I liked Biker-Taker, but it did raise too many storyline questions - for example, the way Biker-Taker's promos were scripted, it sounded like he was talking as Mark Callaway, not Taker. In which case, why did they keep calling Kane his brother? If the Undertaker's spooky gimmick had been dropped, as it had been, why keep referring to someone connected to said background as his flesh and blood? It made no sense... so from a storyline perspective, the Phenom really had to return.
