i think it would work if you use a fishing line to pull it off and THEN do the reverse video so it looks like it's being thrown to a face. Start from the end with the sunglasses on, some unseen person in the video pulls it with a fish string, guy catches it in a reverse motion of throwing, then they use the software to reverse everything so it looks like the sunglasses are being thrown and it miraculously lands on someone's face.
