  • Our justice system is just a joke... yeah he was going well in excess of the speed limit but he didn't kill anyone or cause an accident. 12 months in prison is well over the top, read in the paper the other day that some 'thug' blatantly killed someone and got off pretty much scott free, waving his hands in delight as he came out the court!! Makes you think...

Loving the vids though Sven keep 'em up :)

  • This is ludicrous sven.... you're right! What the fuck is going on with this world....

  • The last speeding fine I received was 7.30 am on a sunday, straight peice of dual carriage way(recorded at 96 mph). I was told I wasn't riding dangerously though. Surely a speed limit is there to stop people driving dangerously. If you are not driving in a dangerous (to you or anyone else) manner, what on earth is the point of enforcing this law. It should only be used to support an officer when he believes you to be riding/driving in a dangerous manner. Can we not think for ourselves anymore?

  • The judge will get off light, He's one of the social elite, they look after their own. The only way we can start to beat these people is by educating ourselves. Take a look at who owns the banks and therefor control the governments who in turn manipulate the people. For those who don't know, you'll be amazed.....and you'll start to understand the economic recession. By the way I'm a working class mechanic, not a paranoid hippy.......in case you wondered.

  • He lost a year of his freedom, but how many years was his life extended? While in jail he could not continue to drive like a maniac and eventually get killed by hitting a stray animal or another motorist. Riders like him give motorcycling a bad image. Most fatalities can be avoided if you drive safely. Save the speed for the race track. Maybe this severe penalty will make other riders think about the consequences before speeding.

  • this vid sums up whats wrong with the world today from 00:53 to 02:08, its not balanced, money and power corrupts minds...

  • Some idiot that posted this video says this guy was jailed for 12 months. Most likely he just had to pay fines. I fucking hate youtubers...

  • @thisismine666 google it then come back and apologise.

  • @svengalie No.

  • @thisismine666 wow, you "fucking hate youtubers", yet your to lazy to find out when something is true or not. Take a look in the mirror and see the problem with youtubers.

  • Sorry for you uk guys, Sad that you're taken as second class citizens. Sincerely, Learning biker from Finland :)

  • Comment removed

  • erm sorry but 140 on a single carriageway, he deserved a massive punishment. Not a year in jail obviously, i think maybe a 2 year ban and a lot of community service helping with people who have had motorcycle accidents would do this guy more good.

  • The simple answer is that sometimes courts impose maximum punishments on people in an attempt to deter others from doing the same. They can't always dish out maximum punishments as there are not enough spaces in the prison system.

Yes it is unfair, but that is life. We are under an illusion that we live in a democracy where the wishes of the majority are upheld by the system. We don't. Until people collectively stand up against the government, we will be unfairly treated by a bunch of jobsworths

  • @dude157 well done

  • Beinf a motorcyclist in the UK means being a second class citizen...

  • @ArlenNess2 I feel like that every time i go somewhere more or less, it is an absolute disgrace...

  • That police biker must have been very talented. Or at least I hope so...

  • here in america a cop has to have both sirens and lights on and responding to something to be above the law so idk bout the uk but he is

  • I dont think cops should chase people going faster than the speed limit.. cause then there is 2 people going faster than the speed limit making the chances of an accident higher

  • @xXspartan116Xx Thats silly if the police didnt catch him (for all of 10 mins he was following him), he could have continued for an hour then speed home and squished someone crossing the road

  • I don't know about other states, but in the USA in Washington state, if you go 30mph over the limit it's a felony. A felony will make you basically unemployable for a decade, you could lose standing in custody hearings for your children. These punishments are ridiculously stiff. I wouldn't be surprised if that guy was able to get out early after appeal. Not sure how the UK legal system works though.

  • exactly there's no difference the copper could also have hit sb too, I'll be a peedo thanks

  • every now and then they dish out harsh sentences as examples to others 12 month is a bit heavy as no one was killed .but if my kidds wee killed by a bike going in exess of 100 mph I would be banging on about how they should dish out a few harsh sentences for doing exess of 100 mph hay hang on thats were i came in .

  • Superb video! The points made are highly relevant but as always its one rule for them and another for Joe Public. The job must be great fun especially as the petrol, tyres and everything are provided by the taxpayer. If only they were a tenth as efficient at catching burglars.

  • I agree with everything that you've said here Sven, even when other's think that biker's are just something less than human?! Yes its a raw deal & that "lord" should be stripped of his title & do some real time!!!

*Makes you wonder how some people can sleep at night??????

It would seem that the way of things now, what next...steal a loaf of bread & get sent to Australia...160yrs ago - Convict / 2010 - Back-Packer....well it makes as much sense. Cheers & bravo.

  • No matter what bikers do, you always whinge, bleat & defend them. Never mind what the judge did, this biker shouldn't be on the road. It's as simple as that. You said a little bit fast. It was 120mph FFS! The cop was doing the same speed to catch them you daft twat! What a moron you are.

  • did the guy have any previous speeding convictions?

  • The moral to this story is, just don't break the law. Then you don't have to worry about being unfairly sentenced.

  • Oh shit i was watching this video and i didnt realize it was sven until i started reading the comments. xD but yeah that ridiculous.

  • ukpolice scum

  • Well this is it isnt it. we live in a society that is fundamentally flawed by corrupt politics. i wont start ranting but i have been studing politics for two years now and im slowly becoming disenchanted with it all. a perfect example of this is the lord situation you just talked about. we are so far from all having an equal vote and judicial equality.. to put it simply..we are in no way equal..The UK's prisons are at breaking point and it needs to be changed. vote liberal

  • Not to mention the fact that just because he's a trained driver, doesn't mean the people who are driving by him know that. So to those safe drivers he's another speed crazed driver putting people in danger.

Two wrongs don't make a right.

  • @Vacron Going by your logic, a speeding biker should be left alone because chasing him might be dangerous. Yeah, great solution that. Maybe we should just leave ALL criminals alone incase someone else gets caught up in their antics. Stop defending pricks on bikes like this. If he wasn't speeding, the cop would have no reason to chase, would he?

  • good video. i get the points you made completely. makes plenty of sense to question why a creepy pedophile gets 3 months and this biker gets 4 times that amount. murderers get just a little bit more. sounds like an injustice to me

  • The police could not prove that the accused were actually speeding as though they copper was hitting speeds of 130+ he was rapidly closing on the two bikers.

Saxby was jailed for dangerous driving for supposedly overtaking over the brow of a hill in to the face of oncoming traffic. However on that road you can see what is coming from miles away and non of the brows are actually blind.

All in all a complete miscarriage of justice.

  • Sven

I know this is an old video but this came up in a conversation a few days ago. Yes the two riders were plain idiotic in my view and deserved some sort of punishment. I honestly believe that the sentence was way over the top when you compare to the shorter time sentencing and punishment methods for even more serious crimes.

Maybe some points and a hefty fine would of bean appropriate and/or some sort of temporary band. Hmmmm i dont know

    Ollie

  • In the UK the rider training course and test is exhaustive, yet a 18 yr old can drive a Subaru Impreza WRX 2.0L Turbo with a learners? cocked up!!!

  • Why is it legal to sell machinery that exceeds the national speed limit?

In my country the limit is 120kph. My ZX10R will do at least 140kph in 1st gear!, I have another 5 to play with, yay for me.

So, back to the point, how is it right that these vehicles (supercars, even granny cars) are sold when they blatantly break the law by their function? Somethings not quite right there. And yes, let the punishment suit the crime, was the riders skill level evaluated?

  • @Scorpiusza Well anything used incorrectly can be used to break the law. You could apply the same logic to guns. "omg, they kill people, why are they legal" - they're only stupid in stupid hands.

  • @Scorpiusza i ride a cbr250 not the fastest thing but would easily breach our 100kph open rd speed limit, however i leave that kind of speed for open track days where i can legally use the potential of my bike without having to worry about cars, dirt on the road etc. most people aren't rich enough to own a race bike for track use only and a normal bike for commuting so they make bikes that can be used for both and hope that the rider is sane enough to know when to use that power.

  • @Scorpiusza It's legal because the speed limit is a statute. It is only given the force of law by consent....so if the individual on the bike is not a public servant or agent for the government he no more has to obey the 'speed limit' than if MacDonalds or Tesco had put the speed sign up.

  • Your slow moting always has the same sound.

  • You have no right in law to use a motor vehicle of any description on her Majesty`s highway, unless you apply for and meet the regulations of a license issued by the licensing authority. That`s it, pure and simple. Some people are under the mis-guided notion that they have some kind of right to use the roads as they think fit. Wrong, if you`re contravening any part of the road traffic act; sooner or later you will be held accountable.

  • i got pulled over twice last week (both warnings thank god).. first one, yes i admit, i was going 16 over but it was my first time being pulled over so he let me go. second time, this bitch cop pulled me over and said i was going 70-80 mph in town and on another road!! whats funny is the road she accused me of going that fast is horribly damaged (cracks and broken concrete everywhere). why the f*** would i risk going 70-80 on a road that is damaged? fastest i went was 45 mph and it was in a 40..

  • i agree sooooo much with you...he will have to pay,but jail thats insane....if i can just think how many times i break speed limit very...but go for jail if u dont do accident.this sucks....

  • surely the police CUNTstable will of been doing a hell of a higher speed than the guys he was trying to catch up with.

  • The system really is biased against bikers.

We are made out to be a menace against society.

Living here in Lincolnshire (not far from Cadwell Park), I see this all the time. It's rather sad, really.

  • i dont think a year is justified for this sort of crime.

maybe something like 500 pounds and license suspension for one or two month would be suitable. (this is what you would get for that sort of crime in germany). but prison for going too fast ? jesus...what about pulling wheelies ? should bikers go to jail for pulling wheelies too?

if so i would be in prison all the time :)

  • im 16. When i hopefully get my bike, i want to ride with you sven. Awsome points.

  • wow thats kinda messed up, here in the usa in the state of new york(really has nothing to do with this)but a law was passed last year saying if a police officer is attempting to pull over a speeding sports bike and the biker attempts to evade the police the chase is immediatly to be stopped, we had a state trooper get in a high speed chase with a biker and the trooper ended up plowing a tree doing about 135mph

  • COPS SUCK

  • To say you think I'm "not funny at all" a "loser", "complete fool" and now "cock" you sure do watch and comment on a lot of my vids. Thanks, views and comments all add up.

  • @stuprestonexperience

it makes me piss myself laughing to see you dont have anything better to do than follow svengalie's videos and leave stupid comments... STOP WATCHING THEM AND YOULL HAVE LESS OF A PROBLEM.... tit

  • I'm a biker and enjoy riding fast on the autobahn. However, anyone who rides or drives 139mph on a regular roadway (with intersecting roads & pedestrians likely crossing) clearly intends to commit murder. In other words, any resulting collision is not an accident - it was both highly predictable and virtually inevitable. Therefore, in addition to the prison sentence, I hope they also permanently withdrew David Saxby's drivers license.

  • @stewartx5 Lol idiot, take a look at the road, nothing fucking dangerous about it, yeah, if you go to fast I understand it can get dangerous but isn't the cop doing the same + more? Yes he is. Saying David Saxby got what he deserved and deserves more is retarded. He max. deserves loss of liscence for like 6 weeks. Driving 140 MPH on the autobahn is dangerous aswell because not everybody drives as fast as that on their. So you can crash and kill somebody just as easily.

  • DavidSlagter > ".. take a look at the road .."

I did. It's a regular roadway with intersecting roads, vehicles traveling in opposite direction, vehicles potentially passing other vehicles, & the possibility of pedestrians or animals crossing. The autobahn has none of those. Police officer had a ligitimate, legal, reason for speeding - to catch David Saxby, and others like him, who endanger others by blatently violating the laws. Once that's accomplished, the officers don't have to speed.

  • @stewartx5 Yea, but you got to realise that the cop was speeding EVERYWHERE, while David Saxby might not have, in the end the cop did caught up with him for a reason. The cop might legally have the right to speed, but without sound and light warnings he is just as dangerous to the public as David Saxby is. He endangers just as many people if not more, because he was also operating his video equipment and talking which makes it even more dangerous. On the autobahn accidents happen just as easy.

  • i agree with you is being said on the vid

  • Lord Afzhal 'KHAN'

Is there a pattern building here?

Is it only Muslim Lords, and Government MP's that get away with death by reckless driving?

Another copper got away with mowing down a girl in Newcastle last year. He was in a marked car, but was driving at twice the legal speed limit, WITHOUT flashing lights or sirens???

    Consequently, the girl died instantly.

One law for us springs to mind.

    It f**king stinks

  • I seem to remember an Ambulance Driver being prosecuted for speeding, even though he was ferrying a patient to hospital, just because he wasn't using his blues and two's. Yet the ambulance driver was in a marked vehicle, wearing a uniform, and carrying a patient???

The copper in this vid was on an unmarked bike, with no sirens or flashing lights, and presu, ably not wearing a uniform.

YES, the copper should be prosecuted too. He could of been using this as an excuse for a blast.

  • time will come when we buy a bike there will be a year, or just to make it fun, two years of jail time...let's face it. you'll brake the speed limit sooner or later, so consider this as a preview of things to come :)

  • Wow! We seem to have the exact same opinion. I had the very same conversation with my brother the other day, because of are similarity in brains (at least on this occasion) 5* & subbing.

  • you make a good point there, our justice system is messed up!

  • police are really board when you get pulled over Here in Newhampshire USA

on a routine stop you usually end up with 3 or 4 police cars like its a big deal mainly I think its them showing everybody hey we are really working not eating dounghnuts

  • All about what the state can make off the crime... easy to make money off speeders. Cut and dry evidence sorta thing. It's all about the money.

So infuriatingly frustrating. Love your vids dude.

  • Sorry ran out of space...

I also feel that valuable court time and Police resources are wasted on selfish drivers and riders like this. If people had a little more consideration there'd be less scum out there and the Police might actually be able to do their job effectively.

  • My take on this is that without fixed penalties and better guidlines for magistrates/judges this will continue.

Didnt a motorcyclist last year get a year because he had his kid on the back when he broke the limit?

Just ban them, if its really dangerous ban for life. If they kill or ride/drive without a license then prison, definately!

  • Have a sports figure here in the U.S. that drove drunk, hit and killed someone, got 30 days. Another sports figure was involved in dog fighting, got 2 years.

  • How many months are in your years?

  • Well Eleven months not including December!

  • and why wouldnt it include december ????

  • Because Santa is not really, DUH. And in order of Jesus to have been born, that would mean i would have to acknowledge that he was real.

And when it comes to religion, I don't believe in Christians! Cause that would mean i believe in Fiction.

Like talking snakes and broken ribs!

  • Are you going by the ancient greek calendar or something RBsTHEGRAIN? LMAO!!

  • @RBs2THEGRAIN u need to go back to school mate if you dont know how many months are in a year lol

  • @RBs2THEGRAIN 12 months is a year you pleb, did you go to school?

  • @RBs2THEGRAIN

Officially the dumbest comment I have ever read LOL

  • @RBs2THEGRAIN wtf???

  • You're right, it's just ridiculous, and it doesn't only occur in England. Real criminals often get a smaller sentence in comparison to the 'normal' guy in the street. I think the government is afraid of the real criminals. They wouldn't dare to bully them a lot, would they?

A punishment for this guy? Yes, maybe in the form of an eductional series of lessons, but a jail sentence? Get real.

  • I agree Sven. I have gone over 120mph. A year in jail would be a bit too much for that. Perhaps the judge was trying to send a message. I think it was an overkill.

  • yeah, thats not really justified.. at all. biker should have gotten a slap on the wrist, not a damn year.

  • No way. That is ridiculous. There is no logic to a law that allows murderers and pedophiles to serve less time than a speeder. Granted the guy should be punished as you said but nothing near actual jail time let alone 12 months. Maybe a fine and suspended license.

  • So doing 139mph on a motorbike is a 12 month sentence, ask my mates mam who is police officer, what happens if a car was doing 139mph?, she said "nothing really just an instant ban and a fixed pelenty it wouldn't go to court unless thier was a crash or a serious incadent. At the worst comunity service."

wow, if your doing 139mph on a bike or in a car, you hit somebody they are dead!

  • Did you notice that the ones with foreign names and most probably muslims get let off easy...one rule for them, another for us!

  • lol, i think the cop was in short sleeves............

  • i love the way you put this video together sven but why didnt you get run over you were floating in the road :) jus kiddin

    keep it up

  • It seems to me this guy was being made an example of by the courts. I wouldn't be surprised if the judge was one of your dime-a-dozen bike-hating assholes. They think everybody who rides a motorcycle is an evil adrenaline junkie outlaw and a danger to society.

  • was the cop wearing a short sleeve shirt???!!!

  • I don't think the cop showed himself, only the two riders he chased....

  • the police biker suposibly rode faster than the 2 bikers too. ud imagine as he caught upto them. he seemed good like

  • + you don't see the beginning where this copper may or may not have provoked the speed by maybe reving the engine at the last traffic lights or such, It has been known for undercover cops to act in this way, I have heard that an undercover imprezza in my county, likes to provoke unsuspecting bikers with a challenge, only to snare them, (Don't know how true this is tho!)

  • oh im certain it is true, i was driving between two cities on my way to work when an unmarked (regular oregon plates) jacked up truck starts tailgating me. i speed up, i slow down, change lanes, .. the car is still 5 feet behind me. ... so i wait for a merge only i can make and then kick it up to 85 mph. as i come into the next city i see a cop waiting on the edge of the road... lights flashing, and i knew it was for me. guy gets out of truck, shakes police officers hand. he was the dangerous 1

  • Shame you did not have a rear secret camera filming them, I like to hear when unfair or unjust cops get caught out on camera, you know like the thug cops that like bashing innocent bystanders at crowd clashes and sports events etc....

  • i know.... ~

the thing that was most harsh was how the cop and "undercover" (more like off duty) cop in the truck hand like a bro hug and a hand shake befor the other cop came over and just handed me a ticket.

the cop in the truck was in 100% civilian clothing with his wife in the cab as well. i really thought i just had a cowboy tailgaiting me :(

doesnt sven make great points! ?

  • A mate of mate, got cut up by an idiot car driver, so he gave the car driver a few hand signals to show how unimpressed he was with the dangerous way he had been cut up, then the car pulled over, my mate did too, and leant in his open window and gave him a smack.........it was an off duty copper, I cant rem what the out come was but he had to go to court because of it and no doubt came out a lot worse off !!!!

  • Fuck Oregon Cops.. so over driving here..bunch of cunts.. with nothing to do.. people here drive slow as shit too..

  • NO DOUBT!

the woman here are also 10x as clueless as anywhere else on the planet :p

  • That is ridiculous! IMO i think that the LAW just hates bikers cause we can park anywhere for FREE, dont have to sit in traffic, cheap Road Tax etc.. so as soon as we break the LAW they come down hard with stuff like this.

Its sickening. 1 YEAR FOR THAT???

Speeding in a car is more dangerous as your in a 1+ tonne lump of metal which can kill alot of people, on a bike you got more chance killing yourself than anything else.

  • YEAH HULL!!!!! COM'ON HULL FC!!!!

FACT: Hull and the East Riding have the best riding roads in the UK

This was on my local news. loads of ppl e-mailed in to complain that the sentence was too long. Like u say its on a straight road with no traffic. Plus arnt the police ment to wear high vis clothes at the side of the road even if they are under cover

  • good point there, cant argue with that one

  • This is why pigs get shot.

  • Loved this new angle............ when you gonna start doing a weekly series? "Svens News" ?

  • Sometimes the law works in weird ways...

Totally agree with your view on it Sven..

In Sweden.. if you commit an economical crime.. you can get 10 years.. if you murdersome one you get 8 (ok sometimes more).. weird..

    5*

  • I posted this plus a couple of others, not as clever as yours though ;-)

Apco guidelines say do not chase bikes if they the perp dies police are held somewhat responsible.

1 year ban and 500 fine seems right.

  • Well it wasn't a chase was it. It was surveillance. That doesn't make it right, or less dangerous of course.

  • good video. i totally agree with you sven.

    5*

  • its not in built up area or motor way its country waste land as a biker who works hard and pays threw there teeth to maintain equipment have full rights to take risks if they wish, notice how the police have no problem putting there lives at risk speeding 100+ just to tell a biker not to do what they have just done! hypocrites lol but i think a 50 pound fine is all thats necessary cos he cant pay tax behind bars and we cant afford to pay his free meals either

  • the judge that sentenced him should be sacked or sent to prison for wasting tax payers money , if he had no job and wasnt taxed & insured then its understandable but if he was legit then it just shows how incompetent the legal system is

  • yeah it's f'ed up, a year is not right for a speeding punishment. a fine and license suspension would be more reasonable.

  • totaly wrong

  • Well presented argument with some valid points, sentencing relative to the crime(s) committed, under UK law, sometimes leaves you totally bewildered...

  • go and become part of the freeman movement and you dont have to have your bike regestered,no roadtax and no fines. we are all free men of britain and not "persons" we travel on bikes and dont "journey in a vehicle" .

if you know the law and the police officer doesnt you can also get him sacked and bring charges upon him.we use comman law to beat any charges from the corupt gov. by the way all statues are not law! they are just given the force of law by consent of the willing. LOOK IT UP

  • this country is a fucking joke atm with fat bastard brown fucking it up even more, i can see that yes traveling at well over the speed limit is agaist the law, BUT if the police that pull you over was such assholes you might stop for them once in a while and not take off running.

  • The "justice" in this country is a joke. Sentances are not fit for the crime in the slightest! Yet another reason why the UK is a stupid country on a downhill slope!

  • Sven, I really like this video and your thoughts on the said situations as well as the acts following them. Very well thought out and well said. 5*

  • wow uk must be overrun by pedobears with thoses laws

  • hi, this is sven, i could be doing the weather, but i thought i would do this instead XD

  • In the Us even if you are speeding all they do is give you a ticket. I know people who have do 95 in a 35 and only got a ticket. after court they still had there licenses.

  • Seriously I am glad live in the USA, At most it would be night and jail and a huge fine with possible licence suspension for a month or 2.

No need to jail the guy for 12months just take away his licence for 12months if you want to be harsh.

  • I think we all now that a year is ridiculous, senseless all the way.

    A forfeit would've been adequate.

  • what annoys me in all these things is when the cop always breaks the speed limit as well, and then they just say , oh well we can in an emergency , but cops dont save peoples lives, its fire and ambulance they are the real saviours.

they dont seem to say how fast the motorbike went, they just say about 100mph which in my book isnt that fast, were im from people would exceed 100mph going between towns(8 miles apart) on an A road .

i would put the cop in prison, he did over double the limit!

  • You can guarantee that if they had been doing this in a car they would have gotten less. Its absolutely disgusting, in the pub the other day some prat was bragging about having got off with merely a a couplke of month ban for dring at over 80 in a 30, surely that is far more dangerous. Theres something very wrong with this country

  • AGREED, The uk has been destroyed by stupid immature MP's and political correctness too. The uk needs help...

  • i agree speed is a defining factor in road deaths BUT as he explained, a Lord who was texting, speeding AND killed someone got 12 weeks, somebody DIED as a result of his actions, these motorcyclists did not injure or kill anyway, it's not bashing the fact they got into trouble but 12 months is excessive by any means compared to KILLING someone

  • You look good in tight shirts, black is slimming, you sexy minx, Sven.

  • My wife just walked in (she's been away for a few days) and asked "who was that woman who said you looked sexy in your black shirt?"

    I LOL'd so hard.

  • No justice at all. How is that speed 4 times worse than killing someone whilst texting?

Speeding seems to be the only crime where the punishment isn't capped by common sense. If he'd reached 180 he'd have probably got 2 years.

Good point Sven and well made.

  • Point well made sven, i agree totally. Nice editing skills too :D.

  • I'm guessing the screen in the back ground is white since your paper effectively makes you invisable.

Yeah, there is no justice... I hardly think that riding fast on a bike is anywhere near as bad is dangerous driving in a one tonn car

  • Tis a sad day indeed.. why would he stop for an unmarked police bike? did it have pursuit lights on it?

  • Just read the story, he did it on a Wednesday evening at 5.25pm, that's pretty stupid. Be less bad if it was 4.30am on a Sunday I think. Poor guy getting prison for it though.

  • Up here in yorkshire police have an unmarked fireblade and busa, if I'm ever getting followed while going quick I slow down and let them pass. Cop probably was happy to finally be able to cane it one "legally"

  • I thought the US was the only place that went overboard trying to enforce speed limits but apparently not.

Totally agree with you on this. Punishment yes but a year is outragous.

  • Well said.

  • Very good point!! The person who killed someone while texting should of gotten at least 10 years in jail.. otherwise they will never learn anything.. 1 year is too much for speeding! I would say a ticket and an 1 year license suspension is way enough but 1 year jail? you gotta be kidding! ... my 2 cents

  • Where is justice now?

  • very nice point you hit there. Good Video.

  • Yeah they were speeding but a year was a little to much, something is definitely amiss here.

It's pretty bad when celebrities and people in the goverment get away with a slap on the wrist. While joe blow gets raked over the coals.

  • Not sure how that works? The world is going down the Toilet I suppose?

  • The law is for everybody but the cops.Thay also make it up as thay go to suit there own needs.

  • that is SO true

  • yea its crazy how the law works. you can have guns, ski masks, and duffle bags in your trunk and cant be charged with intent to rob a bank. but if you got some marijuana in the trunk they automatically assume your intent is to sell, and they can charge you for it? some laws just dont make sense.

  • yeh, ur absolutly right sven, the justice system is stupid!!

but the people on (what they consider) the right side of the law dont care. its not like its gonna affect them. as long as they look good after arresting whoever committed the crime.

  • Attrocious!! Justice is not only blind, it is stupid too.

  • Wow, that is fucked up.

  • Agree with ya sven

  • Thats the name of the game Sven. Its not about fairness, if thats what you're looking for, don't look to the law.

  • and then you had a officer brining the book down on the guy whilst reviewing the tape during being interviewed and stating nobody should break the speed limit... oh hang on a minute havent there been at least 50 officers this year alone 3 being high officiers ie police chiefs that were arrested and charged for speeding, one doing 80 througha 30 whilst no case of emergency reports no flashign blue lights... how can we take what they say seriously when they cant even do by the law.

  • Everyone knows the criminal justice system here is more corrupt than the world's banks. A lord gets 12 weeks for killing someone, that just loses me for words. On that basis, he could have killed four people and served the same sentence as captain speedypants here. Disgusting.

  • Revolt, Revolt, throw down your rakes and grab your firearms. Ohhhhh wait............

  • Doh!

  • the law is totally cockied, sadly it does seem like the law is above the law at times. its sad to see becuase even a video shown tonight on the news shows n experinced biker , which is obvious from how he was controllign their bike was darting in and out of traffic only got around 120mph i think, yes he did 2 stupid moves but was jailed, yet like you have said even this copper didnt have his lights goign and was doign the same moves as the guy they were following. yet the cops get away with it.

  • The UK court system sucks balls 9 times out of 10.

  • Hi Sven, totally agree, but I wish there could be some consistancy with punishment, a clip from Traffic Cops shown on BBC 1 last year (tried to link to it, but youtube won't let me link to one of it's own vids!!, search for "UK Motorbike Traffic Cops" to see it) same stretch of road from Wetwang, rider is clocked 110ish by unmarked police bike. I would argue that this biker is riding far more dangerously than David Saxby, but he only recieved 6 points and £750 fine. How's That Work

    OllyC

  • they shouldnt be giving jailtime to normal people doing their hobby a bit too excessively

a large fine ok,and in this more serious case maybe community service for 12 months but he didnt kill anyone right so why the sentence

  • No, it doesn't fit the crime, and it seems universal that the justice system favors the wealthy. OJ here got away with murder... its ridiculous.

Also, while a serious issue, this video would have been better if you were dressed as Robin Hood while fighting the injustices of the sheriff's men. Just a thought.

  • A year for a ton 30... stuff that... I would be in jail for life by now if that was standard... 12 months... brief speeding...

Sure fine them give them points but a damned year...

Now I laugh... a year for 130mph... max speed you can really get away with is 80 and thats motorway... why arent cars and bikes limited to 70 - 80 unless your on a track like in japan.

In the states when they film their gear actually records when they break laws to... say they cant break the law during an arrest.

  • He wasn't jailed for speeding, which is why his friend was let off, the co-barrister proved that speeding wasn't dangerous on that road. They won that part of the case.

He was jailed for dangerous driving because of a near miss with an oncoming car when overtaking his friend.

I heard he was extremely arrogant as well, just laughed when the copper said what if you'd hit that car!

    *shrugs*

  • Thank u for the additional details Dan. I knew there had to be more to this story than simply speeding. But still, 1 year in jail & away from his family is pretty harsh :-o :-(

    *shakes head*

  • i wouldn't worry, due to the appeal system he'll be out of prison in less than two weeks once bail is agreed, it'll be a year until it goes back to court and he will still be found guilty but the sentance will be suspended with his time spent in jail and on bail taken into consideration.....
