PS by the way for one of my favorite books I recommend "warday , a novel of the coming collapse" by Whitley striber and James kunetka. Its a journalistic prospective about what would happen if nuclear war started in the 90s. Another good series is the day by day Armageddon series by jl Bourne and morningstar saga byZA recht
I actually have a whole lot of books between my condo & my parents' house. Tony is constantly screaming about "WE HAVE TOO MANY BOOKS IN THIS CONDO!!" and my thought is "A room with no books is like a body without a soul." Rich, some good books that I have read is books of Edgar Allen Poe's complete works, Chaucer's "Canterbury Tales"; my labor book; the illustrated book of religions, (you'd have to see it to understand it); then just too many other books to name here.
What are you doing with Mein Kampf, Rich??? Planning on taking over the world soon?? (J/k, Rich!!) If I did a video of my books, it would be a miracle, because it would take me getting the eyeball camera downstairs & walking on water.
check out my new book 'Three Men in a Hut and other Essays' on Kindle for a dollar. It's a book of Christian apologetics, counterblasts against contemporary culture, BBC and liberal bias, homophobia and other examples of Newspeak, and rational criticism of Darwinism and scientific support of intelligent design.
I also have Mein Kampf , agree 'required reading' because they are coming for us. Koran even more so. I keep them with Origin of Species in my downstairs toilet
I hope books never disappear. all the new contraptions and alternative ways we can read will never replace the enjoyment of actual books. the sight, texture and smell of books (weird?) is all part of the joy of reading. I instilled a love of reading in my kids from early on and its still a power in their lives as adults.
I'm a huge book freak also, and I finally got a Kindle Fire for Christmas and I'm still torn about giving up my physical books! Maybe it's just me, but it seems like I read books faster on the kindle than in paper form? Weird, and by all means, show your books!
I love books! I don't have a ton anymore, I thought they would be best served shared, but I did keep a few. Like you my dad really enjoyed the historically correct fiction books. I lean more toward the "how it used to be done" type of book, as well as wood working projects, plant identification and naming, at one time I had a bunch of religious books, all dealing with different religions, books on Native American stories,Myths, and traditions, true books on overcoming adversity..too many to list

I think I will do a video similiar to yours great idea, don't care for some of your selections. Books are the key to everything this world has to offer us.
@MadBadVoodo Chris Hitchens did not change his mind according to a Christian doctor who was at his deathbed. That doesn't mean he was right.
His brother Peter Hitchens used to be a commie atheist too but changed his mind and heart, his Mail on Sunday blog is well worth reading, he is my favouirite conservative commentator.
The Bible contains strong corroborative evidence in terms of fulfilled prophecy. This is completely unique for any system of thought.
@MadBadVoodo it is your right to believe what you want, but if Hitchens was alive, i dont think he would be happy about someone saying something like that
I read about 40 books a year and I will be 70 in about 6 weeks. No library is complete without the book on Harry S. Truman called Plain Speaking. The best WWII book is A Soldiers Story by Bradley. Almost anything written by Stephen E. Ambrose. The Autobiography of Ben Franklin gives you a first hand story of early America. Just to name a few. I have over 1200 books that I have read. It would have been cheaper to have gotten them from the library, but I like to own books.
As a theologian, I have thousands of books. One very interesting read on the Middle Ages is: A World Lit Only By Fire by William Manchester. Talk about real survival situations..those guys lived every day what we purport to prepare for.
Not surprised your into books or even some of the topics you have books about. Except for some of the PC related books you have those did kinda surprise me.
check out the devine comedy of dante. make sure you get a good translation with elxplanations of the references. it gives great insight into the politics of 13th century italy and also an interesting interpretation of the realtionship with god, satan, and man.
Pretty cool! If I ever get mine unpacked from moving twice in one year I'll do video :) In my next home I will be building in a year or so I will have a small library!
I love books, too! Thanks for sharing - you should show more!
You should get "The Bastiat Collection". It's a collection of works from Frederic Bastiat, who is pretty much Thomas Jefferson on steroids (sadly born in France, though). Trust me, unless you're a commie, you'll love his stuff!!! Plus, I think it's only $14 right now...
youve got a hannity book but no oreilly or glenn beck books lol i spend alot of time reading n will read most anything that i think i can learn something from ive read every louis l amour book too i need to get some book shelves built myself so that my books can be displayed
I agree about Hannity too lol. I cannot force myself to watch that guy. I mean I consider myself very conservative, but I think that guy often attacks Democrats legitimately but will also nitpick them over silly things and then give a pass to republicans for just about anything. I just don't like that kind of dishonesty. Beck is another guy that I can't watch but I did like his book.
I am wondering what you thought of Killing Lincoln? I get audio books and listen to them at work and in the car but a few that I have listened to recently that I enjoy are Killing Lincoln, Economics in One Lesson by Henry Hazlitt, Applied Economics by Thomas Sowell, Arguing with Idiots by Glen Beck, The Art of War by Sun Tzu, Pinheads and Patriots by O'Reilly. My next one will either be the George Washington book Beck just did or The Wealth of Nations by Adam Smith. Have you read any of those?
Oh Crap! Now I'm going to have to pull all my books out of storage. At least those that aren't in bookshelves. I guess I could do a screenshot of my Kindle books. A MUST read for every CCWer out there. Out of print & a little dated, but will give you a whole new outlook on carrying a gun.
A book I just finished combines guns and politics. The book, AK 47 by Larry Kahaner, has less than 20 pages about the gun. The remaining 200 pages are about the behind the scenes actions by the U.S. and many Communist regimes that have created turmoil in most of the world. The US has been one of the larger purchasers of AK's and has warehouses full of them on US soil.
