I thought I recognized your face... I have a Fotki and followed your loc progress on your Fotki. Your locs look gorgeous! Lots of growth. God Bless!!!!
Thank you so much for responding! I will now leave my hair alone and just get it redone every 3 weeks. Continue to enjoy your journey and have a terrific day! :)
your locs are beautiful! Did you keep twisting them during the budding stage? I'm in my budding stage and I feel like if Idon't keep twisting the fat ones my locs are'nt going to look thin & neat in the long run. Please help by responding. Thank you in advance!!! :)
@cristoamor73 I appreciate it :) I don't twist or palm roll. I interlock the roots and leave the length alone. My locs did start off fatter. That is natural. As your hair starts to condense they will become thinner. If you twist too much or too tight you will weaken your stands and when they get longer they won't be able to handle the weight. Then you will leave a lock on aisle 9 at the market! lol. Really though, just be careful.
Hi, gorgeous locs! I have questions. Since you said that you are not covering your locs much at night, do you have a lint problem? If you do, how do you take care of it? Are your locs thinner because of latching, or because of small parts?
@originalathena Hi and thank you for the compliment! I don't have a lint problem only because I am careful of the pillowcases I sleep on (no flannel, no 100% cotton). My locs are thinner definitely due to latching. I know because the tips are fatter than the roots...tips were started with twists.
I am also interlocking, (at FIVE months Now...)! I guess the scare for me is, the fear that they may not lock.... I see that your hair locked, can you share a time frame of them maturing, and any encouragement....
@MrDessaline2 Thank you :) If I can remember, they started looking like true dreadlocks around the 7-8 month mark. They got really frizzy all of a sudden and then they locked. They do it all by themselves without our interference. Whatever you do DO NOT CUT OR TRIM YOUR FRIZZ! You need that stuff to lock up.
@jsix4evr Thank you. You are exactly right. I completed my third year April 19, 2011. I am right smack in the middle of my fourth year. I chose to count the time ahead instead of time past for various reasons. Sorry for the confusion :)
man simplicity is the key, your hair is it!!! umm and I so didn't put you on blast, lol- glad you did the video. you had me dyin when you started talking about damien
I tried to thumbs up but its disabled :( Your locs look fantastic and the colour is shining. Seems we started around the same time give or take some months. Locs in the bum crack not a good look or thought, uuurrrl, lol.

I love this video. So real and sooooo funny! Your locs look great and it's comforting to know you don't have to do much to have them look good.
