  • how are the boots aha

  • @rangerbuddy the big red has 25" tires stock. A 250sxx does not, and a big red is heavier than an atc 250sx. They are almost the same bike, but the bigred is more of a utility model and the sx is the sport model. My sx doesn't float, but my 1982 atc 200 has the 25" tires and it will float all day.

  • @hubie2100 no you don't. Last year for a pull start big red was 1984. Maybe you have a 200s, not a 250es. The 250es, atc 250sx, and trx 250 all had the same engine from 1985-87 for the atc and 88 for the trx. I put an 85 trx 250 engine in my 85 250sx and its the same except for the color (grey vs. Black). The trx 300 moor will fit, but you have to swap out the output shaft from your 250 and modify the oil line inside the right clutch cover. I think the wiring is a little different also.

  • My 125m floats with the 22" tires, but not when I'm on it. Makes it easy to drag out of the river when it stalls.

  • @rangerbuddy1066 it's because the big red probably weighs less and isn't as long as the 250sx

  • Are those stock sized tires? My 250sx don't float and it has 25" tires

  • thats f*uckin sick dude

  • That water looks sooooooooooooo crazy

  • WOW! they really do float!!! LOL!!!

  • The 4 stroke suzuki trikes are the same, i sank my 1985 225cc in a small lake and dragged it out and it started. Water came out the exhaust when i started it, that was a year ago and its still going strong. I had to tow my mates king quad once when it broke down. These trikes will go forever!

  • Started right up well I guess it cause it's a Honda

  • haha, man my 84 200es floats too. It always impresses all my 4wheeler and dirtbike friends at the camp. I dare anyone to ride it without having a smile on their face.... it cant be done lol

  • i sunk mine today pulled out the spark plug kicked a few times put it back in fired right up

  • Comment removed

  • HELL ya nice job give that thing hell these people are stupid if they think you can blow it hahahahah i own a 1984 200x that i bog with i have sunk it 3 times now and it restarted there made to have fun not pussy round on but NICE JOB

  • haha these bike float for real ...You need a boat motor on the back !

  • Thats pretty great right there. Tuff ole machines them Honda trikes. Good vid guys.

  • rednecks with video cameras, ammusing. God you should have to have an IQ of 10 before someone can sell you a video camera. That way you dont taint the rest of the world with your fucking stupidity.

  • @Bazorok If you find this type of stuff stupid then why do you watch it? The real pathetic part is after you watched it you feel the need to comment. Like anyone cares about you opinion. Keep you shit head comments to yourself.

  • Couldn't you get water in the pistons and bend the rods

  • @chickenfreidstake only if the air intake goes under water

  • @chickenfreidstake and theres only one piston and the air intake is under the tank

  • anyone who complains or bitches about this is stupid.. these machines were built to have fun. that entire video was nothing but laughing! way to go at giving her hell!

  • do the 200m float i have one but don't wanna find out

  • damn it ant that funny

  • The little trike that could!! Haha. Good run the second time man.

  • Good video, not to talk shit but it seems everyone does when some one does something like a burnout or rides em doin donuts in the snow not even close to forcing the bulletproof engines theyr like ride em you turd or you retard you don't deserve to be close to a trike WTF? Haha but when it comes to floatin em it's like yea!! Jus sayin

  • shaft or chain driven?

  • LOL! Awesome! So where was this filmed?

  • Did Honda eventually get the gears in the correct order?

I had a Tri Moto 200 back in the day. We dissed the Honda because they were more of a tractor then a play bike, but they were tough, mind you so was that Yammy!

Now working on a Atc 200 needs a carb, lean idle See new one on Ebay for $35, are they any good? Good old bike but wish they put the gears in the right order. Also has some minor oil leaks around the decomp lever and other places in the top end. Are there just o rings up there?

  • Fuck where I live every old farmer has at least 2 three wheelers sitting in their dirt barns collecting dust.... They are always cool to find but they never want to sell the dam things!

  • Watta douchebad he just stands there and laugh's and laugh's and laugh's at the dude...just because he got stuck and stalled out...GET A GRIP!

  • @busterhound333333 lol it's fuckin funny !!

  • @busterhound333333 shut up

  • @busterhound333333

Shut up.....you know shit about the whole situation we were in.

  • and why does the water look black?

  • lmao the air intake is under that gas tank...soon as u leaned forward it was DONE.

  • Riding a 4-wheeler is like riding a couch, riding a three-wheeler is like a mad bull. Trikes rule!! long live the ATC!!!

  • @7779jesse FUCK YEAH!!!! wouldnt give up my 3-wheeler for nuthin

  • @7779jesse haha well said! 3wheelers 4ever!

  • big reds never die i havent changed the oil in mine for 5 years still runs fine ive had it submerged litterally couldnt see it pulled it out starte right up

  • honda'll run on anythin but milk, lol

  • acually i got a 85 honda big red with pull start man

  • wtf as iff it can take that mad shit :D

  • Ah alright.

  • Honda should start a project and start rebuilding 3 wheelers again.

New 3 wheelers would be awesome to see. We should all get together, make a petition to restart manufacture of 3 wheelers and send it in to the Honda corporation XD

  • @justinlynch3

i hate to admit it but 3 wheelers are gone. we're only gonna have the ones we have now considering no more are being made.

  • @Spenlard *sigh* yea, it's a real shame. All the bad talk on 3 wheelers is stupid, and once there gone, there gone. The best bikes you can ever have are slowing fading away.

  • @justinlynch3

yeah, ive seen some dirt bike forks with quad back tires 100% not from the factory people like make the whole thing out of stuff that they bought to part out

  • @Spenlard I once seen a quad outfitted with car wheels and tires, never a dirt bike outfitted with quad tires though.

  • @justinlynch3

its a 3 wheeler it has forks with like shocks not stock ones but not a dirt bike wheel i cant explain it

  • @Spenlard OK.

  • @justinlynch3

Like they werent stock but they had shocks like a dirtbike

  • i wonder if a 200 big red can do that? honda kicks ass !!!

  • sock sucker I love the big reds

  • Awesome!

  • i laughed my ass off guys!!! thanks! that was great!

  • i have a 1986 honda fourtrax 250 and it won't go through half of that water, i want o get a big red instead. honda rocks!

  • dude...i wish i got the video of me sinking my dads wheeler....it was also floating...two hours later after letting it drain it ran like a top....GOOD OLD HONDA

  • ohh, that just sucks!

  • sweet

  • Thing refuses to die!! Never been overhauled or rebuilt from 84 and now in 2010 it's still running strong( smokes like a bitch tho )

  • @ihatepolice999 so dose mine. one pull and shes off lol

  • Bulletproof!!! I have an atc HONDA 200es big red, 84 model pullstart shaft drive, the air intake is right up at the top of the frame on mine and I've had it through swamps with water right over the engine and seat!!

  • gota love the big bulky old wheelers huge racks alsum

  • dude i can slowly here u drowning that motor

  • Now thats my kind of floater! and are you surprised it started back up?! It is an honda. Yes it beats the 4 wheeler in every aspect. Rock on man!

  • wow bullet proof or what !!!! surprised it dident compress the water going down the exhaust into the head and fucking it up ..

  • did you get water in the air intake? oh well you cant kill a honda

  • lol love this i have one ....but i do not think i can do that

  • thats the honda attitude. if you fail the first time, start it again and try again.

  • thats pretty stupid.

  • at 1:52 thats a 3 wheeler being reliable

  • haha lol

  • he he he he ha ha ha

  • holy crap it started again wow wait...... its a honda thats why lol!!!

  • the honda fat cat is the dirtbike with atv tires and wheels from the factory somone mentioned earlier all though the idea and produt was short lived and just like this video ive done the same on my 250es but i got oil all in side so i drained it on the trail filled it back up with spare oil i had in a pack and took the spark plug out and kicked it over a few times to get the water out the top end and it was great.

  • sweetttttttttttttt

  • when you first hit the deep how did you keep water out of the engine?

  • He should have jumped off and just floated it to the other end

Of course its gonna sink with his big ass on it

  • this is me and my buddies every weekend :)

  • this is hella funny lol :)

  • my big red has a kick starts and its an 85 so all of u r fucking retarded and nice vid it was funny

  • WAter in the carb? no snorkel?

  • when it started getting too deep he should have killed the engine instead of sinking it.

  • hey man remember when i said i had a 86 trx 250 motor for it? well do you think those trx 300 fourtrax motors would fit in a bigred frame cause you cant buy new trannys for the older motors so i thought i would buy a 300 motor cause you get get everything you need for those motors cause they where made in the 90's the mounts look like they will line up but maybe not the shaft let me know before i spend $300-$400 on a motor.

  • ebay

  • @85200xrider1 yeah because the 250 motors and the 300 motors are the same except for the bore and shit

  • funny video !

  • 85-87 had kickstart. 84 and older had pull.

  • are u sure that aint a 250sx cause big reds didnt have kickstart..That aint a bigred motor

  • my big red has a kickstart

  • yeah they do, my buddy has a 86 250 big red and its a kick/electric start, you have to remove the plastic piece in front of it to see it though. its hiddin, but it is there

  • Kickstart big red?

  • you guy are fucking pussy

  • Nice video great entertainment!

  • i guess you could call that a hybrid runs off of water :P

  • I like all the posts that ask if this is bad. Damn fellas, does ANYONE remember how Honda developed such a reputation for quality? Nice ATC, but these guys know, common quality for a Honda...

  • Cant you ruin your bike if the water goes over and into your muffler ?

  • yes it can get past you exhaust valve and wear your rings in a matter of seconds if you restart it

  • no, there is air flowing OUT of you muffler, what you need to be worried about is the IN-take. Water gets in there, you piston stops firing.

  • floaded

  • That is a testament to quality. Flood the thing with muddy water and kick start it right back up. Wow!

  • Only with a honda ATC do you get that kind of quality.

  • were the hell s the intake because if that getts water its all over

  • The intake on these are under the seat. The breather boxers are very welly sealed so water doesnt get in, but air can come in from the highest point possible. I've hadmy 85 200M in water well over the tank and road through a floaded area that was to the bottom of my seat on a daily basis.

  • some of them the breather is hooked up to the frame and they get their air from up by the handle bars, kinda like a snorkel

  • shit aint made the way it used to be

  • @drunkatthehelm

    I have a 83' 185s, and that's how it works.

  • i cant believe it even floated that far with that fatty burger boy on there.

  • so when you got out.. how much water was in your oil?

  • there's a reason i'm a diehard honda fan.

  • brings back so many membories, we used to do the same thing with my grandfathers atc. where is thes taken newfoundland?

  • does anyone think that a Kawi KLT 200 will float?

  • @yoyodude55 idk i have a klt 250 and i wouldnt try it because it weighs a TON

  • what an idiot i bet tha motor sucked in a little water

  • its not a jet ski!

  • looks like hes in poop

  • I now have a Honda atc 200es bigred 84 as this was the only other offroader that could beat my 94 trx 300 bigred quad at the local mudtrac and water hole hands down everytime! Now my mates slag me hillbilly and redneck!!! Well long live hillbillys, rednecks and the Honda atc!!!

  • i have the same thing but mine has a 1986 trx 250 four trax motor in it cause the other one was blown when i bought it and i couldint belive the 4 wheeler fit. shaft driven and every thing and yea proof right there that bigreds will go anywhere i love them. the like the best all around three wheeler other then the 250sx.

  • The 85,86,87 Big Reds have the same Drive train as the 85,86,87 TRX four wheelers.cheaper for Honda to do it that way.

  • @Muddcrazy they're also the same as the 300

  • god video haha

  • makes me sick lookin at this but its fun . I nearly lost mine when I crossed a small pond type thing. carb was dirty so she was almost cutting out and she wouldnt water wheelie, so i had to jump off and push it and try to keep the muffler above water in case she cut out hahaha what a rush

  • of course its gunna start, its a honda aha

  • I had a big red 200E and it had wooley boogers on it and it would float all day long, any old 3 wheeler can just about out wheel any stock 4 wheeler today. And ive done this first hand.

  • Not bad for a $300 bike.

  • If all else fails...try again

  • by swing arm do you mean whole rear end? they can get costly.

  • i found one for 350 that needs a swing arm shood i get it?

  • the pipe was out of the water when it stoped

  • I can not believe that it restarted after being submerged like that. LUCK

  • thats what there designed for

  • how much is one of those

  • Back in the day my Yamaha tri moto 200E would float no problem with my 200 pounds on it.

  • honda is the best. i know dudes that float thes things across mine ponds there nuts

  • auctaly i can float my big red just start in a wheelie and get the front tire on top of the water and it will float

  • lol big reds are awsome except there heavy...

  • yeah, but not as heavy as four wheelers

  • so true so true

  • Theres a big red floatin in the drink, and the guy asks "how are the boots?" lmao, ride on good fellas!

  • lol

  • Comment removed

  • big reds rule i have a 1986 250 big red

  • bbaahhhahahahahahaha the laughing just makes this video that much better

  • haha big reds are bomb it dont matter what any one says the guy filmin is cracking up prob drunk or something

  • i love my big red :)

  • IT SHALL NEVER DIE!!!

  • "Once again the Big Red showed up the 4 wheelers" DAMN RIGHT!

  • lol

  • lol!!! it fuckin floats

  • where was he going...

  • its a floater it wont flush

  • I was going straight and than i hit a big rock under water and it pushed me to the right

  • honda's allways fire back up you cant kill them...

    GO HONDA!!!

  • ha ha ha ha

cool shit, can't Beleive she fired back up

i tried that with my old yamaha 200-e 3-wheel

n only the front end would float up

  • i love thoses thing they go any wre lol most of the time

  • lay off the smoke boys

  • Damn that was pretty dumb, should have nailed it across the mud hole and floated to the other side!!!

  • did u think u had a boat dude?

  • hey a word of advice i had a 1987 big red never push the front end under water tha air in take for the air box in on the frame right under the gas take i made this same mistake once but i was in a lake

  • Where is this at?

  • how do you keep the water out of the airbox?

  • im about to put a video of my big red goin through deep water and you can hear it stalling a little but it kept on running.

  • sweeeet lmfao how was the water in the top end there...

  • they actually dont take on any water, they have the intake up near the bar clamps so as long as the gas tanks is above it will stay running basically without any water in it. they are the KINGS of water!

  • When i drowned mine it had water in the headlight. But all it needed was a good carb cleaning as we found some water residue in the carb. They go pretty hard though especially in the mud.

  • yeah i just choked mine out yesterday in water. i went into 3 feet of water too fast and it made a wave that came back at me and covered the whole thing. still runs like a champ after all the water has ran through! good fun!

  • ur lucky it started back up i drowned my 200s atc but it took about a week 2 get it to run. it would start and then die on the day it happened. It got water in the oil and fuel.
