  • @chapaev36 they might have. Remember we see 8 minutes of what was originally a 90 minute pitch

  • I don't understand why everyone here but Brett was so stupid. Okay, so the guy suggested retail. Tell him "no retail" and make a deal. I'm disappointed in O'Leary and Robert. Not smart.

  • is the voiceover the same woman who does howitsmade?

  • why is it that every time 1 dragon quits everybody else quits with him?

  • brett wilson is the best

  • @MightyDawq i agree, Brett is mad cool: *touches mattress nonchalantly* -- "I'll give you an address to ship that one to"

  • the american dragons r very inpatient as opposed to the uk ones

  • @mobins these are canadian. the UK dragons' den is awful. dragons' den canada and the american shark tank are WAY more entertaining

  • Wth, who says Kevin is an asshole? He's just rich and he knows it! He's only thinking money, which this show is all about and he's thinking the best way to make money. If the risk is too high, which in retail business it usually is, he's out. I think it's wrong to say he's an asshole because with that amount of brains, experience and money you all should just shut up. He's harsh I know that, but isn't business all about being harsh?

  • @mutzilnosoundl Money is not what it's all about, honey, any real man can tell you that.

  • @BabeonToast Of course not, but that's the way he is. And he knows it, that's important

  • @BabeonToast I'm pretty sure the show is about making money.

  • Brett has good business acumen.

  • Canadian Dragon's Den? Weeeird..

  • Bret Wilson is the man. Very fair.

  • I bought a bed from him last year from his store in Montreal. Great bed, great price. The Dragons were wrong.

  • with sales like he's broadcasting, why not go into retail with him? He's making sales without retail at all, and giving a product to the consumer that is better WITH the ability to test it in store is an incredible thing. These dragons with the exception of Brett were not very smart here. Also considering Essentia is now well known.

  • @aaronthemoose94 They had no problem with him *being* in retail stores; their issue was the massive costs and lack of profitability of *owning* retail locations. Once you do that, you have to pay for leases/rents, employees, point of sale technology and a lot of other things that would drive down profitability.

  • @watermelonygoodness ☞ That's nice, but I don't care.

  • there all cheap idiots in most eps i watch...

  • @87Canuck19☞ Typical YES, I agree but at least we're more well known for our shows internationally. Whether we copy it or not.

  • ☞ Ummm.... Shark Tank?

  • Comment removed

  • @2472769 Dragons Den came before Shark Tank.

  • @watermelonygoodness they r canadiannnnnnnnnnnnnn mannnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn

  • at 2:59 start reading the news line thing on the bottom its

sooo funny.... its about pee and drinking water

  • I have one of these it is awesome!

  • @vancedev That was the STUPIDEST and least funny thing I have ever read. Don't comment on any videos ever again. You know what? Delete your account.

  • @Flip052 i agree haha vancedev you have wasted about 20 seconds of my life reading that joke and i want 20 back

  • The show in the uk is called dragons den

  • Jesus fuck, can't you just cut of the intro? Who wants to see that for the 10 millionth time?

  • Here is a great product!! I can't say much about the whole retail idea, but the product itself is genius!!!!

  • im out! your out! WERE ALL OUT!

  • Brett Wilson brokered more business deals than any other Dragon on any version of the show worldwide. He will be leaving the show following Season 5; he criticized the show's producers for sticking to a format that favoured "abuse" and "criticism", rather than offering constructive guidance and feedback to potential entrepreneurs. He announced his own entrepreneurship-themed series, "Risky Business", to air on Slice

  • These millionaires are like children compared to dragons, regardless of their nationality.

  • Brett Reminds me on Robert Downey Jr (Tony Stark) , with his lil comment at the end about shipping it to his address

  • 2:44 Is where it actually starts. You're welcome.

  • @huntari Thank you sir.

  • @huntari I didnt say thank you

  • Comment removed

  • Brett sometimes looks like Undertaker.

  • @saarimm LoLLLL he does hahahaha

  • I am so bummed Brett is not coming back for season 6. He really brought something unique to the table, and had plenty of money to back it up.

  • anyone else think arlene is sexy for her age?????? daaaaaymmmm

  • Someone came in arlenes hair

  • It is so nice to see a happy ending. I think it takes a lot of courage to go onto that show and face the potential rejection but that's what it takes to succeed no matter if it's the Dragons or anyone else.

  • "Allergic to latex"...great!! NO CONDOM!!!

  • @xxxIronLeexxx not all condoms are latex ;-)

  • I like Brett. He's serious and he saw potential but he warns that he will pull out if it fails.

  • Oh my goodness, these american millionaires are like children compared to the UK dragons.

  • @Vordo1337

This is a Canadian show. Of course it is much smaller. You just need to look at it according to scale.

  • @Vordo1337 shut up you uk fuck, if you werent such a dumbshit you would read in the description AND hear in the intro, they say these CANADIAN billionaires, get out no one gives a flying fuck about uk's dragons they can all suck several bags of dicks .

  • @Vordo1337 This is the Canadian version Einstein

  • @Vordo1337 The American show is called Shark Tank, not Dragon's Den.

  • @Vordo1337

whats the show called in the uk?

  • @gurjeet3 Dragon's Den you tit.

  • 2:17 . now everyone stop whining.

  • Its a fun show albeit these people (except Brett) just want a deal in order to make easy money even if it comes at the expense of the entrepreneurs.

  • the only one who is suitable for being a dragon here is Brett. The others are just assholes, especially the first two who shouted at the same time, "I'm Out!".

  • @JinNOSify you re right! brett is the only one with a real ''heart''

    i like brett!

  • @JinNOSify nah, you're wrong. kevin is the only asshole here. robert is actually a very smart yet kind businessman :)

  • @JinNOSify theyre not assholes, they are saying the truth. it might be harsh, but its the truth.

  • @JinNOSify

Oh boo hoo, somebody in business hurt my feelings. You don't get out much, do you?

  • @riddleman65

You should wear a condom on your head, coz if you're gonna act like a dick, you might as well dress like one

  • @JinNOSify

So you DO cry every time someone hurts your feelings? You must be a very successful business person with that kind of attitude.

  • @riddleman65 at least I'm more successful than you'll ever try to be.

  • @JinNOSify

Yea, more successful at being a whiny little bitch.

  • @riddleman65 not as much of a whiny little bitch than your poor parents having no choice but to live with you and your childish behaviour

  • @JinNOSify

Unlike you, I don't live with my parents. I live in the real world where people don't complain every time someone hurts their feelings, especially in a professional business setting. But you wouldn't know anything about that, would you kiddo?

  • @riddleman65

Hey, you're right. In the so called 'Real World', people don't complain every time someone hurts their feelings', but what if it's in a situation when you have been childishly insulted by two business men on a television show called 'Dragons Den', a show that is viewed by thousands, or even millions of people around the World? You wouldn't know anything about that would you, old man?

  • 7:15 the first two canadians I've heard say 'out' pretty much the same way as an american would. well, at least the closest it'll ever get... lol

  • @Tecolotito Then why don't you watch that one, no one asked to see our version of it. Asshole.

  • total heartbreak at like 7:23

  • @jslbrt my cousin is elergic to latex cuz she breaks out when sh goes to the dentist and if the had to blow up baloons for a party or sum

  • @jslbrt Just cuz you've had 'issues', it's ignorant to make fun of a serious & dangerous problem for many.

  • @PlayIt4MeAgainSam Well fuck those people.

  • ????

  • @jslbrt Trying too hard to be funny.

  • @jslbrt

STFU. Since when are WOMEN so intent on not using a condom? Are you a virgin or something?

  • @pomegranateish Maybe you should STFU....

  • its almost 1011 and I still havn't seen this DAM bed !

  • fuck man..i want to be a dragon

  • "I'm oot"

  • @ConradMcBad HAhahaah, i was thinking the exact same thing, love Canadians.

  • "Ill give you an address to ship that one to"...smooth operator!

  • 4:40 - LOL, Robert is such a kid :)

  • omg, 7:00 look at the news bulletin scrolling at the bottom... kick a ginger day?!! o_0

  • A Canadian version?

  • @politirel yes, the original version

  • memory foam mattresses are already invented.

  • @Chachaman111

he said its a HYBRID of latex foam and memory foam.

jesus, atleast watch the video before commenting.

  • 2:30

  • Many memory foam mattresses are treated without the use of chemicals...for more information see king-size-memory-foam-mattress.co.uk/the-effect-a-memory-foam-mattress-has-on-the-environment/

  • the Dragons are sooooooooo UGLYYYY, looks like Goofy and hav not style... x/ sucks!!!!!!! DRAGONS FROM BBC ROCKS!!!!!!!

  • These Dragons seem very childish and abnoxious. At least the British dragons have a sense of decency.

  • Comment removed

  • @LetsAllUnite1 yea but its their sense of this so called obnoxiousness that has made them millions upon millions of dollars. think about it, if you had the money that these guys have and had to invest it on a business pitch, you want to know that it will make you money. lets be honest if you heard an absolutely ridiculous pitch that asked for $700 000 for 2% of a company that had no sales i can guarantee that you would not have good things to say, especially when it s ur own money

  • aren't these in stores already?

  • I hate those 2 pricks who shouted "I'm out!"

sheesh - no need to rub it in the poor guys face

  • KEVIN IS SO DISCOURAGING!!!

  • @femifire kevin is the BOMB

  • @femifire yeah but that's why everyone watches this show. he's so discouraging that they brought him to the American show too.

  • OK so they are presented with a product that is better than 90% of the competition ( at least they accepted it to be) and they would not invest in retailing that product.....yup those guys must be geniuses. Not to mention that it's really not that hard to understand that competition (with thousands of different mattresses, non with this technology) would do anything to block this guy out from major retail stores.

  • @mourantell Breaking into any retail business is high risk and low reward. BTW, check where this product is now and see for yourself.

  • @StickyickyX

Yes, but that is, because retail businesses have more bargaining power than the thousands of small suppliers. A dragon on the other hand has connection to these businesses, so they have a better chance to get the product in stores. About where is the product now: It is irrelevant, because of two reasons. First, they did not receive the backing so we can't say what would have happened if it did and second, we don't know if it is actually better than the competition.

  • @mourantell You assume too much about the retail business. There is a reason why there was an opinion on this show that trying to become a retailer is near financial suicide.

  • @StickyickyX I think you assume too little about it and he was not there with an idea to become a retailer, but with a product that he would want to sell himself, something that he could easily do with internet retailing (which is exceptionally high ROI by the way), And considering that retailing contributes more then 6% to the GDP and there are plenty of retailers in the Fortune 400 I wouldn't call becoming one a financial suicide or at least not more then becoming a venture capitalist.

  • @mourantell He wanted to open up retail locations, so yes, he did want to start retailing his product.

And please spare the silly Fortune 400 examples. They have access to the capital markets that are unattainable to most solid businesses, let alone start-ups. When coming from the VC angle, it's a bad bad business idea.

  • @StickyickyX

I'm not sure what you are trying to say with the access to capital market (btw. I have access to the capital market, I can buy stocks and bonds ;) ), but I assume it is about that they can issue securities thus raise money through equity. I still don't see why it's relevant here.

He is not there to be in the retail business, Apple has shops still it's not a retail business. He would be the supplier of the products, the store is just a sales channel and not necessary anyway.

  • @mourantell Uhm, when I say a company has access to the capital markets, I mean they can go issue equity & bonds to SELL not BUY. It's rather apparent you are quite clueless in the matter.

  • @StickyickyX Then you probably didn't read what I wrote " I assume it is about that they can issue securities thus raise money through equity" I thought you would find it. By the way, guess what? When a VC invest into the company, that's raising capital through equity too. Who would have guessed... And how is that even relevant?

  • @mourantell What? All I gathered is that you are a moron.

  • @StickyickyX

You cant comprehend a ten lines long comment on youtube, I am not quite interested in your trolling.

  • @mourantell No I just got tired of reading an idiot's thoughts, that's all.

  • @StickyickyX Yeah well me too so go back and suck some cock, I don't want to bother you while you're working.

  • @mourantell Uhm, you made a mistake, I am not your mom. STFU and get back to your trailer park.

  • i would have enjoyed reading what people thought about the actual deal that took place on this episode instead of the bitching and whining off topic....

  • Blue rose we don't spell it like aye... It's spelled like this "eh?" :p

  • fuking americans

  • @Frankii3 Why did you reply that to me?

  • @Frankii3 its a canadian show?

  • I come here to watch dragons den, and i see american insulting canada.

and they wonder wh 90 percent of the world HATES america.

  • i come to watch dragons den, with interest in the show

What do i see ? stupid american insulting canada.

sigh. and they wonder why 90 percent of the world HATES AMERICA.

  • That is actually a good product for a lot of people.

  • fucking americans

  • How can one be allergic to protein?? To me that makes absoultely no sense.

  • @mojoxrisin that's usually what people -are- allergic to: proteins are like molecular machines in the cell and are very different from one another and are what the immune system looks for when trying to attack foreign bodies like viruses and bacteria. sometimes an immune response is built up to some harmless protein or other complex organic molecule and that's what we call an allergy - bee allergies, nut allergies, they're usually due to specific proteins in those organisms

  • these stupid dragons owe my people everything they have since they built there revenue off of my peoples land and made billions of dollars from it, FUCKERs!

  • So you're arguing that a person's ingenuity, creativity, business smarts and financial investment have no relavance to the final product, because thiat product is the pure result of the land? As if to say that had "the white man" not "stolen" "your people's" land, one day multimillion dollar corporations would have just sprung up out the fucking ground, all by themselves?

  • Brett Wilson is a great guy. He is canadian, like me, he used to go to a canadian university to become an engineer, like I am, and he likes energy and power, like I do

I want to be the next Brett Wilson

  • Comment removed

  • If you're at University, why do you write like a 7 year old?

  • For these reasons:

    1. Engineers don't have to write like an Author that is a global phenomenon

    2. I'm not putting in effort, its youtube

    3. I only watch these at night because I work in the day (and now, 1 hr before my class)

    4. I personally can write at a high skill level if I tried

  • Fair enough!

  • Good response, or else I would assume you were not of a mature age lol.

  • Comment removed

  • Hahaha--love that comment...should I end this in an aye? XDD

  • Brett is sweet however, so is Robert! I think that the 5 of them are pretty decent people!

It really is a great show to watch...it's the only "reality" show (along with different versions of it), that I watch.

Robert & Kevin O'Leary are really good on "Shark Tank" too! (US version of 'Dragons Den').

  • I love Brett, he's more understanding and sees what the other 4 dont see. The guy has great background and could be seeing profits for the following years

  • @heavyarms39 IF U REALLY WANNA BE INVOLVE IN D GREATER PICTURE,AM WILLING TO WORK DOWN DAT ROAD WITH U....THAT WAS D KEY WORD!!!

  • @heavyarms39 I totally agree with you.. No wonder he always speaks in the end.

  • @heavyarms39 Hey, I bet he made a fortune of the foam.

  • @heavyarms39 Yea, but the other dragons didn't ask about the existing business. They just assumed that wasn't negotiable. Looked like the other dragons were left with your mouths hanging.

  • @heavyarms39 "could"

  • Racist much?

  • I kinda thought they spoke English in the UK way before America was even discovered. But maybe I'm wrong.

  • You're criticizing people from England and their ability to speak English? Hmmm . . . let me think of something . . . England . . . . English . . . is there a connection there? Westerners (Canada, US, etc.) have bastardized the language and it is our perception of the accent that, yet again, illustrates Westerners ethnocentricism

  • Your claim about Western Ethnocentricism is a bad generalization., not saying many people dont think this way which is sad......however, that comment was as egocentric as the one your are trying to refute...............kind of ironic dont you think

  • Not ironic at all; my comment was against another viewer's inaccurate criticism of language; I "attacked' that one viewer's views, no more, no less. That's not egocentric, it's a refuatation of another poster's inability to see that English has evolved -- and therefore been changed from the original -- in North America.

  • Comment removed

  • Lol Irony. I bet you say "Aboot" too.

  • I like the UK Dragons.

These dragons all come off as a-holes. I wouldn't want to work with any of these ppl.

  • i couldn't agree more, the UK version is much much better and refined. I would advise people to watch the UK version, the analysis is much deeper.

  • Two of these guys are in the American version called SHARK TANK. I guess I'm looking at it from an educational perspective. It's more learning what NOT to do in sales and negotiations. Plus, are we getting a realistic look at how ideas are pitched for funding, particularly equity funding? Too much entertainment and drama for me.

  • Leary sold some 'educational' company for 4.2B? I thought just the other night that he claimed he sold it for THREE.2B?

What's a billion between viewers? Or were those Canadian dollars?

  • Thanks so much for uploading these great vids ... I love watching Dragons Den i the UK, and when the last series finished these CBC vids got me through the withdrawal symptoms :) lol

  • same here

  • Thanks for the share

  • nice!

  • haha that was a car crash.

  • haha 1 2 3 "im out"

  • Thanks for the uploads but having the intro to the show on every single clip gets annoying when you put it them on autoplay in a quicklist. I suggest having a separate video for just the intro then you won't have to waste the first 3min of every DD clip.

  • That would make sense if everyone used quicklists. The reason I keep the intros in there is to give insight into what the show is about. An American version is about to launch so I guess the concept will hit mainstream soon.

  • i believe people looking at this understand the concept of the show. and the description your put is great!

    thx for the uploads.

  • @kaynada,

First, thanks for posting these. I have to rely on Youtube for my CBC and BBC Dragon's Den episodes, though thankfully us Yankees finally have our own.

Re: the intros, It makes sense to brand them but I don't think we need to hear ever Dragon's background every time. If you could cut that down to just the premise, it would be a lot easier to absorb.

  • @kaynada

Get rid of the intros. Seriously.

Do a vote and watch how everyone who watches your videos will agree.

  • @kaynada

    That's dumb

  • Also there are different dragons, from what I've seen on these clips.

  • @kazimierz198 You do it, otherwise shut up its free TV
