  • love it, Great singer... never heard of him untill 1 week ago. The song keeps hanging in my head. Woke up this morning with it and had to play it.

  • That sucks !!!

  • Jazz is awesome.

  • いいな〜!ポールのクィーンへのオマージュだよね。

    アメリカのキッズたちには知れ渡っている隠れた名曲。

  • i am one of the 3 dislikers

  • @AlphaStraG I'm the only one who's gonna like your comment... very honest

  • @fechi5

    perhaps he was "very honest"

but what gave you the idea that "being honest" changes what people did?!

being honest isn't a "great vitue"... it's just what everyone should be... not being makes you an asshole

being makes you what you should be... nothing more than that...

  • @Picurs ok, then I like him because he's not an asshole

  • @AlphaStraG Y U Dont like paul!

  • @AlphaStraG Your comment was a Waste of Time.

  • muito bom

  • this song is frikking legendary and RnB is a waste of time.

  • Somewhat similar to Freddie Mercury with a bit of Klaus Meine. I like it!

  • Freddie's back!!!!

  • i love this song..

  • OMG...Wat a fucking great solo tht was..SHit! :o

  • As with just about all of Paul's songs, this is a VERY well crafted pop-shred song. It has all the elements of a great song plus incredible guitar shred technique. Love it!

  • This is a brilliant song!......This is the type of music which should be in the charts instead of all the crap that we have to endure!

I love Paul Gilbert's music and guitar playing!

  • This is excellent!

  • They are great! Long live to Paul and Freddie. I'm waiting for the next cd.

  • his singing reminds me a lot of freddy mercury. great song

  • paul gilbert is amazing with his guitar work, absolutely amazing

  • Fin liten sommer-låt

  • Freddie Nelson's voice = Bono's voice.

  • @sauronKN39

    Whao. Yeah.

  • @sauronKN39 What?? That's not very nice.

  • freddie nelsons voice is a mix of matt belamy and freddie mercury

  • This is such amazing music.

  • Freddie You rock ....always have always will Love you......Leanne

  • This is a textbook example of how to write a great, pop/rock song! Great melody, fantastic musicianship (do you expect anything less from Paul Gilbert?), and an incredibly talented singer in Freddie Nelson (who does sound very much like the late, great, Freddie Mercury - which is the highest of compliments)! I am really looking forward to any future collaborations between Paul and Freddie. This is the best album I have heard this century!

  • @IvanMtl

definately a great album (and yes, onee of pauls best). and very brave to release in these times. but then again, paul can do anything he wants :P and often does... and it works (Y)

  • freddie "mercury" nelson

  • Freddy Mercury's alive.. :O :O :O

  • @HellMustFearMe777 Is he living on the moon with Hitler and Presley?

  • @IronTiger63 No not that I know of.. Last time I checked he lived at mars with MJ and John Lennon. :P

  • I love this song !!! And the solo too !!!! *3*

  • pettergrefin 3? Geez don't do any favors

  • Wow love Paul's work. The singer is awesome.

  • Freddie Nelson =D

  • Whos the Vocalist?Shit it sounds a lot like Freddie Mercury!!

  • JOIN QUEEN BITCH!

  • Got the CD a few days ago and this and the last rock and roll star are my favourite off of it.

  • I'm starting to hear the Freddie Mercury in Nelson's voice, but when I first heard him, I immediately thought of Robin Zander. This album is great BTW. By far the best out of Paul GIlbert's pop rock output!

  • Wow, I heard Zander too! I was thinking it was only me. I also think they could do a cool remake of Cheap Trick's, Reach Out, with Paul comping the keyboard part with guitar.

  • Hmm, I dont like vocals with shredding combined, but I must admint Freddie Nelson was fucking insane.

  • Just picked up the CD. ROCK & ROLL!

  • THIS IS GREAT.

I hope one day music like that , will come back .

    Hope fuckin rnb dies

  • bad rnb

  • lol. I got nothing more to say about your comment I think.

  • @baambaaml2

If you want your rock to live BUY IT. Stop downloading it for free.... Music lives and dies with who buys it.

  • @baambaaml2 Fucking right it should

  • @baambaaml2

I hope one day proper comma usage comes back.

I hope R&B LIVES ON FOREVER, BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

  • Paul is God

  • pablo gilberto is also god :D

  • Freddie Mercury!!!!!!!!! LOL

  • this reminds me queen

  • At the beginning it sounds like queen

  • At the risk of sounding kinda gay (which I'm not by the way....just to clarify) Pauls playing and Freddies vocals on this song gives me goose bumps. Just shows how an incredible shredder can make a pop song extremely cool. I've been in music for a long time and when a song makes my skin tingle and my foot tap and my head nod to the beat....it's all good.

  • you FAG! hahahahaha why dont u go suck pauls dick.... lol dude u need to relax u neednt be paranoid that the tool ass douche bags on youtube may misconstrue your reception of this song as gay. this song is tight and that guys pretty good singer

  • Okay. Thanks. I think....lol Paul is a guy who can shred the hell out of a guitar AND write songs that are more accessible to the more pop minded yet still throw some awesome licks in there.

  • lol!!!! That coming from a guy who calls himself an aristocrat. Well, I guess you know all about gay there buddy.

  • lol

  • Paul Gilbert's Flanger in the intro was kickass! Sick harmony riffs

  • ooooooo i can taste some queen .very cool

  • Brilliant! Falsetto goodness and typical Gilbert tearing-it-up-edness.

  • I still like his neoclassic and metal a lot more :)

  • Even some of pauls guitar licks remind me of Brian may.

    like at 1:05

  • I think this song kinda sounds like No doubts Spiderwebs.

  • like the backup sound guitar at 1.27...P

  • yea omg really queen music, then i heard a glimt of paul gilbert there at 0.19 :P then i felt home again.

  • Freddie Nelson's voice kinda reminds me of Freddie Mercury's.

  • Kinda ? He is so close its scary, listen to him queen covers, there should be a medley on youtube.

  • @Stevemcsteve It realy does...and it sounds like it´s just the way his voice is....great... :-)

  • I love Paul Gilbert as a "solo artist", i really like his instrumental albums, but i gave this one a chance, and i F***n' love it, great rock songs.

  • Why are people getting so stressed over this album being a little bit pop? Last time I checked he was a professional musician who covered pretty much every genre, not just metal.

  • besides, his solo work has very pop things in them. Good albums too, may I add

  • wow, this song really rocks out

  • hm....Freddie Nelson...... rocks!

It's something between The Darkness and Mr Big with a special Freddie Mercury's inspiration...

but it doesn't mean that they don't deserve any merit for song! not at all...

by the way, cool tune! keep rocking! love paul gilbert! the best guitar player in the world!

  • Sounds a little bit like Queen, very cool

  • i love it!!!!

sounds soo great. LOVE da guitar play!!!

i wish i could play like that

  • Fucking Awesome!!!!!

  • haha love it! album orderd!

  • paul sos de lo mejorcito que escuche

  • Wow I love it! Great stuff.

Singer really does sound like Mercury which is not a bad thing.

  • Uhhhh... what?

  • So it's a pop-inflected rock album...big deal! Grow up. I clicked on this because of Paul Gilbert, but to be honest, Freddie Nelson is the one that shines here, pop or not.

  • I saw Fred play at the Claridge fair..it was outstanding...for real..in a field

  • Yes he can. Freddie is one amazing guitar player!

  • I read in an interview with Paul that Freddie Nelson can play guitar like Paul can.

  • Paul Gilbert, stunning player like always... one of the best shredders ever. And yeah, the dude sounds chillingly like Freddie Mercury. A goddamn great singer... His "I..." at the beginning reminds a lot of the "I..." at the beginning of "I Was Born To Love You" by Freddie Mercury. He sounds very much like a modern rock version of Freddie Mercury.

  • BONO!?!?!

  • This guy is way better.

  • I agree!! Freddie is awesome. But someone said before that his voice is the same as Bono's... and i thought... wtf!?

  • WOW! This is a great song. This guy can really sing. Great voice and killer guitar by Paul as always. I hope this Paul and Freddie thing lasts for at least a couple of albums.

  • I think he really sounds like Freddie Mercury

  • are those sequenced drums?

  • I showed this song to a friend and he was like

    "Cool, is it Queen?"

  • Are you fucking drunk?

  • Awesome song.

By the way, does someone has the lirycs, please?

  • Great song! I saw their gig in Osaka earlier this year and it was really great to hear the variety between instrumental guitar music and "vocal" music. During this song we were asked to sing along to the part "it's a waste of time". These guys can really put on a awesome show and are great at interacting with their audience. I was surprised there wasn't any other foreigners at the show apart from myself.

  • Perfect song. Paul Gilbert!

  • I admit I'm also from UG, and like nearly everyone who's seen this lately I'm here to see if this guy actually does sound like Freddie.

which I have to say, I am pleasantly surprised, he does remind me of Freddie ^.^

  • There is nothing wrong with UG and tabs as long as you dont rely on them completely.

  • Just wondering...what the heck is UG?

  • Ultimate Guitar. It's a website that has guitar tabs, lessons, reviews, and other stuff too. :]

  • Ahh well in that case, I'm not here from UG like most people are. I personally prefer to just use 911tabs.

  • Wow. I see a lot og UG references, I am guilty as well lol But glad I did. He's pretty good.

  • almosteverybody here is from UG. Including me.

  • Awesome song!

  • damn dude, im really digging the vocals

I love queen and this reminds me of them

  • This is great, read the UG interview and thought it might be as bad as chicken foot.

  • holy fucking shit this is awesome

  • Holy shit.... I just read an interveiw with Paul where he talked about this and I had to check it out. So glad I did!

  • UG? Thats y I'm here

  • hell yea.

  • Respect!

  • they should make a band together...

  • they did.

    thats what this is lol

  • Actually they aren't in a band together. Freddie is the singer in one of Paul's highschool friend's band. They grew up in the same town, but then Paul went to MI in LA and Freddie and some of his friends made a band and Paul got a demo at a wedding where he met his friend and 'borrowed' Freddie to make a collaborative album.

  • paul gilbert -freddie mercury.......oops sorry freddie nelson

  • I'm usually a bigger fan of Paul's instrumental stuff, but damn, this song is frickin' awesome.

  • Where can I find the lyrics!

  • listen

  • I'm Finnish so I can't get all the words! And that's annoying..

  • i feel so far away, its such a lonely day away from you i feel like celaphane, i look right thru the pain to catch a glimpse of you Chorus- i know time is wasting no more hesitatin you say its a waste of time i know time is precious, your not over special you say it a waste of time -
  • i try to put it all behind

try to drink you off my mind

    cause im not near you

oh I dig out the gold all day?

    took my gun ran away?

    now im not near you

    chorus

look at you starin at the floor

    walkin out my door

    yeah, oo-oo

  • i felt so far away, no more lonely days

    away from you

HO, I know time is wastin

    Im not hesitatin

i say its a waste of time

    i know time is precious

  • happy?

  • Thanks alot mate!

  • Wow, thanks for posting...this is a great tune. I just heard Paul has rejoined Mr. Big and will tour Japan. But I hope these two guys will put out more music in the future.

  • Really? Where did you hear that?

  • just google it, it's everywhere :D

  • i think hes reuniting with Mr big only for the shows in japan

  • Freddie hasn't played at The Rhythm House Cafe in awhile. He does still sit in with Tres Lads occassionaly.

  • Tres Lads - Got You Where I Want You -

great version - check it out on you tube.

  • Freddie plays with Tres Lads

  • ya sorry every thursday night sorry

  • Sorry but he hasn't been playing with them all the time, Walter Ino and Justin Sellers have been doing the Rhythm House shows.

  • Belive it or not but i know freddie nelson and you can catch his band tres lads at the rythem house in pittsburgh every night

  • Every Thursday night that is...

  • Freddy Nelson.......PURE TALENT !! LOVE HIS VOICE !

    ROCK ON BABY........

    Leanne

  • At first, this song would really remind me of Avril Lavigne but I ended up simply loving it ;)

I like the album although I think that there should be at least 2 more songs like "Pulsar" (Paul's singin is still really cool).

  • I LOVE this song!! Great voice Freddie Nelson has and what isn't there to love about Paul Gilbert.

  • Wow...this sounds like Brian May died instead of Freddie Mercury and they replaced May with Paul Gilbert! Gilbert and Nelson are a great combo! 5/5 Stars from me!

  • Amazing album! hope when its released here it gets the recognition it deserves! im a big queen/mr big fan, i can defnitly hear the influences and this album is my album of the year!!!

  • Having seen Paul and his excellent band supporting Satriani May 2008, I had a feeling a release like this would be on the way as Paul pulled (no pun intended) some excellent vocal work. This is the best direction since SFBADR is one of the best instrumental albums of this century easily.

Excellent only three tracks in so far. Hope I am not alone but I am hearing the obvious influences of MR BIG, Queen, Van Halen, classic 60s song writing etc, also saxon and dio on track 3, many suprises!!

  • im buying!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i love the way that freddie akes honor to his name :)

listen "bad times good" and you WILL be listening freddie mercury risen from the dead^^

  • Wow. I can't wait for the CD to be released in America!

  • Amazing Freddie just what we expected!

  • yer i think its a mix of queen and kinda like manic street preachers too, i love this song, it rocks!!!

  • wow if this is what most of the songs will sound like I can't fucking wait for this. old school Paul.

  • You're in for a treat then. This is an EXCELLENT! album showcasing two amazing musicians.

  • Finally some pop from the excellent Paul Gilbert. Love the song

  • This CD is a mix of mr Big and Queen !

  • This and i´m not addicted are my favorites of the album. Go Paul!

  • EVERYTHING Paul does amazes me! I just found out about this record and had never heard of Freddie before, but... What a singer! Thanks for making my Christmas even better!

  • the singer sounds like Freddie Mercury sometimes. Am I right? Could this song be inspired by Queen?

  • Thanks for posting!!! I have been trying to find some of these songs. I am a big fan of Paul and Too Tall Jones kicked ass! Check out Too Tall Jones Myspace page to hear what Freddie did before this.

  • Greta voice Freddie!!! amazing!!!

and Paul obvious the most fast of the midle west!!!, I feel a different tone on the guitar, a litle of Bryan May maybe, but with de fingers of Paul...

I can't wait for this album...

    Thank you for the song!

    Regards from Chile

  • thanks so much for this!! ive been waiting for an international release to buy it and this gives me a little teaser, cheers.
