Miranda pissed me off a lot during the suicide mission. If you pick Garrus she complains about it sarcasticly. Sure she's loyal as hell and can be a leader but she tries to take over too much during this mission and cloud your judgement.

One thing to remember when another's character choice disturbs you is that if the character turned you off early, you may not have seen some of the character development that happens later on in more positive dialogue paths that may be the reason someone else likes them. I liked Miranda better once the later paragon dialogue started explaining her behavior than I did on first meeting.

If you send Tali through the tunnels and choose the wrong follower as a leader for the 2nd Team, Tali would die. Note that the tunnel person dies if Tali leads the 2nd team.

If your own Quarian Marines - for whom loyalty tends to be fanatical - have so little confidence in your leadership they flagrantly disobey your orders and ditch you at the first opportunity that says as much about you as it does them. :)

The problem is that it wasn't just Freedom's Progress. Her whole squad (except Kal'Reegar if he didn't die against the Colossus) also got killed on Haestrom.

That's TWO squads under her command that got killed off.

I romanced Tali in my first playthrough, but she's not perfect. She's a better tech specialist than she is a leader.

@MartialArtsMaster she lead the research team, not the commando team on Haestrom. Kal was leading the commando team. He was the only one left out of the commando team that was ambushed by the Geth. Geth would be a worthy adversary. Deadly to them since they had air support, and the Colossus on there side. Kal and his commando's had just there guns they brought with them. I wouldn't expect much from the commando team.

Too be fair, I wouldn't want her to lead the team, weather I was on that team or not. A Leader should care about his/her team that that person leads. She don't. My luck, she'd kill me the first chance she got. Wouldn't trust her with staying with the ship ether. Might repair and leave us fighting the collectors. My story, Jack always did till I figured out an easy way to kill her. I know all endings basically. It just sucks that I don't like Miranda or Jack. I find them extra with attitude.
