They are two different games, with two different styles. That is like comparing Halo with Killzone. Yeah, they are both FPS's but that doesn't mean that ones better than the other. Personally, I love both of these franchises.

The King of Iron Fist sounds childish too, and that's Tekken. Do know, this is a Japanese franchise. Anything English sounds cool in Japan like anything Japanese sounds cool in the west. Like Dragonball Z Budokai, while budokai simply means tournament.

SNK has said there will be more characters in the home version, but haven't said who or how many.
Latest rumours say K' and Mai may make the cut since artwork has surfaced showing them in the new style, but nothings confirmed. Elisabeth also appears in early promotional materials so she may be back, but she could just as easily have been cut.
I hope it has a LOT and I mean a LOT more characters than this. I mean I know that these characters are just all they've shown so far and that there's a good possibility for more but come on.... 20 diffrent 3 person teams wouldn't be unthinkable.
We won't get too many more, there may be fewer characters but if your counting individual frames of animation there are nearly twice as many as 2002: Ultimate match with it's roster of 66. Most characters have about 5 times more animation frames than they did in the last KOF. That takes FOREVER to hand-draw.

Nope, that was for King of Fighters 2002 - Unlimited Match. It's a remake of KOF 2002. It also contains about 66 characters. Every single character there ever was in KOF will be in it as well. The only problem is, that remake is only being released in Japan. So if you live in North America you have to order it online.
I can see no Goro Daimon in this movie, no Clark Steel, no Sie Kensou, no Chin Gentsai...
Not that it would matter, anyway: 60% of the KoF roster would still be missing (Mai, Yuri, K', Maxima, Kula, Choi & Chang, Shingo Yabuki, Adel, Angel, Billy Kane... there's many more but I'll stop here).

At the end of XI, Ash takes it from him, as he did with Chizura the previous game. And he did it with Iori in Blood Riot. Crimson's pretty tough, it seems.

@richguev As a stand alone game its not bad, but as a KoF game its a complete joke:
-Characters move-sets have been ether stripped or completely removed and redone
-No story or arcade more what-so-ever only 5 time trial fights against random teams and no final boss
-Cheap or outright broken characters and moves (Looks at Robert Garcia)
-A roster of 12 fighters is fine, but KoF is a 3 on 3 fighter, makes teams very limited compared to other KoF games.

And just to power up the lamest character ever: that fa****t, Ash Crimson... who's still the main character, for some reason.

Nope, that was for King of Fighters 2002 - Unlimited Match. It's a remake of KOF 2002. It also contains about 66 characters. Every single character there ever was in KOF will be in it as well. The only problem is, that remake is only being released in Japan. So if you live in North America you have to order it online.

Not that it would matter, anyway: 60% of the KoF roster would still be missing (Mai, Yuri, K', Maxima, Kula, Choi & Chang, Shingo Yabuki, Adel, Angel, Billy Kane... there's many more but I'll stop here).
AND Iori's been gimped to put that fa****t Ash under the spotlight.
And also... what's wrong with Athena? Why doesn't she have a nose? Shouldn't they all have the same graphic style? Lame.

Yes, this KOF have almost no one from the others KOF, it doesn't havet a good amount of characters for a game of 3 VS 3.

At the end of XI, Ash takes it from him, as he did with Chizura the previous game. And he did it with Iori in Blood Riot. Crimson's pretty tough, it seems.
