  • strong kid, the only thing i can fight off at this point is unconciousness. i still lose my eye sight and hearing though

  • awwww he is so cute xx

  • I was diagnosed with Jeavons syndrome (photosensitve epilepsy ranging from petit mals, myoclonic and grand mal seizures) 14 years ago. I have tried Keppra as a secondary medication in combination with my primary medication Sodium Valproate (Epilim). I ceased taking it after developing migraines, as I found with other drugs like ethosuximide and lamictal.

I currently take Risperidone with my Epilim for an anxiety disorder which I've developed and am feeling better than I ever have before!

  • A very brave little man

  • ill pray for him

  • beautiful and strong

  • I know exactly how he feels. That happens to me all the time. I'm guessing we have the exact same type of seizure and I take the same medicine. Poor little guy. He's taking it so well

  • What a brave little man!!

  • Sweet, sweet baby. And the cutest kid! Question for you. Why did you make him put the hanger down and why did you make him come back to play with his toys when he was moving away from the video camera? Were you controlling something for his own good due to his condition? You voice was very firm so I'm thinking that's the case.

  • What a strong little boy.

  • OMG what is wrong with you...is it just me... am I the only one that can hear her using vulgur language on the 1:38 minute mark against this poor kid....would hate for this woman to be my mother in any form....

  • Ahh, poor little fella. I can see that he's strong. I truly hope that he grows out of them, and that they don't disrupt his life. Best wishes.

  • Wow! I'm fucking speechless. I dont know anyone who is stronger than that kid. What I'm wondering is that why are you so uptight on him? I kind of understand it, it helps him to not to turn into punk asshole when he grows up. In my point of view it feels pretty brutal but what I recall from my childhood, I had something similar "shit" on my neck :D.

  • Such a brave guy! my mom was having seizures. simple partial seizures and nothing seemed to work. first of all it took like 5 years to diagnose them but now she's had surgery and is 42 days seizure free!!!

  • You FIGHT that seizure!

Look at him...just laaahh-dee-daahhing through the whole thing.

    What a smunchkin.

  • First: Thank you for sharing.

Second: It's your child. Be his Mom, with Love and God. It's your job, nobody else's.

Third: Im scared to try Keppra. Any feedback?

  • @seansaj1111 My 4yr old niece is on Keppra and she's doing pretty good, that and the Ketogenic Diet have really made a difference.

I know you were asking Peyton's mom but I answered as well .Just to provide you with more feedback

  • Thanks for sharing... when i read some of the comments left I was confused on why someone called you the B word.. Then I read a few more comments. The hanger thing?? really people?? silly.

  • whats keppra?

  • does he know he's fighting it off.

  • hugz n prayerz. hang in there peyton . i have seizures too ( complex partial seizures )

  • Did such a good job going through that seizure, thats such a hard thing to go through, it must really suck. My sister has seizures when her potassium gets low. its such an awful thing to see but to be honest its life, we cant control what god makes us. By the way very strong boy!

  • for the people that are saying what a teribial mom she is, she sounds to me like any other mom.I think she didnt want him playing with the hanger incase he had another seizure and did not want him to get hurt. also she wanted him to be close to her and not far away incase he needed help.

    He is a beutifule child.

  • I hope he loses his seasure when he gets older..my wife did..amazing...I will prey for him

  • thank you very much he is very well controlled right now!

  • the kid is just starting on seizures meds. all she can do is let it run its course. why would you refrain from disciplining. ppl like you need to settle down. did you ever thing maybe she wanted to keep him close to her and didn't want him to get hurt or bump his head? think god damn it.

  • just because he is having seizures doesnt mean his mother can't discipline him... thats one misconception many people have about others (or even animals) who have conditions that might seem so pitiful to the public eye... but in reality that is their normal, and they don't feel any different than any other children, so we shouldn't treat them that way

and i am speaking from experience when i say this, i have a family member with epilepsy and have worked with many children as well

  • By the way , when I say discipline, I in no way mean physical discipline. I am very much against that!

  • God, look how you just spoke to him, no wounder he is having these kind of fits... he is a sweet lil child and you talk to him like that? wow... not very loving or compassionate, I don't know if Id be putting this on for the world to see with him sitting there clearly having a seizure and you're talking to him like that during one? I am shocked seriously, I would never dream of speaking to my child in that way when so many health concerns are at stake. Please please start talking to him better.

  • i am crying what a beautiful baby boy!

  • very strong child, proud he has the heart pull threw such a hard thing.

  • he does not know any other way. and we don't let him feel different then other kids because of it. thank you for your comment

  • You are not a very compassionate mother. You command him like an animal! You should be comforting him not treating him worse than the family pet! Shame on you.

  • thank you some people just want to treat people with special conditions like they can do no wrong and just love them all the time. Trust me my son gets tons of love but he get in trouble when he does wrong just like any other child. I am so sick of all these judgmental people. There is a reason god blessed me with an epileptic child and not erikausc!

  • it pains my heart to see him fight so hard not to have a seizure....

  • poor kid

  • thank you for your compassion but we really don't look at it like that he is a very happy boy and is living with what god gave us I just hope to educate others to the different kinds of seizures. again thank you

  • Great video. Thanks for helping spread awareness.

    I'm praying for him.

  • I had several grand mal seizures when I was very very young, I was pronounced dead twice....the first was a D.O.A......weird, thinking that you have technically died before....but I outgrew them. Im a normal teenager now. Nobody even knows about my past.

Just remember, you have to find his triggers and stay away from them, any kind of flashing light or suddenly loud/frightening noise or etc could set him off....once you find his triggers you will be able to control it for the most part.

  • My mother suffers from seizures grand mal worse than your sons and let me tell you I stress that it will one day take her life...because she is older and now when it hits her takes a toll on her, am I prepared for that no but is she prepared and strong about it very. I wish everyone the best who suffers from this or has a family member who does. It's one thing to see someone suffer from it but its another when its your family who suffers from it.

  • Wow I am sorry you have to watch this happen to your son. My daughter has Epilepsy and she goes thru the same thing almost everyday. The docotors have tried so many different meds for her and so far nothing has helped. She had her first one just after her first birthday she is now 7. She knows when some are getting ready to start and she will come to me or my husband & all she wants is to be held. Afte rit has passed she is very weak and tired.Again I am sorry he has to go thru this.

  • try lamitrogine. I have grand mal seizures and it works wonders. It just went generic and if you have health insurance then it'll only cost you 20 dollars for 60 pills. depends on the dosage she takes. I have to take 200 milligrams 2x a day.

  • sweetie i just wanted to tell u taht u are a strong mom. i would freak out expeically with my son haveing 2 sezziures. but u are such a great mom dont let any one tell u any diffrent, and ur son payton is a stong little boy he is gona be a strong man someday.

  • Just to evoke you. Or perhaps to educate others and seek support. Who knows. Im guessing youre the hub of the universe. We should all listen to what you think tasaraha.

  • Obviously, it's something that people would like to see. You came here and watched it did you not??.. That's like saying people who do TV shows are wrong as well.. same thing... There is nothing wrong with video taping this maybe some one elses child is doing it but they don't realize. Calm your nerve and how you talk to people. If you don't like something go about your way and don't involve yourself in it. You watched the entire vieo then you gonna talk about her for filming it. GOOD BYE

  • your a strong individual because that would freak me out my son had two seizures and i was freaked out i thought my baby had died but you have to keep calm in situations like this.

  • thank you. it was very scary at first

  • keep him away from tv n flashing lights thats what i heard

  • I hate when people steriotype epilepsy like that, keep you away from the ballsack thats what I heard.

  • Stumbled upon your videos while browsing YouTube.

First let me say Peyton is adorable! He has the cutest smile.

Second, thank you for sharing your videos of him and educating persons about epilepsy.

  • Not all seizers are the same. There are many different types. If you are standing in a room and you look around, any one of them could be having a seizure, and you wouldn't know it.

This however was a VERY obvious seizure. Look for the shakeing of him hands while he holds his toys, it is obvious that he is trying to control the movement of them, and is doing really well.

  • when it comes to siezures there is nothing really to do. if it is a grand mal then you just need to make sure the person is safe from hurting themselves other then that what would you do?

  • After being intubated 7X since Oct. 4, 2007. The neurologists finally increased my Keppra to 1,500 MG a day. YEAH, me.

  • This comment is not to bash you in any kind of way its parent to parent talk so if you take it to heart the i appologise but show that lil boy some love alot more even if it means spoiling him having seizures is tough and mind blowing and hurts emotionally so since you cant put yourself in his shoes show him all the love in the world

  • And by the way you should give your child EVERYTHING in the world he doesnt know whats going on or whats happening and for you to be acting the way you are with your behavoir is rediculous and you in the army?? it seems like to me not only is the army full of shit so is the people.. take care of your son he needs your love and support all the way its your job as a mother to feel bad and make sure hes happy GROW UP!! God bless you pyton whatever your name is.

  • I agree 100% with hollyhocks. I mean come on first of all you shouldnt leave a hanger around a child who is having a seizures. First of all you need to clean up your child alot more pretty much every video hes in a diaper and has car in his hand be a real mother and show your child some love and let the boy get some fresh air. And P.S before you tell someone to mind there own business noo honey it is our business when you give it to us to reply on.

Take care your child show some love.

  • God Bless you Payton

  • good bless peyton.. has any other meds worked for him:( ?i have complex partials and Keppra actually worked for me

  • dickhead

  • you know what, you stupid bitch?? it's *REALLY* none of your fu*king business what the hell is in the background of the person's house, you stupid c*nt. you have no right to tell her that she "should have" had ANYTHING picked up. you should worry about not being such a bitch and go pick up hangers that i'm sure are lying around your house and go talk sweet & let your kids walk all over you, cause no one has time to listen to ur bullsh*t, they're focusing on this poor kid having a seizure.

  • Hollyhocks0, Nothing you say in this comment of yours is even half supportable. You mention a dirty old TV then go to saying things in relation to how the child is being talked to. Are you saying that because of a semi-dirty living space and a serious tone toward a child is bad? You my friend are ignorant. You are/were probably the preppy, weathly, "I shit Icecream and rainbows" type of child correct?

Do us all a favor, would you?

    Piss off.

  • This is really interesting. His Epilepsy reminds me a lot of my sons. Is he having petit mals here or myoclonic seizures; do you know? What kinds of meds is he on? Is he running from the camera (lol!) Do you think he's becoming self-conscience?

  • Why are you watching these videos Hollyhocks0? Have you ever been affected by a loved one with Epilepsy?

  • my little brother also has epilepsie

(to be precise the dravet's syndrome)

he also had keppra for a year but it didn't help him

but with the ketogenic diet he had no seizure for a whole year

(sorry for my crappy english i'm from austria)

  • The video is to make people aware of different types of seizures as well as connect with others with the same types and see what worked for them. My your business dont critize if you dont know what we are going through. Just because he has seizures doesn't mean he gets to do what ever he wants I dont feel sorry for him we are living with it and he doesn't know any different.

  • I too have had seizures since the same age, had my last one about 2 years ago, I know it does it better and I am backing you Peyton 100%, my prayers are with you little man ...

  • how old

  • He is 4 1/2 years old

  • am 13

  • Do you have seizures?

  • he love boy

  • I mean does get better, I need a new keyboard, lol.

  • Thank you for your encouragement!! How old are you now? did you have several different kinds? did any meds work? sorry I have tons of questions.
