@XENoNAKAEVO, thanks for telling me about the JL-G25. It looks like its fantastic! Do you have one? Or know all about them? I live in the states so before I have my friend by one and ship it to me I want to know more about.
@snowthugs no i don't have one. but a friend off me, he had the jl-g25 and the vpp.
They have a spectaculear force feedback and are cheap then the frex in this class.. i think it is a good comparison to the frex. you can always but the arc e-mod them to.
The Logitech is a mass consumer product, the FREX wheel is more of a custom shop item. Totally different animals, very different price tags, no comparison should be made in my opinion.

How full of shit is this, the guy has the G25 open, no shit it's gonna be louder. I know it probably doesn't make that much of a difference, but still....bullshit.
What, I have my for a year and i play almost non stop, least 2 hours a day in PC racing SIM games.. still rock solid.. Logitech makes good quality products.. you sounds like some EVIL corporation that tells ppl what not to buy ... haha
What I don't like is the point that you opened the case of the G25. In that way it's louder than it is in reality. I have a G25 and I can say that it isn't as loud as it is in the video.
This is supposed to be a test to show how much noise the Frex wheel makes relative to the G25. Of course if you have your speakers cranked up, it's going to be louder.
You can't really compare something made for enthusiasts that is +/- $250 (G25) to something for hardcore sim racers (FREX) which is EASILY worth over $1000. Kind of an unfair comparison in all honesty, though your work is incredible and the quality of the FREX is amazing.
You missed the whole point of the video. Considering this demonstration is done by frex themselves, it's to showcase how good the wheel is relative to the G25 that everyone knows. He's attempting to show off the remarkable technology in which he's able to create a force feedback system that has none of the grinding feeling that's found in all of today's FFB wheels.
He's not trying to prove that the frex wheel is better than the G25, that's obvious.
You missed the whole point of what I said. It's a weak comparison because one is for ENTHUSIASTS @ an affordable price while the other is something for a select few that is 4x the price! To put it more clearly that is like comparing a G25 to a PS1 non FFB wheel, yes they are both "wheels" but it is not a clear comparison. I could understand they need to show something to distinguish their "progress" but I think it would be enough just to show in game usage as that is the definitive display.
Yeah you would think he would compare it to similar wheels in its class, like the ECCI or Thomas wheels.
However, those wheels do not have FFB. Prior to the frex wheel, the G25 is the highest end FFB wheel out there, so there is nothing else to compare it to.
It is a pretty remarkable comparison when you consider there is no other FFB wheel out there that doesn't have backlash and the grindy feeling.
@flexibly77 You obviously don't understand what was explained. Would everyone love a FREX? Hell yes. Would 99% of people who are enthusiasts buy one at the price? Nope. This is not a point that the G25/G27 is "better" because it is not. That what you don't get. It's not a proper comparison, no more than comparing an Evo X to a Gallardo. Both are great fun but one is out of range for 99% of the people. Thus not a proper comparison. We know the FREX is better. It's the cost that separates them.
@OnerGT OnerGT, thats true no doubt. But its nice to show ppl functionality beyond G25. If I tell normal non-racers that the G25 is not the best wheel you can have, they dont understand because every magazine tells them the G25/27 is the best you can get. So there are millions of G25 test and ratings, but nearly non for advanced wheels like Frex. Just forget the prize, it is not the question of buying this or that for the same prize. It is a comparison of technical features.
@flexibly77 ~ It's not exactly proper to compare beer to fine wine or a Gallardo to say an Evo X...even if they have similarities & do what they do respectively from good to "better"...that doesn't make it a proper comparison. It's like comparing a Wheel Stand Pro to a VisionRacer VR3 ~ it's absolutely obvious the VisionRacer is "better" and that's because it is tailored towards a different clientele that can AFFORD the astronomical price difference. It's just not equal on level terms to compare
Umm, the Frex wheel IS better, and it's also around 10x the price.
The video is about how paying 10x is worth it because its painfully obvious how much better the Frex unit is. No backlash means no play at all, low mechanical drag is no gear noise which means no inefficiency in drivetrain, and stronger and faster.
Like comparing a SR-71 Blackbird with a Sopwith Camel

Does ANY wheel on the market simulate engine vibration properly? Todays wheels still feel like driving a lame RC car.
