I have a question on the newest expansion, at what levels can you go to the new areas (I mean, at what level would it be appropriate)? I know of the 20-40 level area, but is there anything from 50-70? My necro is lvl50, and my ranger lvl54, so is there any point in buying the expansion for me at the moment? I'm considering resubbing but I guess I should just resub instead of buying the expansion and then when I get higher lvls I'll buy the expansion? I don't intend to make a new char. :)
@Luthicwoot If you're already past 40 then you don't want to go to any of the other Khitai zones since they are for lvl 80 characters. But there are all kind of bonus items you can get with the expansion like XP potions that will help you get there faster, and you'll start earning a little bit of AA XP for your lvl 80 mastery.

For people who already have the original game from what I understand is the retail version you will upgrade your account with the godslayer and get the tortage starter pack and 30 days free game time. With the digital version you get just godslayer but afterwards you can purchase additional things like the tortage sarter pack and the collectors edition.
i havent played age of conan for long time ! .. but the expansion .. is it for some lvl u need to be to get into the new expansion? or if u are a new player.. u need to buy both games and start from lvl 1 in the first age of conan?
@attraction8511 What they have been saying so far is that for the new players, the retail copy will have both games in it. But there is content in the expantion that caters to lower level players(lvl20-40) in the opening area of kithai, also the new kithan race to go along with it.
AoC improved drastically... After 4 years of WoW when I bought AoC at launch I was horrified and played for maybe 1 month before I canceled. But when I gave it another shot 3 months ago I was amazed and I got hooked. Zoning is not so bad and instancing is no longer an issue because it's REALLY toned down. I rolled Herald of Xotli and I have to say the class is rock solid, very fun to play and polished. Gameplay is really fluid now since they improved the combo system too.
This game is a total joke...dont waste yer money on this shitt...seriously. Loading screens all over the place...horrible dreadful looking gear...everybody wearing SKIRTS!! all the way to lvl 80

i got AoC when it was released. played it with a friend for a while, but then i had to quit, because there wasnt anything to do once you level capped. my friend still plays it sadly and all he does is level characters, i think hes levelled about 14 characters so far, all he does is delete 1 character to level another to max level. pointless if you ask me, but since theres very limited end game, its all you can really do.
@Syceth sry to say but that's bullshit, i have played it since release and i have 2 lvl 80s and some lvl 50s and i still play active. There is alot of raiding and pvp, you need to spend ALOT of time to get the best gear. So i think that your friend haven't even played the game in end game
hes done all the tier 1 bosses, the dragon, kylikkii(however you spell it), also he has done all of the tier 2 black temple(black something cant remember the name). im un sure about the tier 3 that just recently came out though.
@Syceth To get all gear you need you need to do ALOT of runs, Tier 3 haven't been cleared by anyone yet so that's still a challenge. And the raids reset every tuesday, i do Black ring citadel (t2) every week. That takes about 8 hours of gameplay for all wings and i still need loot from it. You have raids to do for a LONG time in aoc. I have 2 lvl 80s and raided every week for 3 months. Still need alot of gear... and pvp

@enter6Lok i play it and i think you should give it a try. There is a free trial out there so check it out. And yes there is alot of players, atleast on Fury pvp server and Crom pve server. But join a guild and you will get help easier.
This game has an Arrow Key combat system..FIVE arrow keys for melee players! This is totally foreign to anything you have ever played before...it BLOWS
I would compare it to driving a car with FIVE FEET.....totally unnecessary bullshitt... when they could have easily used the standard combat model
@MatrixFactoryGuy The combat system is freakin awesume in this game. You have to be one of few who dislikes it. Why? you activate a combo(special attack) and then you need the right arrow combination to make it work. Most combos need 1 2 or 3 combinations to exceed. That makes the gameplay more skilled.
This game is STILL a piece of shitt...don't even waste yer time. You spend 80% of your time ZONING into another ZONE or building. Everywhere you go....you waiting on loading screens

@lordwouter7 Then i suggest you to go there, yes it's possible. Find a group for DMC, nuke like hell. Doubble xp = very good xp, very good. So if you don't want to level with quest, it is possible to fast grind to 80.

@lordwouter7 How does the combat system make less skill? you dont know there is combos in the game? you need to activate combo and then do the right combination and at the same time circle strafe and combo skipe. And prepare what to do next, if you haven't figured out how it works you need to play more. There is ALOT more skill and ALOT less gear dependent then WoW etc. A lvl 75 can own a lvl 80 in epic if they are good. Have seen it loads of time in duels.

@lordwouter7 and Leewander, Both of you are right in ways, AoC has done a complete 180 from its botched launch. The combo system has had its tweeks in the past and is much better, There isn't a lack of combos, as i also play a guard at 80, there are a ton of tools for the guard so i'm not sure what your saying about lack of combos or how the class is lacking. I good guardian can royally wreck nearly any class if played right. Dont let one class ruin the game for you though. Try it, you'll see.
I've just started trialing this after hearing its much improved. never played it originally as I heard bad things too early on. Its really good, best mmo out there right now. It requires more than just button mashing which is a novelty in the cater for all money money money developing style we see to much now.
@Nawllets if you feel the game play is rather slow (what i can´t even belive) roll an assasin and start on proper PvP server. You can be as fast with your moves that others can hardly recognize what your are doing with them.

well i have been playing the game since launch and have seen massive improvements. At first the game had horrible latency issues and memory leaks. However the game is alot better now in fact its very balanced and polished. Dont make judgements based on your first two weeks of play. That was stupid of you to have left there has never been an mmo that was flawless 2 weeks after launch its never happened and never will.
I think he says that he left the game aftert patch 1.5 not 2 weeks after game launch :] and I know what he 's saying about casters.They became overpowered, so almost everyone created new chars, all casters.Demos and necros because it was so easy to play, hitting only one button, no combos, and damage around 1,5-2 k :], I think things are much better now, it's just learning how to play each class.
I quit like 2 weeks afterk 1.5 just couldn't stand that noobs actually were able to kill people just cuz of their class. Melees became easymode and casters even better

@Syceth To get all gear you need you need to do ALOT of runs, Tier 3 haven't been cleared by anyone yet so that's still a challenge. And the raids reset every tuesday, i do Black ring citadel (t2) every week. That takes about 8 hours of gameplay for all wings and i still need loot from it. You have raids to do for a LONG time in aoc. I have 2 lvl 80s and raided every week for 3 months. Still need alot of gear... and pvp

Well i really wanna begin playing this game. But first. Do many play this game? i feel like walking around need help to quest but no one is here to help. And second of all i have to ask my ass parrents. They kinda hate MMOS but its worth a try ;)

@enter6Lok i play it and i think you should give it a try. There is a free trial out there so check it out. And yes there is alot of players, atleast on Fury pvp server and Crom pve server. But join a guild and you will get help easier.

This game has an Arrow Key combat system..FIVE arrow keys for melee players! This is totally foreign to anything you have ever played before...it BLOWS
I would compare it to driving a car with FIVE FEET.....totally unnecessary bullshitt... when they could have easily used the standard combat model

@MatrixFactoryGuy The combat system is freakin awesume in this game. You have to be one of few who dislikes it. Why? you activate a combo(special attack) and then you need the right arrow combination to make it work. Most combos need 1 2 or 3 combinations to exceed. That makes the gameplay more skilled.

This game is STILL a piece of shitt...don't even waste yer time. You spend 80% of your time ZONING into another ZONE or building. Everywhere you go....you waiting on loading screens

@lordwouter7 Then i guess you don't like MMOs? because conan is really easy to level. No grind at all if you don't want to grind. And if you like to grind you can get from 61-80 in less then 1 day.

@lordwouter7 Then i suggest you to go there, yes it's possible. Find a group for DMC, nuke like hell. Doubble xp = very good xp, very good. So if you don't want to level with quest, it is possible to fast grind to 80.

@lordwouter7 How does the combat system make less skill? you dont know there is combos in the game? you need to activate combo and then do the right combination and at the same time circle strafe and combo skipe. And prepare what to do next, if you haven't figured out how it works you need to play more. There is ALOT more skill and ALOT less gear dependent then WoW etc. A lvl 75 can own a lvl 80 in epic if they are good. Have seen it loads of time in duels.

@lordwouter7 and Leewander, Both of you are right in ways, AoC has done a complete 180 from its botched launch. The combo system has had its tweeks in the past and is much better, There isn't a lack of combos, as i also play a guard at 80, there are a ton of tools for the guard so i'm not sure what your saying about lack of combos or how the class is lacking. I good guardian can royally wreck nearly any class if played right. Dont let one class ruin the game for you though. Try it, you'll see.

I've just started trialing this after hearing its much improved. never played it originally as I heard bad things too early on. Its really good, best mmo out there right now. It requires more than just button mashing which is a novelty in the cater for all money money money developing style we see to much now.

@Nawllets if you feel the game play is rather slow (what i can´t even belive) roll an assasin and start on proper PvP server. You can be as fast with your moves that others can hardly recognize what your are doing with them.

well i have been playing the game since launch and have seen massive improvements. At first the game had horrible latency issues and memory leaks. However the game is alot better now in fact its very balanced and polished. Dont make judgements based on your first two weeks of play. That was stupid of you to have left there has never been an mmo that was flawless 2 weeks after launch its never happened and never will.

I think he says that he left the game aftert patch 1.5 not 2 weeks after game launch :] and I know what he 's saying about casters.They became overpowered, so almost everyone created new chars, all casters.Demos and necros because it was so easy to play, hitting only one button, no combos, and damage around 1,5-2 k :], I think things are much better now, it's just learning how to play each class.
