I played Halo 3 and thought the gameplay was terrible the only good parts were the story scenes and from what I heard it was the same with MGS 4, so I am going to flat out say both games fail miserably.
Both series have amazing stories.MGS's is more centered around the snakes, but Halo's expands on many different characters and perspectives.Even the Covenant have a huge backstory and perspective.

WTF? Who put this Halo 3 shit with the masterpiece - MGS4??? First off, MGS4 is still a stealth game and Halo 3 is a shooter. If you want to compare games, make it Halo 3 vs Killzone 2, although Halo 3 would still lose!
Halo's story mode is sh!t, so it's mostly an online game, and MGS4 has an awesome storyline, and since storyline means much more to me, I choose MGS4.
ok here it is, MGS4 is WAY better! this is a game that actually touches your heart because so many people hav been playing with snake since MGS1. This is the best metal gear and unfortunately the last (with snake). there is no way that a game like halo can compete with a something like this. There is no mistaking that there is no better way to say goodbye to a character like snake, and that this is one of the best games ever made.
mgs has always had the better story line(this video made the gameplay look like shit), and halo has always had the better multiplayer(this video made a stupid attempt to make its story line better).
they're 2 absolutely different games, you can't really compare them. those who like military related game more will like mgs and sci-fi fans will like halo.
I always thought halo would be a great game because of how much everyone talked about it...... until I actually played it. Wow man, what a disappointment. I KNOW a generic Shooter won't satisfy me like a game as MGS4, that will keep me playing it long after i'm finished with the campaign, and will break my heart at it's grand finale. Games are the escape from reality, a new way to enter someone else's life and story, and make it your own, And personally, between choosing if I want my new life to be that of a super soldier who shoots aliens for no real un-shallow reason,or a warrior's heartbreaking story of tragedy and real war, The choice is easy.
i say mgs4 is better because skill are great hardly glitch in that game to use and the guns are way better and real in mgs 4 i love games that have real guns not like halo all up with the energy sword my favorite weapon but it seems to fake so my vote on mgs4

both are gerat games i personally think MGS4 is better cause you have a variety of stealth and just running in and killing everyone and Halo has a fun multiplayer but all in all they are both great games

Not in the slightest. MGS4 has more depth in gameplay, story, the graphics are miles ahead of Halo 3, and it has a lot more lasting value. Halo 3 is the same as Halo one except they put in a new ring and a giant talking plant. thats it. However MGS4 brought so many changes and new ideas to the table that it destroys the set standard. Halo's story mode is sh!t, so it's mostly an online game, and MGS4 has an awesome storyline, and since storyline means much more to me, I choose MGS4.

ok here it is, MGS4 is WAY better! this is a game that actually touches your heart because so many people hav been playing with snake since MGS1. This is the best metal gear and unfortunately the last (with snake). there is no way that a game like halo can compete with a something like this. There is no mistaking that there is no better way to say goodbye to a character like snake, and that this is one of the best games ever made.

I always thought halo would be a great game because of how much everyone talked about it...... until I actually played it. Wow man, what a disappointment. MGS on the other hand, is really amazing in terms of storyline. Only a few other games could ever compare with mgs storyline, which all seem to be jrpg's.

I KNOW a generic Shooter won't satisfy me like a game as MGS4, that will keep me playing it long after i'm finished with the campaign, and will break my heart at it's grand finale. Games are the escape from reality, a new way to enter someone else's life and story, and make it your own, And personally, between choosing if I want my new life to be that of a super soldier who shoots aliens for no real un-shallow reason,or a warrior's heartbreaking story of tragedy and real war, The choice is easy.

The game is alot a more beautiful, the characters the scenery. its a masterpiece. and you have a bigger game too!! the story mode is 3 times that of halo 3. MGS4 is serious? :D really? It has jokes every here and there. I mean, I played MGS4, and it truly is one of the best games ever made, and it truly is first interactive movie. Plus MGS4 has several "skins", camo-meter that shows how well you're camouflaged to your environment, has 69 weapons with different range-power relations, one-of-a-kind non-linear maps and, probably the best conclusion to any game storyline to date.

Because those cutscenes are enjoyable, well-made(and has really good english voice acting), they clear things for MGS-first-timers and most importantly...they are the primary engine that moves the complex story of MGS4 forward. It is a good game, no doubt. Plus, if you are ignorant for the story (please, don't be!), you can skip those cutscenes. But I guess that no one who played MGS4 recommend that. Neither do I.

For the higher intelligent, The story is very compelling. That war is completely under control. The system. No need for a reason, or cause, just impulse. A mans desire to take it over and have the world at his fingertips. The character development makes every character amazing. I dont know why you have such a vandetta. Not in the slightest. MGS4 has more depth in gameplay, story, the graphics are miles ahead of Halo 3, and it has a lot more lasting value. Even though Halo has a dominant Online, Metal gears, for being Kojima's first attempt comes pretty close. Halo 3 is the same as Halo one except they put in a new ring and a giant talking plant. thats it. However MGS4 brought so many changes and new ideas to the table that it destroys the set standard. Metal gear solid has miles on Halo in every way. Good day.

don't have live anymore, i don't need to prove anything. almost evryone has played halo 3. MGO was decent. ( i just hate how no one use teamwork same with halo 3. ) guess MGS'S stroy was to complicated for you, huh?

Another closing comment. Your practically the only one on board for Halo 3 that means there is a hole in your logic. Odds are stacked against you, and you only have ignorance and "Epic Failure" as your weapon.
