Hasn't been doing this long I see. If a box is heavy, keep the hoist up when pulling box up. I know that when you lower the hoist it gives the box support but when heavy it keeps the weight on the ground and off the truck. No wheelie is needed.
you never pull the can up that high before lowing the rails....on uneven ground you can roll the can off the truck. This guy is a asshole...must be a owner operator because if he was a company driver he would be fired!
all u haters can STFU, that lil bounce isnt shit for the suspension, i drove a dump truck and iv put a POS sterling through worse, that western star is a tank nothings ganna happen
@gurjitb Oh I drove one of those Sterlings good lookin truck junk engines and suspensions .Less then 100 k on the motor and had to replace the whole block .Mercedes engines Torque tore it apart .Best truck we had was a 85 Ford L 9000 with a Mechanical Cat and 18 speed old Hendrixson suspension rode better than some air rides
that little bump and wheelie is nothing to that truck, it's a Star Car, not a POS Freightliner! That bump don't equal driving 1/2 mile in the secondary roads down here in TX!!! Drive that M.F.er man and step over the haters that probably don't even know how to open the effin' hood!!!
@379peterbilt530 Got a life and it involves trucks, you're probably one of the ones that I'll wind up pulling out of the ditch in bad weather. How about taking some of your own advice and Get A Life. As a matter of fact, got drive a Freightliner or something....
@379peterbilt530 I don't care about Peterbilt being in your name, who cares!?! If you want a freightliner then by all means go and buy one. Does it make you feel badass or something calling names on the internet?!?! If it does well you go with it then. I will have a good night and again, take some of your own advice... Loser in capital letters, yeah,,,, that'll show me...
Lucky that wasnt a 40yrd full of copper wire, or brass-would have had a problem! Not dissing the driver-I drive roll-off, and lugger, sometimes you CANT help boucing, or jerking no matter how hard you try to be gentle! Most critics are experts-who NEVER drove!
he let that truck down smooth. just because some of you can't do that doesn't mean that you need to get mad at him cuz he can. lmao. plus twenty yards of wet sand is pretty freakin heavy. half of you commenting sound like keyboard jockeys lol.
i used to drive roll-off trucks and this sort of thing can happen with a really heavy load. This guy IS the owner so everyone hating in here should shut the fuck up.
nice video, nice truck, what the are peoples problems hating on this dude. He is obviously doing this on purpose, for the video. -Mr.t Carting, D&N Services-
@guitarguy940 Only if you want to do serious damage to the owners' truck and in doing so risk innocent drivers and passengers' lives on the road. Should be fired and never EVER be allowed to drive commercial rigs again!
never seen so many ppl hating on a roll off driver lmao the point is he got the box on the truck which brings the money in...nice job bro...nice truck too how many trucks do u have ?
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
truck wasn't built to take that kind of abuse....that kind of wear and tear on the public road will destroy it as well.....keep it up...you'll learn the hard way...
@evensteven300k Keep on dreaming, truck can and will be built according to company's specifications.
And the chassis can be modified for a minor beating like this.
Here in europe this happens everyday also, if all the haters would bring there own garbage to the dump. we truckdrivers wouldn't have to "tricks to" pick it up.
The description is the best part... F*ck the haters, and the youtube know it alls that probably never drove any truck let alone a rolloff. We don't post videos to be given advice, we post them for GOOD people to enjoy. My boss and I think and speak just like you. 5stars from a fellow N.Y. rolloff driver.
That's a sweet truck. I understand the point of the video was to show off and that's cool. But man with a heavy load like that you gotta pray the cable doesn't snap and slice you and the cab in half when you have the boom lowered like that. I'm sure you know that already.
Your comment doesn't quite jibe with all of the super church-ey stuff on your channel, there, my man. Oh, and unions are the ruination of America, what with the monstrously inflated salaries and bennies which have let to the decline and fall of heavy industry here. Not to mention all of the wonderful graft and corruption and organized crime tied to certain unions - especially when trucking is involved. Other than that, tho, unions are just dandy...
O.K for the last time..The wheelie was done to show off that's it..it's not that the guy is new and don't know what he is doing he did it to show off plain and simple.Oh and its not a rack they are called rails. Some people that comment on here really really need to use a spell check program of some sort, But really now who cares just know that they guy is a amazing "RollOff" driver 15 years under his belt and will out do anyone in any country or any state. DONE!!!
ive been driving roll-off for 6 yrs and u have no xperiance at doing roll-off! first off you never let your front wheels come off the ground thats abusing the truck 2nd your pulling the box up when the rack is to high i get the box up about a foot on my rack then drop rack to wheres its level with box and then drag it up while raising the rack up.
This operator has little experience, note how when the container reaches chassis level he keeps pulling higher without lowering the boom to meet the containers railing.
1. putting unnecessary stress on the tail gate
2. When he lower the boom to meet the box, instead of pull 12 more inches to bring more weight to the front he just keep forcing the box down, that's why to truck raises, (looks impressive, but is not smart )
When you hook a can and start to drop your tilt frame and it raises your truck 3 feet off the ground , you better leave that sucker right where it is.
Should have let the can pull the truck , until the front of the can was past the hydro cylinder .Truck would never have left the ground. Like to see him load a 30 yard that was really heavy. Shit like that is candy to my Mac Granit.
Probably loaded with concrete? I drive rolloff semi, I get the drives off the ground all the time. One time it got away from me and I couldn't reach the controls from the ground.
(Note: The 4.5 given on one of your presentation scores was given by the pain in the ass Japanese judge; no real shock there, solely due to "camcorder picture quality issues" and she feels that if the cam used was a Panasonic, she would have given you a 5 without question...so says her translator, but we don't trust him much either.)
