WOW,that's something of a sweeping generalisation of my lfe,lol.I only mentioned the abuse we pupils suffered at the hands of these particular nuns when I was a kid.It didn't take over my life into adulthood.Though I imagine you think it has, as I chose to mention it after so many years.Believe me,I've pretty much done ok,no major trauma or years of therapy.Thousands suffered worse throughout the catholic church.I appreciate your concern though,thanks.

Yes, when Sisters/Nuns wore Long Habits - they're hair was short, but they didn't butcher it like in this STUPID scene!! And those Sisters who are still wearing the long Habits today - ask them to show you their hair. It's probably longer than most of you married/secular Women out there. I HATE when people think it's OK to show Nuns as freak shows!

"Shattered Vows" is really one of Valerie's best *made for tv* movies. She was really wonderful in it and it so captured the spirit of those times in the Catholic Church. I wonder if it's available on DVD? Does anyone know?

This may be an odd request, but I've been trying to track down a movie I saw when I was a child. Someone suggested it might be this one, so I was wondering if I could ask you a question.

Does this movie happen to contain a scene where the main character (or one of the other girls) is told that she must not bathe naked because it is a sin? And is the main character (or one of the other girls) ambushed in the entryway of her home and forced to go to the convent against her will?

That is not this movie. It is all about Valerie Bertinelli, a good Catholic girl who becomes a nun, then after the confusion of Vatican Council II, leaves the convent. It's like Elvis and Mary Tyler Moore in Change of Habit, only less frivolous.
