  • why cant you just replace a clicker with the word ''good'' or something else

  • @MrKh76 I eventually did, but this is a good place to start

  • @MrKh76 The clicker is for 'marking' the correct behavior. It is much more consistent and effective than saying 'good'

  • hard to believe its only his second day! what a smart pup :)

  • Hey there, I have a simple question:

when you teach a trick to your dog, when is it better to stop tu use the clicker?

And is it necessary to keep on giving him a reward from time to time after that?

    thank you

  • Hey, Which age did you start to train her?

  • my BC is 4 months old and he can lay down, sit, shake both paws, and roll over. he nips sometimes as well, like if i am running beside him and stop, i notice him looking at my heels and he tries to nip them. he's learning, but for the most part doing pretty good !

  • I have a border collie and she is 3 months old and she can't do that

  • Good stuff! My BC is just over 2 months as well, and she is also taking very quickly to clicker training. So far she has sit, lay down, kennel up, hand touch down pat, and she's almost got the hang of roll over and target recognition down. The potty training is going pretty well, but she had an infection from the breeder that we are clearing up, which causes her to have some accidents. Still working on the nipping. =O(

  • aww obie is so cute!

do you have any advice for a future first time border collie owner?
