Verizon Samsung Fascinate...not under contract now but using as wi-fi device: Voodoo Carrier IQ says Carrier IQ not found. It is an older device. Is it not found only because it is not used as a phone? Will also check my son's that IS under contract, same phone and let you know results.

I scanned my Samsung Transform Ultra with voodoo IQ scanner, it shows I have IQ Carrier installed with a score of 440(bad score). If anyone knows how to remove this IQ Carrier from this phone, please reply to this review or send me a private message. Thanks for letting us know, I will pass this info along.

i flashed over to starsky rom which is also a CIQ clean rom... i got the same exact response from the ciq detector app. using astro file manger, i found the file referred to as system/lib/lib_iqclient.so... Astro could not delete the file... starting to think the problem is with the detector app (it is "not reliable yet")..

I remember in one of your videos you said that Verizon say that they don't have it; that is FALSE. Today I borrowed my friends Verizon samsung phone (forgot the model name, sorry), and I found carrier IQ. But the app was called something like "com.andriod.verizon" It was telling because it was "0.00Kb" and had the default icon.

Actually nothing found in all except "rom binaries and daemons"; there it found 2 files - "system/lib/libiq_service.so" and "system/lib/libiq_client.so". What do you make of that? This is the clean gb on rooted epic 4g...

@ngxxx174 No, it's an spying software that's on the most smartphones. It will send it to the comapny Carrier iq which can do whatever they want with it I guess. So iPhone, Android etc. iPhone had it since their 3G then in an update after 4G was releasd they gave you the option to disable it in the settings but it should be disabled by default.

On android you either root and install custom rom like CM or use the app he was talking about
