@forgot1997 She would be able to be re-broken to drive, providing you only do as much work as she is physically capable of, bearing in mind she is 19. However, do you definitely know she was driven 11 years ago? Why was she not driven for such a long time? We hear from many people who find out their horse has been driven previously, but the reason it has not driven for a while was because it had an accident last time it was in harness.
@barryhook2 My advice would be to treat her as a completely unbroken driving horse and start from scratch, because you may never find out her "true" history, or if anything ever did happen to her with previous owners or when she was younger. It is best to exercise caution and establish the basics in order to refresh her memory and give you an opportunity to gauge her reaction to being driven again.
I've been watching many of your wonderful videos and I would like to ask you few questions.
Do you think any horse can be broken to harness? I mean regardless age and breed-
I have a 8 years old mare english thoroughbred that i ride on saddle. Do you think it is possible to break her or you think it would be a wasting of time?
Can you suggest some books or video to start breaking horse to harness? Could you suggest how to make devices to use in this first training?
@arams55 Thank you for your comment, however we believe that every horse is an individual and his training must be undertaken with this in mind. We do not use one method for every horse, as the best method for one may be unsuitable for another. We have broken horses of different age and breed (including an 18 year old ex-racehorse!), but you should consider whether your mare is suitable for the type of driving you want to do with her.
@barryhook2 If you visit our website (there is a link on our main Youtube channel page) it explains more about our breaking philosophy; although you can get guidelines on the breaking process from.numerous sources e.g. books and videos, they never tell you what to do when it goes wrong or if your horse doesn't follow the A-Z method stated.
question.?!
My 14.1 dales is 19 now, but we just found out that she was broken to drive.
She has not done it for over 11 years. but would she be able to be re-broken to drive again ??(at her age).

@barryhook2 She has not been driven. because she has been on full loan to us (been with use for 11 years) And her owner just told us :/
She has never had any bad things with the harness. But the owner had to stop, due to ill health.

As a rider rather than a driver, I was delighted to hear your explanations of your methods and objectives.
