Was this solo done on the neck or bridge? Because when I do it on the bridge, it seems a little high, but when I do it on the neck, it seems too bassy, so I can never match Syn's tone when I play along with it.

I like the sound, my amp is a line 6 spider 3 , and i got the pocket pod, and i tuned the amp just as the syn sound on the pod, so the settings i use to get synyster sound are ; drive - full

bass- low

Mid- about half, twelve o clock

treble - 3/4 or full

reverb - little past twelve o clock :)

thats because you need to play with his amps to even get close to his tone. you can try abunch of things to get someones tone but really the only way is to by the same gear and figure out there settings. oh by the way put your pickup switch in the middle between the bridge and neck and see if that works..

yea i have that amp too but i have upgraded my gear and now have a BBE sonic maximizer rack unit, a MXR 6 band EQ, a rocktron superhush rack unit, and a EHX Metal Muff. Im going to get a tube amp and that is pretty much the key to alot of great players tones but your pretty good so as soon as you can upgrade your gear the skys the limit for you man.

hey man there is always Ebay. my cousin got a mesa single rec for $550 after trolling through Ebay for 3 months. You could even get a peavey valveking for 300 or i just saw a peavey XXX halfstack go for 300, 400 if you include shipping. that is sometimes the best way to go. take a look if you want a good deal.

I'm fairly new, but I've watched a lot and my favorite one is A7XHellBlaze's, he has the album one and a live improv one, and I think by far, he has the best versions for both of them.
