Hong Kong.

Is this one also build by Boeing ?

  • @Xigano1 Yes it is- at 2:00 you can see where it says Boeing on the side.

"If it's not Boeing I'm not going!" - "Hello" from Seattle :)

  • I remember overtaking a regular Hydrofoil in one of these Jetfoils way back in the mid 70s when I was a kid. Can you imagine the feeling as a young boy 'beating' the hydrofoil? I love these old Jetfoils!

  • These old jetfoils are still moving daily.

  • its jonny quest

  • those are so cool how theyjust float across the water and they are very smooth riding

  • have you watch james Bond Thunderball whare they travel very fast on the hydrofoil?

  • Yes, I have watched it for a few times and very impressed by the then very new invention of the 60's and I even built a PT20 type hydrofoil models and put it in the youtube.

  • been on one of those

  • What was it like? Was it much the same feeling like being on an ACV like the hovercraft?

  • well it was weird at first because you were flying in the air and going really fast. on the one i went on you could go outside and it was pretty immense.

seriously recomend it. but if you think thats good, and you want more thrills, check out Zorbing.

  • Oh hahahaha just watched Zorbing :D GREAT! Commuting to work in one of those :p

  • FYI: this jetfoil is build by (BMS) Boeing Marine system in the mid 70s to the mid 90s, model 929-100 to 929-117, and later on, builded by Kawasaki Heavy Industries. Most of the jetfoil for the Macau Hong Kong line is about 30 years old, and they are not in production anymore......once they are gone, they are gone!

  • I wander if this boat can travel 100 MPH?

  • nowhere near it. they go maybe 40mph, 50 tops. not really fast, they just have enough lift to get them off the water.

  • a little bit scary

  • i would not be on something like that it looks like if you were to lean it would tip over

  • LOLOL yes unless u are like 10 000 kg then itll tip over just for u

  • severely stable.

  • cheers mate, looks a bit too unstable for me to not seriously hurt myself though haha. particularly as i'd be riding it in open water

  • i wonder if you could get a jet ski with foils like this . . .

  • Please search for dynafoil or see my recent favorite youtube.

  • Try again

  • Please see again

  • i dont see anything either=(

  • HK has passed a NO SMOKING policy in public spaces, I believe in Jan 07.

What does that mean to you? No smoking on any Jetfoils anywhere to or from HK.

Jetfoils typically don't allow passengers on deck once it leaves dock, so when everyone is locked inside, BREATHING IS MUCH MORE COMFORTABLE NOW! AHHH! :-)

  • QUIT SMOKING. I personnal have seen friends got stroke on age 45 - 50. Then they quit smoking. I never smoke for the following reasons (1)it costs money (2)it smells bad (3)it looks stupid.(4)it could burn your home.

  • not because its bad for your health?

  • same in europe. no smokeing in enclosed or small/tight public spaces

  • Went there from HK to Macau in 2007 , it is a real pleasure !

  • It's fun... been on that one while going to Macau... it's true... very smooth at top speed. Hummms...

  • the hydrofoils never fly!

    only sailing!

  • what the hell!!! someone explain that to me!!!!!!

  • It's a hydrofoil - essentially it uses 'wings' which sit under the water and create lift, much in the same way as an aeroplane wing. The Boeing Jetfoil in the video is powered by gas turbines and uses a computer to maintain stability during 'flight.'

  • thanks mate =]

  • i rode on one of those in the 80s it was in Alaska just doing exibition runs and they were giving rides on it you couldnt tell it was moving once it got up it was so smooth it was amazing

  • She's definitely moving! 35 knots maybe?

  • Is she one of the old Boeing built boats? Looks like it, I miss my old boat

  • It is a boeing.

  • dude that is so crazy i wish i could ride on that ship

  • Nice! I'm adding this to my "things to do (ride) before I die" list!! Good post!

  • me too

  • lol how many women on that list

  • Cool video
