I just saw Chicago in Madrid on the 14th of July. That was the 6th time that I saw them. I think Jason Scheff is struggling with his voice (maybe a case of laryngitis) . As they are allowing other band members perform songs that he used to do. Scheff really was not able to sing in tune on any of the slow ballads. Hopefully it´s just temporary. Great concert overall though. And Scheff was still great on the rock songs, like 25 or 6 to 4!
I'd give anything for Peter and Chicago to bury hatchet and do a fairwell tour like the Eagles. I mean c'mon they are all in their mid-60's for cryin out loud! Grow up and give the fans a treat before one of you kicks the bucket!
hopefully back to chicago cetera albeit reunion with the band, jason pity that, notwithstanding that sings, not up to Peter, if I were robert, lee, james and Walter (the founders) would beg him to return to peter the band, their fans are asking for is irreplaceable
Cetera is unreplaceable. Chigago should have done whatever was needed to prevent the breakup from the group. Chicago had a difficult time after Cetera's departure.
Judging from every comment posted on the boards concerning chicago the die hard fans are hungry for a reunion tour or at the very least for rhino to release some kath-cetera-seraphine dvd's
The is one of my favorite Chicago concerts. Sadly, I've only been able to find a 50 minute video version, though there's a 90 minute audio version out there with stuff like BEGINNINGS, LIVING IN THE LIMELIGHT and I'm A Man On It
Upon re-inspection of his video, I've gotta say, at 3:02, that little *growl* (Thinkin' it's good lord) Cetera does in the mike, I think it's hillarious and cute and I don't know why. Fun stuff.
Chicago's spin on "Gimme Some Lovin'" was so chock full of life and energy. It's nice to see the band enjoying themselves and jumping around on stage. Looks like they had a blast! IMHO, this version was performed at a better level than the other older clip of "Gimme". Curious if anyone could understand what Cetera said during the song break between "Gimme.." and "Got To.."
Wow excellent medley! I love it when these two are together! Thanks Juan! My spanish isn't good but uhm.... gracias por eso. Me encanta Chicago, la banda mejor del todo tiempo. Especialmente Peter Cetera, porgue el es me cantador favorito. Hope that's correct enough to understand. Okay keep goin with these. I love each!

this is a really good performance of songs but I wish the quality is better, is this out on DVD ?
Riddler95 3 years ago
You're right: good performance of songs, poor quality recording. This is a VHS transfer to DVD. Thanks for posting, Riddler!

Where do you get the 90 audio version of the concert ?
Is it on CD and is the quality good ?

This performance proves once again how ridiculous the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductions have been. Chicago should have been a charter member.
