@Nitzve Personally, I think this looks amazing. Check it out in 1080p HD and you'll see what I'm saying, it's so vibrant and gorgeous, like a moving painting.
IM glad they got Hwa jai, K, maxima, and mai shiranui, and takuma back, but they need Yamazaki the crazed business suit guy wielding a switch blade, Geese howard, Rugal, krauser, the puncher girl, and ninja eiji as DLC in future. Mr karate is just takuma with mask and fire iori not that great just has flames, need the top guys to make it complete.
alright i love KOF but am i the only one who thinks that takumu and yuri look weird? i mean takuma looks like his neck is broken and maybe its a headband yuris missin but i dont think they diead her face any justice. maybe they were focused on keeping mai jiggling and well in that case. thats just fine with me
@HavockBlade Yuri has a headband in her default. Takuma is old and fat now (makes sense) and Yuri is done in a little different art style (to make her match up with Athena's new style)

@Photosnclips It's actually really easy. Unlike SF, you hardly need that good a timing because you can cancel normal moves into command moves then into specials.
The reason they are able to do so much damage is because they didn't use any of their specials for 80% of the match, it added up to 5 bars of special which is the maximum, which adds up all the damage together allowing them to rape in one combo.
It's not the best tactic, its for players who believe they can win without their specials, and will save it for when they are losing.
@devilmaycrykid15 Long story short, this is pretty much what XII should have been from the beginning. You get a lot more characters, a lot more stages, a lot more content and even a story mode (first time a KOF game ever has one). It still plays somewhat like XII, only slightly faster and with more moves. There's also an incredibly newb-friendly tutorial.

@Photosnclips kof games usually has a more strict timming system when it comes to long combos in comparison to sf and sf4. But simple combos are kinda easy to pull off like in sf.

When Capcom vs. SNK was released it was a success but most of the profits went to Capcom as it developed the game. SNK released SNK vs. Capcom: Match of the Millennium and SNK vs. Capcom: Card Fighters Clash on the Neo Geo Pocket Color. Combined, both sold horribly SNK closed all American operations in the summer of 2000. SNK collapsed on October 22, 2001 when it filed for bankruptcy

@KR7123 Fight, go, what's the difference? KOF has had "Go!" in it for quite some time now. It's a team-based fighter too.... and really, what if all recent fighting games had the announcer saying "Round 1, FIGHT!", like in early 90's with SF2:The World Warrior? Would that be original?
Imagine the Guilty Gear or BlazBlue announcer saying "ROUND ONE, FIGHT!".... It's fucking dull.

@freakyfro99 That's KOF for you...The game is designed so that this kind of gigantic combo can only be done at your last character, however. You begin each match with a maximum of three power stocks and gain one each time one of your characters goes down, ending at five for your last character. That combo takes no less than five full stocks plus a full Drive Gauge, not to mention a hefty amount of dexterity.
@freakyfro99 i cant decide if i think this game is unbalanced or not because on the one hand you can do near 100% combos but on the other hand to do that you need like 5 sticks of butter and a side of gravy.

KOF proceeded to copy the bonus stage, Ryo is a copy of Ryu one of the guys has a shoryuken, Hadoken, and a spin kick? Is that not a trademark of Street fighter!? That one bitch throws sonic booms and has a flash kick? Guile? That other girl jumps off the wall and either hits or grabs you? Vega. I seen one of the girls do shin shoryuken and demon

@coolbman2 Applying that same logic, pretty much any game that has two characters that are fighting each other is "ripping off Street Fighter II". They "look the same"? Because they're 2D? Applying your own logic, Street Fighter II is ripping off Street Fighter I, which in turn is ripping off Karateka, Yie Ar Kung Fu, Urban Champions, Karate Champ, Street Smart (an SNK game, no less), and dozens of other pre SFII fighting games. Is Capcom's Vs. series ripping off KoF because there's teams?

Street Fighter II had so much more than those games Street Fighter is Chess those games didnt have depth. Street Fighter II alone was in the 6.3 Millions. SF gets Honorable mentions and references everywhere it is played as the main event at Evo and there are so many empty/Dusty KoF machines everywhere except for some parts of Asia and Mexico.

I might have forgotten some but don't tell me I only play 1 game you retard

KoF copies way way way harder and I gave you examples like vega being copied and guile being copied and the bonus stage with the car and the Hadouken (Kouken? I mean c'mon) she even did a raging demon she also did a denjin hadouken just like Ryu does she can charge it just like ryu and she also did the shin shoryuken. It's not a copy though its totally different right? KOF=FLOP SF=WIN When Capcom made CVS it sold when SNk does FLOP

When Capcom vs. SNK was released it was a success but most of the profits went to Capcom as it developed the game. SNK released SNK vs. Capcom: Match of the Millennium and SNK vs. Capcom: Card Fighters Clash on the Neo Geo Pocket Color. Combined, both sold horribly SNK closed all American operations in the summer of 2000. SNK collapsed on October 22, 2001 when it filed for bankruptcy

I could just as easily counter with "examples" like Viper being a full-on ripoff of several KoF characters, from her design to her moveset, but I honestly don't give a shit because Street Fighter IV is a fun game and competition breeds better products. I couldn't care less about who makes more money because that's not an indication of quality. FarmVille makes more money than both these series combined - is it the best game ever? Stop white knighting Capcom and enjoy yourself.

Also, what rock are you living under that you haven't heard of King of Fighters, which is now on it's THIRTEENTH iteration (not counting spinoffs)? A series that is played competitively in tournaments all over the world. Have you not heard of the Capcom vs. SNK series, which was made by CAPCOM, in which Street Fighter characters fight against King of Fighters characters? But hey, you know better than Capcom, obviously.

@KR7123 Fight, go, what's the difference? KOF has had "Go!" in it for quite some time now. It's a team-based fighter too.... and really, what if all recent fighting games had the announcer saying "Round 1, FIGHT!", like in early 90's with SF2:The World Warrior? Would that be original?
Imagine the Guilty Gear or BlazBlue announcer saying "ROUND ONE, FIGHT!".... It's fucking dull.
Every Fighting-franchise needs to have it's own announcer and the way he/she says things.

@freakyfro99 That's KOF for you...The game is designed so that this kind of gigantic combo can only be done at your last character, however. You begin each match with a maximum of three power stocks and gain one each time one of your characters goes down, ending at five for your last character. That combo takes no less than five full stocks plus a full Drive Gauge, not to mention a hefty amount of dexterity.
