I feel plastikmans music, and this song in particular shows how the idea of minimalism can remove all personal traits to reveal a melody, a groove and an atmosphere that is platonically perfect and will last forever.
I first heard this track about 10 yeasr ago on John Peels show. It inspired me to write my own clone. I haven't heard this from th first time I heard it and it brings back so many memories. Ritchie Hawtin = Legend.
Check my tribute myspace/eightminuseight and play the track eightminuseight
i remember hearin this track around 5 or 6am at a friends house. everyone had left, and this song was playin as i was waking up with a throbing headache. my friend, who is a HUGE richie fan was plaqying it very loud. this was the track the made me fall in love with the plstkmn. soooooo mnml, yet so great. no wonder richie is known as 'mr mnml' he was way ahead of his time back in 98!
to feel this track you need to just chill...wait until midnight and then you can watch this. without any lights in your room. all plastikmans tracks are great in my opinion :)
this works wonders if you've woken up on a gloomy day, and without showering take on your big coat and wait for the bus, still half asleep. while you sit down on the bus and turn on the ipod that's been resting for a couple of days, this is epic win.
Brilliant video.
