Seriously Wonderwall and Champagne Supernova were played non-stop in the States for almost 2 years when the Morning Glory album came out, even Roll With It, Don't Look Back in Anger and this song got attention. In fact only the Smashing Pumpkins were probably as highly played at the time, maybe Foo Fighters (but even then that's a stretch). They fell off in popularity significantly after about 97 though.

I think these guys are great but I still can;t believe they won over The Verve for the best Brit album in the last 30 years.... what does everyoen else thinks??? Probably their sound is more modern as with The Verve (Urban Hymns) was more of a psychedelic rock of the yesteryears... Still, great sound and great song...
