They never show clothing in any human weapon movie...no-gi androids???
Technically incorrect in that too. Grab positions on forearm easily broken and the functional hip placement not great as mentioned- gi or no-gi.
Mind you no-gi is more brawn and sweat assists the aggressive combatant, a factor that is mitigated by gi-on grappling, requiring more precise application of technique for effective wins.
Who needs a gi; I can grab the arm too, to throw its obviously easier to pull clothing than fight wrestling, that's why the MMA has gone the near naked look of tight shorts...lol.
My comment was more that the other guy would simply pull his arm out from this weak attack because its not tight in the clip.

Poor technique demonstrated,
It isn't the push down of the thigh and arm that does the damage although they are critical in setting up the armlock,
It's the raising of the hips not shown here!
Commencing the drill with
The double forearm entry grab is sometimes tricky to bridge the gap, a sleeve end or wrist and a neck or collar grip is more efficient!

@PardonMySanity correct, the gi is used today to simulate coats, and many people use those.
