  • Great scott band!

  • That was fuckin awesome. My older brothers used to listen to them. They had the records,I have the cds now.LOL.Im adding to my faves.

  • Oh Yeah, I was like 15 jamming to Nazareth, and I seen them at the Chippewa Falls,Wi Fair, totally kickass

  • Great pot-smoking song! You've been a very bad boy John Baby..Momma will spank you ass....

  • nazareth is so cool a band to me they are just like sweet good but very underrated and don't get the attention that they so rightfully deserve plus the kick major butt.

  • Jimmy and that slide sounds great. I'm a new Nazareth fan, but I can always appreciate good music, and talent when I hear it.

  • @Pr3lude9 The guitarist is Manny in this. This is the original line up. Jimmy Murrison is from the most recent line up.

  • @hermygagala Awesome, thanks man!

  • its crazy how things changed, back then that long hair with that shirt and pants was good shit now if u walk down the street like that yr pretty much 90% bound to get harrazed or get ur ass kicked lol . . .lets bring the hair back that way in class i can sit behind the dude with this type of hair and fall asleep in class without the teacher noticing haha

  • Nazareth is one band that doesn't pretend to fit in to any category of heavy metal or glam rock during their time. They are just a good old rock n roll band with fantastic songs for their audience during that time. Really good band. Almost every one of their songs can get the audience up and rocking. Fantastic grooves.

  • 39 doofusus.

  • Such a sexy song! Dan McCafferty can be my "bad boy" anytime! mmmmm....

  • This dude has one of the BEST rock voices EVER!!!

  • @scratchwhiplash he is one of and Janis Joplin is the other

  • WARNING this video contains really Awesome Hair that may cause you to go crazy with envy. Viewer discretion is advised

  • @GOPsMrDependable This was before styling product...Ha ha....I had hair like that too! ;~)

  • I started lisening to Nazareth in 1985 and quickly they becam my favorite band. In 2000 I started emailing Manny he is a real cool man. I was in Iraq in 2005/06 I sent him a flag from the base we where at.

  • These guys were on the radio all the time when I was a kid. Kevin Born 1968

  • ,...then when I was about eighteen...<3.

  • ахаха,на Швайцегера как похоже жесть))

  • were they called Salvation? before Nazareth? or was that Dream Police who later became Average White Band - along with BCRollers played in Cragburn Gourock regular.

  • I am a 45 years old and I have seen so many great bands perform live.Queen,AC/DC,Deep Purple, Iron Maiden,Mettalica,Black Sabbath and i can go on and on.My favorit band live is by far Nazareth. They toured with Zal Cleminson in 78 and totally blew every other band off stage.Seen them in later years as well and they still impress with a show packed with great songs played with the same potency to this day.(saw them in june 2011)

  • @steffenrocks1 I, too, have seen many bands in concert over the years and saw Nazareth in concert in 78 with Zal Cleminson. I agree with you, of all the bands I saw in concert, Nazareth was one of, if not, the best live shows I've seen.

  • Awesome tune + great singer + excellent guitar riff = priceless classic rock!

  • enough with that new crap old suff is WAY better

  • bad bad boy road runner guys

  • OMG someone else on here saw the Bay City Rollers I did too

  • Happy Birthday Manny Charlton !!!!! \o/

  • I sucked all of their dicks because I love the music so much, and I am only six year old boy.

  • @Potatious who cares about your age?? stop showing off like : "I m young and i listen to rock n roll that some people do not know" That is pathetic. Listen to the song, be proud of yourself if you want but do not show off, cause you do not act as someone who would have understood what rock n roll means>

  • Comment removed

  • @80phie Oooh I get it, your french, so you think you can just keep smoking up all the worlds weed, eating shelled slime, supporting your own interests instead of the U.S.'s and still have ball room left enough to tell a little six year old boy off like that.

  • im going to the casino in moncton to see this band play and im only 10 years old

  • LOVE NAZ!!!!

  • I was a teenager in the seventy's liking soul and funk, until i heard you boys. and loved you ever since. good to hear ur still touring. when are you in london !!!

  • We all still live in Scotland-we are on a constant World Tour(since 1974)Dan's voice is the same-the band are still "cookin' "-come see us one and all,if you like hard rock you wont leave disappointed!

  • @abcdee108 man I love you guys,I set up for you in st.john,n.b. Canada in the 70's I'll never forget it.

  • Respond to this video... and I would love to see you again!!!!

  • best band ever'

  • Looks like Janis Joplin !

  • the lyrics are so cruel...

  • He comes across as a Steve Marriott wannabee to me

  • @70goldtop where in the hell do you get that !please explain yourself.Dan is the man!the one and only!

  • Bass player looks constipated

  • This guys has the pipes from hell!!! He must gargle razor blades and smoke 700 cigs a day! I was brought up on these hard hitting Glaswegian rockers and by God so will my kids!

  • hard to believe Manny Charlton will be 70 years old this july.keep on rockin!

  • One of the most underrated, greatest voices in rock...listen up boy band lovers...no lip syncing here.....now you've heard a voice!!

  • I hope that this kind of music become popular back soon : /

  • I thought McCaffery's voice would have given out in about 1976 but he's still belting them out today at just slightly reduced power...a freak of nature!

  • Gonna be seeing them this summer :) I wonder how they sound now though...

  • FUCKING POWERFUL VOICE.

  • I also love the subtelty of the lyrics

  • He is so ugly

    MISTREATIN' SON OF A GUN

  • @ciarand67 Hmm, you're not very observant are you? No rock 'n' roll from the 70's was based on looks! Glam rock ruined it.

  • thumbs up if your listening to this in 2011 !!

  • It is a mother fucking shame that kids of today listen to Jonas "los cojones" brothers o whatever and don't even know who is Nazareth.

  • @alexsdjtube ''Kids of today'' is kind of a big generalisation... I'm 16, been listening to this since I was a child! Sure a lot of people my age listen to jonas brothers and miley cirus and stuff, and others like me listen to nazareth bob seger and rush! So stop complaining, this music is not even close to dying just yet.

  • Comment removed

  • @alexsdjtube youre right

  • @MrTelectu; But we are all gonna die and if we don't introduce it to our kids, my 10 & 12 year old then the music dies too. If I see a kid wearing a Nasareth shirt ,then I know the father raised that kid right...and chances are if he's down with Nasareth then he is NOT listening to todays shit!!

  • @canadianhammerfist im 13 years old

  • @MrTelectu Well thats good then it was more of a comment to Kapiszczur, should've replied to him. Keep rock'in though!

  • @alexsdjtube Yeah, but you know, I'm quite happy, that they don't know Nazareth...why?

It would be horrible to see 11 y.o kids wearing Nazareth t-shirts and indentifing with their lyics, ok?

look at Nirvana, I do not wish any band - that, what happened with their legacy

  • @alexsdjtube Well said! Sad but true!

  • Madness When I was a kid I had a Nazareth record in my record collection, I think it was Razamanaz. Today 35 years later I am realizing I was holding a thunder and lightning in my hands. The bend who survived the test of time. The forgotten giant, a dinamo of tremendous energy that can wake up a dead man and jump start his heart again. Dan Mc Cafferty maybe one of the greatest hard rock singers ever. How did this band end up forgotten as they are today. Most kids don't even know who they are.

  • @alexsdjtube no but we do! :0)

  • @alexsdjtube no but we do :0)

  • New stuff they done - Big Dogs sounds fantastic! Saw them in Brum in 1992... when will they come back!!

  • Que buena banda che!!!!

  • He sounds like Steven Tylor, Nazareth was my first ablum.

  • Loudest concert I was ever at!

  • One of the most underrated bands ever...

  • FUCK! that's even better than the studio version!!

  • I saw them in the Beamont City Auditorium (Beaumont, Tx.) in the late 70's and it is the best concert I have ever been to. Nazereth put some serious emotion and heart in their songs.

  • fuck...he isn't ugly...he looks more like a tough and hard man, just like his voice...pretty rare these days i know.....

  • and i believe these 35 dislikers were ripped off by Dan.

  • there seems to be 35 people who thought they had pubes until they pissed out of them !!

  • Holy fxxk the man is ugly. Great sound though.

  • @teppo42 The man is ugly but it sure is good rock pretty boy

  • I photographed Nazareth in a concert in 1975 in Canada. To see the shots go to ianmarkmusicphotos (.com)

  • This song rocks, even if you have to pay alimony.

  • I am so glad we have Rap and Hip-Hop now instead of this rubbish. Also, as explained on the 'X-Factor' they don't have the look and total package required to achieve popularity among today's discerning music fans. Also, before anybody blows a gasket, the above is pure sarcasm. It breaks my heart to hear what passes for music now, and so much of it is 'throw-away' noise. One of first 7" singles I bought was Bad Bad Boy, and it rocks just as much today as it did over 35+ years ago. Go Naz!

  • @Mr6292 I was about to let you have and ear full... then I read the rest of your post, lol.

Agreed 100%. I'm glad that someone took the time to upload these great songs. I'm having a blast listening to them.

  • @Mr6292 Like the sarchasm, saw them live last November dans got short hair now but the voice still splits the eardrums if you get chance see them live McCafferty is a blast! Keep rockin!!!

  • Yeah, Rock and Rollllllllllllllllll

  • Dan and Brian singing a track togheter would be great if you could hear Brians voice LOL.

  • Fantastic song, one of their best. Funny and truthful lyrics and some memorable slide guitar. A song for the ages.

They were a pretty good live band, this performance is just as good as the studio version. Dan McCafferty sure had some pipes.

  • Geordie and Nazareth = two great bands of the 70's

  • oh ja das lässt alte zeiten wach werden.....stimme genial^^

  • Nazareth doesn't get the recognition they deserve! These guys have a rockin' collection of tunage and it's all great!!! \m/

  • @axemanbiggz Agreed

  • "When that woman looked up to me and I said Honey we'll be.... Together till the day I die.......BUT I LIED!!! Those lyrics speak the truth. How many of us dogs out there said the exact same thing at least once if not a doz times as she looked up at you? I will answer that one that is an easy question. ALL OF US!!! Especially in the early years (16-25).

  • @LesSmith45 I know I love those lyrics. Mind you I love everything Nazareth have ever done. They are my favorite band of all time.

  • rock n roll with a rap!!!!

  • rock 'n'roll does funny things to people I guess :)))

  • MARAVILHA DE VIDEO SOU FÃ

  • I'm gonna write down the lyrics 'an scrawl in a zig-zag style on weathered paper

and have my girl read it then play the song for her and when I see her smile at me

I will GRAB HER by the throat 'an push her up against the wall, throw her RIGHT leg

over my LEFT shoulder and FUCK HER BRAINS OUT 'CAUSE I'm a BAD, BAD BOY!!!! .....Ga Ga says = If it ain't ROUGH it ain't fun...

  • can't stop hear this song... i'm a bad bad bad bad bad bad boy jajaja

    yeah that's rock

  • HELP me EVERYONE!!! Nazareth is releasing a new album April 18 called "Big Dogz" we need to get the word out. HELP ME!!!

  • @hermygagala Good luck bro. The problem with this world we live in there is no venue for classic rocker to sell their new music. Two reasons, nobody wants to hear any new stuff just the hits from the past 40 yrs. also there are no or very little radio stations that cater to Classic rock artists. Even the classic rock stations rarely play any new music from Classic artits. Case in point 2006 Bob Seger released a new album. I think it is one of his best since 1977-79. Never got air time on Radio.

  • @LesSmith45 HEY smitty thi is true things move fast ... case and point ,,..We communicate ,fast the music to day is pre fab ....

  • Shit, people catcha ole tune for a good reason, people who check it and dis are fucked somehow..nobody looks at shit they hate. Enjoy ur tunes and all the rest, bite it

  • not only a bad boy , but a very ugly one as well ! but a great voice .

  • mattervalley , you need to delete all posts by the guy that sucks Justins dick before Nightwithe kills his sorry ass

  • nice hair ^^

  • This is when music said FU and got away with it!!!!

    I miss it!

    Cool post, Thanks.

  • When hippies where gathering flowers and high on drugs, this guy was creating rock.

  • @Rokimalceno

i'm pretty sure that guy took some coke man ;)

  • rock n roll baby

  • he is singing two octaves at once, listen carefully

  • @stebolian is that a good or bad thing?

  • @MsPsycho29 thats talent as he can produce more power using highs and lows in his voice, listen to a singer on youtube , type downlode and scroll to sweet child of mine, he uses two octaves at 3:05, 3:21, and 5:01, it transforms into power, especially live, this talent is rare as it seems to be a different person singing along but its only one singer using falsetto and chest together

  • @stebolian Well I don't understand octaves yet, but I can recogonize excellent vocals sometimes. And this man still is really good.

  • @MsPsycho29 to true, if you listen carefully you can hear the high note and the low note a the same time

  • @stebolian If I'm not mistaken, the rocker of the 60's that produced that talent and many were in awe of it was Janis Joplin. They said she could sing two notes at once...I think Dan is the male version of her anyway...Peace!

  • @PearlGirl1943 yes thats true, i know a guy in australia that has a freak voice too, he sings back in black in the clip i will leave as a video reply

  • @PearlGirl1943 You're right,Dan,Plant,Gillan,Noddy Holder and several others...Mainly Plant in my opinion.

  • bunch of god dman filthy dope smokin hippys

  • @heyazzhole perhaps you meant "a bunch of God damn filthy dope smoking hippies", but I don't remember ever seeing you backstage, and besides 'dope' was not an issue as it seems to be for you

  • @heyazzhole

    Heavy Heavy Fuel Baby!!

  • f**ckng epic yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Rock dont get better than Nazareth

  • They're gonna play near my city! :D

  • THANK YOU matt

  • ABSOLUTELY fucking amazing. Never will there be a band as good as Nazareth ever. I mean this is live and it sounds the exact same as the studio version. Nazareth is, was and always will be the best band to walk the face of the Earth!!!

  • nazareth, aerosmith, led zeppelin ...times when sex was music and music was sex :P

  • rofl 33 deaf dumbasses

  • Why weren't there more great heavy Scottish bands? SAHB, Teargas, Writing on the Wall.... it's a tough place, you'd expect them to have more.

  • I was stationed in England when this was being played.

  • Great music compared to what crap gets spewed out today.

    Nazareth rocks!

  • There are 33 people that wouldn't know rock if it bit 'em in the ass.....

  • @trb....SCOTS has one 'T' in it....not two.

  • this "poodle haircut" is the greatest part of this age... lol

  • ..man, this is RAW!..beer mugs up high!..

  • This is so bluesy, AND it kicks ass!

  • this is awesome the good old days lives on ..... rock en roll...

  • sorry, I wanted to say awesome

  • awful riff

  • rock on this is ace ,at 46 im still finding stuff that makes me go mmm

  • saw these live in my teens at liverpool empire, awsome.

  • Did somebody tell Dan how good he is?

  • When fucking rock groups had tallent & soul. Not in this day ange anymore. So much shit outthere that is suposed to be music.

  • him and brian johnson should sing a track together

  • @Aljax21 My thought as well. Both good.

  • @Aljax21 I partied with them 2 nights in a roll, about 6 years ago. I was talking too the drum tech. So anyways we got on about his voice sounding like Brian Johnson. He said he was offered the gig. After bon scott.!! But he truned it down.

Not sure if he was feeding shit or not but. i wasn't going to call him a liar. lol had a awesome time drinking with these guys.

  • @Aljax21 if brian was still in geordie and didnt sound like shit nowadays

  • @Aljax21 thats a good shout, always thought he would have taken over bon scotts untimely demise as the new ac dc frontman,,.. he would have been great, but would never have been bons equal in my eyes,

  • Dudes voice could cut glass.

  • Respect for that guys.

    Classics, Cult...Metal lesson hard rock

  • I agree , fuckin epic, cream my jeans epic !! these guys are all hot and some more . . . steal my love, rip me off , i dont care, just rock like that !!!

  • when i first heard justin bibier i thot it was a girl... my friends told me it was dude... i'm not convinced

  • I'm reading these comments and who the fuck is justin bieber?

Gimmee a clue, never heard of the guy. Am I too old school?

  • Where the FUCK is the epic button?

  • @TeoGibson yeah we metalheads DEMAND a \m/O\m/ button NOW!

  • @TeoGibson Epic is right! Nazareth was huge in Canada and still play here regularly. I was a big fan for a couple years before I saw them in 74 with Rush as opening act.

  • Brilliant..Crackin track and band.Pure gravel pit voice. Thanks for putting it up.

    Mike

  • I think this is my favourite Nazarath song, It's such a great tune!!
