  • I purchased my P250 over 3 years ago. I love the dam thing. Easy to take apart and clean. Reliable, and simply a grab and go gun. I have shot over 1500 rounds in it, and never a problem. I purposely did not clean it for 500 rounds, and did not have a problem. It was $600 when I purchased it 3 years ago at Academy.

  • No one has shot mine and not liked it. If you get used to the trigger, it's a very good gun. Mine's the compact .45.

  • I have the p250 in 9mm in the full size frame and I really like it,shoots really well....I paid around 349.00 about a 3 months ago....great gun.

  • Fuck... That's a kick ass gun for the price... That's a good deal, fuckin.. period. How does it compare to a 226 in terms of what it's like to pull the slide back, etc?

  • @mikeb1444 It feels about like a P226, but it's definitely not as smooth. You have four contact points on the rails (two per side), instead of the 2 (full length) rails on the P226, so I imagine that's why. Trigger is of course very different. P226 is DA/SA, this is DAO... very revolver-like, but one of the best DAO's I've used. Nice sights, very accurate if you can manage the long DA trigger, and a good affordable alternative to a more expensive steel or alum. framed model. I like mine a lot.

  • never thought i'd say this but that is one cheap sig lol

  • $699? I got mine for $370! And it's a .45!

  • @Jiffypistol Really? We sell them for 299 now. Go figure.

  • @MadOgre why the steep drop in price?

  • @DrFunky4 idk but gander mountain has them for 399 and they are not the cheapest place to buy they want $700 for a XDM

  • @MadOgre Clearance.

  • @MadOgre lots of people hate the thing.. same as my dad. i loved it personally. to boot the whole thing could be thrown in a full size grip/slide for 285 now

  • What version of the lower frame is that, is that the old one?

  • what do you think of a sig p220 45acp

  • @gunsandexplosives Love it. It's been called "The Thinking Man's .45" for a good reason.

  • If this Sig has sooooooooooooo many options then why the H.E.L.L. does everyone on youtube show it in the 9mm. I mean come on, let's see the .357, .40, or .45 sometime.

  • @dallas11111979 Because I sell 9mm's 4 to 1 to the other calibers.

  • Why? if it is because of the fired casing thing, Sig will provide one if asked. I am dealer and sell a lot in Maryland (otherwise known as the Peoples Republik of Maryland) When I order a Sig, I just ask for a fired casing. It's free. If it is the lock thing, see if the "Omega lock" is acceptable. It is in Maryland.

  • saw a bi tone one at a gun show the other day..want it

  • Just wondering if you have any trigger time on the pistol? does it shoot like a true Sig or just another Mosquito mistake>>>>>>>>> Thx

  • The short reset on the trigger is nice but my problem with the modular platform is that the trigger mechanism rattles within the frame and just isn't as solid as the classic Sig line. Thumbs up definitely for being able to swap out and all but I wasn't too impressed with this when I shot it.

  • I'd consider getting one if the ATF didn't say it was unreliable.

  • @migkillertwo

Where does the ATF say that the P250 is Unreliable??? Show me a link or something. Saying such things without something to back it up does not help at all. Thanks!

  • @RubiconTSL A simple google search will reveal a government accountability office's report that ATF evaluators experienced far more stoppages than either the S&W or Glock models during live fire testing.

  • @migkillertwo The US Air Marshals who have adopted the P250 are now not very happy with it at all. They used to use the P229 and are wishing they could go back to it.

  • is this the subcompact, or compact?

  • @nickp827 that was a compact. subcompacts do not have rails on it. also another way to tell is that the full size and compact sizes are squared around the trigger, the subcompact being rounded out and without a rail for accessories, of course.

i love this gun, i have a subcompact as my concealed carry

  • Why 8 out of 10? What's troubling about the p250 for you? Thanks.

  • Is this thing still retailing for 699 like you said? I see these P250s on Gunbroker and such for like 425 to 450 new in box, been that way for the last year or so.

  • Can you order this gun in .45acp or do you have to buy a conversion kit?

  • i own this pistol, very nice. comfortable and easy to shoot.

  • I used to think this gun was ugly as sin when I first saw it. But I have to say it's growing on me. The modular features on it seem to be a nice touch on it too. Thanks for posting the vid.

  • Do you think that the main component of the firearm being removed so easily will be a durability/reliability issue in the long run? How does this compare with a Glock? Specifically a .45?? Thumbs up!

  • My dumbass state bands them....screw you massachusetts!!!

  • @BOSTONIRISH17 why would they ban them, its just a normal capacity semiauto pistol...

  • Rofl...Female shooters vs. sissy guys....FIGHT

  • bass pro here in town is selling it for 580. i saw that and couldnt pass it up. that and a fobus holster makes one hell of a combo.

  • I like how the night sights come with standard price. That should be the standard for all pistols in my opinion.

  • doesent dropping the mag out of a gun so it lands on the floor damage the mag?

  • Not really.

  • @MATTNATTMATT yes dont br tricked it does damage ur mag

  • do you think you could do a vid about the different slides and such? I was thinking about getting a full sized and then getting a compact slide later on.

  • Um I have a question, im only 16 and live in australia anddddd i dunno where the safety button thing is?

  • The P250 doesn't have one.

  • @FazeDxCreationZ It's Double-Action Only so, as with most DOA pistols, it doesn't have a safety. This isn't to say that ALL DOAs don't have a safety, but it's to be expected.

  • @FazeDxCreationZ You have to use the "Universal" Safety available on ALL guns... Keep your finger off the trigger until your ready to shoot !

  • So do you.

The P250 has an excellent trigger pull. These are very good weapons.

  • Much agreed! To me, best trigger on a stock handgun out there...

  • I would like it better if the top was also black like the rest of the gun.

  • The 2022 will be made, they're just not going to import 'em.

And this is one instance where we'd have a "good" SIGMA - ie: a poly pistol for about $200 less than the premium 250.

That said, the 250 does feel sweet.

  • do they come in anything other than 9mm?

  • Yes 9mm, .40s&w, .357sig, and .45 acp and im hoping other rounds like 10mm, 22lr and not so popular hand gun rounds.

  • k now i am sooo heading to the gun store lol i hope they hav either a .40 or .45 in stock =)

  • Now they don't use the same grip so the .40 can be .357 sig and 9mm but the .45 is pretty much by itself for now so choose wisely!

  • 9mm, .40 S&W, .357 SIG and .45ACP

  • If your looking for a mid-sized gun, refer to Ogre's mid size comparo video. The P30 HK, CZ P07 DUTY, & Glock 19 are better choices IMHO.

  • The SigPro 2022 trumps this gun. These are not selling well for Sig, yet the model its intended to replace (sp2022) continues to sell like hot cakes.

In fact Sig just dropped the price on these because they arent selling. An over-hyped concept that has fallen on its face. Interchangeable back straps is a better and simpler idea.

That being said, another great video however from the Ogre. I still wanna try that slipstream lube!!

  • Unfortunately, This one trumped the SIGPRO, as this is it's replacement. The Pro is no longer produced and not in the newest catalogs.

They are sixes in many respects... they are both SIG's after all.

  • Yeah bad move in my opinion. They'll still be made just not for civilian use. They still have a lot of contracts with mil/le for the 2022. You should still be able to get parts for quite some time though. TheP250 and the mosquito are my least favorite Sigs lol.

  • It's still built - they just don't want to market it in the US because, I don't know, maybe SIG doesn't think Americans have the brain power to handle two different polymer pistols.

It could also be that those wishes to kill the SIGMA got crossed to SIG and their sigpro, so you need to start sending SIG retractory thoughts.

  • i dont like how the barrel is at an angle.. im used to straight 1911 style barrels

  • both of their barrels tilt when the slide moves back and it is tilted when the slide is locked back.

  • Interesting desing I like it! I have yet to try a Sig, this might have to be my 1st one, haha

  • I looked at the p250, and it's a nice gun for the money, but the DAO with loooooong take up and was a deal breaker for me.

Good for midsize carry but crap for IDPA.

  • Carbine kit huh I kind of like a sig p250 with a 16 inch barrel LOL!

  • only problem is that when you make it a carbine, it legally becomes a rifle. if you convert it back to a pistol, you will then have an illegal SBR. it makes no sense i know.

  • There HAD to be a person at the BATFE that laid a brick when that came across the desk.

The carbine kit will probably never come-that whole SBR thing is what I'd put money on them classifying the carbine version of.

Though one could look at at this ask "what exactly defines a receiver?" I know this is not a receiver but the modularity does bring questions to existing BATFE regulations in my opinion.

  • i picked one up for $499 last year

  • Coolness

  • I can see metal and match grip frames in the future for this pistol.

  • excellent toy!
