i'll probably get a lot of thumbs down, but i miss the good ol monkey ball from gamecube. Those games actually looked really good, and I'm sure they played really well as well. The newest monkey ball I tried was touch and roll, and just ugh...i hated the control

ehh............not exactly my "favorite" 3DS game. But i have to get this one because i'm ordering a 3DS which comes with this game. i'd prefer samurai warrior chronicles............but hey beggars cant be choosers. =3 I'm just happy to get the game at all.

Oh god. Not another Step and Roll. The main problem with Step and Roll was that it was too easy, and there were barely any shortcuts - this game looks exactly the same. What happened to the fun in completing those awesome shortcuts in the original games? Where did the difficulty go? I'm a hardcore SMB player, this does NOT look like a good game to speedrun the levels in.

@DinerSals I'm a hardcore competitor, and I want a good game to compete in. SMB1/SMB2 were GREAT games for that, and up until Step and Roll all the games were decent. I CAN'T enjoy the game if there isn't a challenge, if a game is too easy, it's simple and not fun. Sega's just downgraded the difficulty in their recent games.

Think I will stick with SMB 2 on the iPad, which is most likely a tenth of the price this game will be and probably plays as good if not better than this. Also the graphics on the iPad version own this. They are gonna have to do better than this I'm afraid.

@pipster06 Yeah but the iPad is not a great gaming platform whereas the Nintendo 3DS is all about gaming. Also the iPad version if basically this same exact thing but with less responsive controls and less content.

But you're forgetting about the biggest thing here, '3D' Not only that but the 3DS's controls will most likely blow the iPad's out of the water. Anyways I'm looking forward to this one! I had a blast with Banana Blitz on the Wii and I can't wait to see the 3DS's '3D' bring this game to life! ;)

Anyways, I've gotta admit the graphics on the other hand look dissapointing, definitly not up to par with Banana Blitz that's for sure. It's looking almost like an N64/Dreamcast hybrid.

I'm sure it looks better on a smaller screen, but I dunno, I kinda like the early stage color schemes. The futuristic levels almost look Tronish, but I guess they're a little stale. Music sounded pretty good though!
