None of them actually sing tenor but for the group they alternate note whoever sounds the best for the part or whoever could get that low or that high they would sing that part, like when twinkey does bass... but mostly twinkey and jackie sing tenor but twinkey mostly... and sometimes dorinda but all except karen sing contralto as a firm constant note. God Bless them they are still PURE GOLD

Their mother's death affected them all, but it really tore Twinkie down. Twinkie said, musically, her mother was her muse & that died. So, she went through a "dry season" creatively for quite a while plus she felt she was becoming irrelevant in music & nobody was interested. So, that's what that was about.
