Have been to Lubbock many times and my mom spent some of her youth in nearby Portales, N.M. One of her first jobs was that of working in a tomato cannery there.

Another great old recording Naomi. I hope the young people in your family realise how special it is to have family recordings from the 40's.The before and after pictures of the old house were amazing, somewhat sad but really amazing. I am somewhat familiar with that general area. I lived for several years in Lubbock Texas as a kid.....Terry

Very beautyful video,I love these open spaces,the open country,my family use to travel through the fields ,we were Gypsy.'s,a very close community.Now I live in a house,it's not the same anymore.But my heart lay's in the open fields.
