Venom was the best black metal band, everybody els copyed them. Slayer is another great band put them both togher and you get the birth of death metal.

Slayer turned to utter shit in the late 90's, when they started playing Nu-Metal-tinged crap. Since then, even though they dropped the Nu-Metal, they haven't been able to come back to their former glory. World Painted Blood sounded like a third-rate retro-thrash band with Tom on vocals.
