@Kogscast Of course SWtOR is a WoW clone. So many are. It's called business. But if you enjoy WoW's style of gameplay (and the numbers speak for themselves here), then adding a Star Wars twist to the whole experience is not a bad thing at all. In addition to this, there will also be elements of SWtOR that simply wouldn't work in WoW i.e. Ship combat. It may be on rails (which is disappointing, I was hoping for something more free-form personally), but it is different.

And yes, so many are WoW clones, but thats the thing: I think new games should be new games, and if you're going to make a Starwars MMO then perhaps it should be a new game which excels the genre of MMORPG's and not just replicates the gameplay of a previous title with a different setting. And that ship combat smacks of desperation btw seeing as its on freaking rails man.

@Kogscast I highly doubt there is creative bankruptcy from a team like Bioware. I agree with your sentiment, but lets be honest, EA have poured $80mil+ into that game; they are not going to take any chances with it not succeeding. It's a safe play. Why fix something that is all but guaranteed to make you billions? That said, we really don't know a major amount about the game. 1st impressions can be wrong, so let's wait for release.
