Oh how gullible you are. Evolution takes place believe it or not. Lets do this, I thought of it a few days ago in a conversation.

Lets say all of these events really took place, Earths creation from the big bang, the Big Bang itself.... everything. Where does God come in? Well, God created the necessary components for life. He created the particles that make up our universe, and is the reason life even started on Earth. This way, Science and Religion have space from each other.

of course many moon in the sky would be a pretty sight, we have only one moon and already driving lovers and poets as well as Astronomers Mad, what if we had more like Jupiter and Saturn. certainly life on Earth would be much different than what is now !!

If the Moon didn't exist complex life on Earth would be very difficult, not impossible but very difficult.

Would this not also be true for any Exo-Earths we might find. Should astronomers not add a stabalising moon to the mix on whether the planet can support life.

What if we find another Earth size planet: right size, habitible zone, liquid water, but no moon, wobbly rotation, erratic climate, 7hr day, etc.

Just because we find the Goldy Locks planet doesn't guantee it has complex life.

Why couldn't Mercury be Venus's old moon? Maybe if the Earth was as close to the sun as Venus, our moon would be flung into Mercury's orbit? Mars's moon was crushed by a comet and is now strewn about as the asteroid belt. Jupiter had several moons that were so far that it escaped its gravity and orbited on their own. Those moons are what we now call Mars, Earth, and Venus. So there.

@DanDenali The asteroid belt was supposed to be a planet, but Jupiter keeps pulling it apart before it forms as Jupiter orbits. Phobos and Diemos were supposedly the remains of a huge asteroid that striked Mars, just like how Theia hit Earth, forming the moon.
