I like Nader and Gravel, but they won't reduce government spending. They'll reduce the military spending, but then increase environmental and social spending to make up for it. Either way you'll pay more taxes, which results in less money in your paycheck.  Ron Paul would abolish the IRS, FBI, and CIA. That's a real way to reduce spending you kool-aid drinker!

The fact of the matter is, "peak oil" is a profitable tool as is "global warming". You can always bet that if something is profitable you will see a lot more of it.
