I am left handed but i play guitar right handed like all the other guitar players do, I know a lot of left handed people that play guitar righty. That's the proper way to play guitar, people shouldn't waist there money on left handed guitars or bass and that goes for you too.

I'm glad Jimi Hendrix isn't alive to read that. I'm a righty who is forced to play lefty due to a football injury. That is, a broken finger on my left hand that didn't heal properly. If I didn't play lefty I'd be forced to play only two or three fingered chords or not at all. BTW, its spelled WASTE.

For being a beginner you are a LOT better than most of the so-called "experts" I see slamming away on the fucking E string and claiming its Mean Streets from Van Halen. Don't be so fucking harsh on yourself.

Quick pointer, like porschedriver37 said, start off with slower songs. Work on groove; with groove comes feeling, with feeling comes tempo, and then the only limit you'll have is your drive and imagination.
