How do I find out if I can use my DSiXL is the right version? Im having lots of issues with this r4i 3DS card. I get a white screen with a menu? in red and the shape of a micro sdcard on the upper screen when I put it in the 3DS. And I tried to use the whitescreenfix nds and it kept saying sorry, this card is not supported please power off now. then at the bottom it says ***unkown chip!!!** (yes thats how unknown is spelled on the screen.) help!!

I bought two of these a few months back the first worked fine no problems then after about 1 and a half it just stoped showing up on the dsi menu so i said oh well I have another one same thing tho worked for a while and just stopped showing up on the menu it says theres no cartridge in slot is there a fix for this or am I fucked?

@MrApfelbaum123 The R4i v1.4 is not flash updatable and you will have to replace it. Keep your DSi at the current compatibility of the card.

i'm about to buy this, but i have some questions...

1) Can you download and play gba games with this card?

2) Is there homebrew on it right from the box?

3) Do we have to manually have to download the Firmware?

@ImSiggy Well when i went to lanzarote in 2009, i thought id buy a NDSi when they first came out over a PSP, (god wish i didnt) i brought it along with a r4i card, obviously new to DS's (as it was my first and only ds) i thought id try the internet, this made the dsi update and since then the r4i has never worked on my dsi (this was in later 2009- early 2010, dno if you can fix it, i never tried to download gba games for it when it worked but i think you can, it just runs on 1 screen not both.

@SumPure Your R4i may be discontinued, check the manufacturer's website for your partciular model. It may be one we don't carry.

@ImSiggy Only the Supercard DSTWO will play GBA games natively. There are GBA emulators for the rest of the DS cards, but they do not work well.

Ok,im getting this card.and i have a Dsi and Dsi xl running 1.4.3 U..and there saying u have to update the card on a lower firmware dsi or use ds lite..IS there -ANY- way i can update the card -without- lower firmware or ds lite.like mabey on a computr..I have NO idea if the card is ready to use 1.4.3,,,,so i think im screwed because theres no way i can update it besides the firmware/dslite deal.

Can I use this card freely between a 3DS and a DSi, or would the r4i's firmware need to be changed each time?

Also, is there a difference between this and the regular r4i-SDHC and the Gold? Is it a noteworthy difference?

This is just wishful thinking on my part. But could you possibly try to do this via an emulator if you don't have another ds/dsi that hasn't been updated? If so I'd love to see someone make a how-to-video. Again just wishful thinking...

I did everything but after verifying gets to 100% it gives me an error saying I need to format the SD card or use another one, I already tried with 3 different Micro SD cards and I re formatted them to FAT32 and FAT16 and nothing works, help!

I need a bit of help, I bought this same one but i'm using the Original silver DS. When i put games on it i can play them but i save and when i shut it off and go back to the games list they will NOT show up. Yes i DID update to the latest, Anyone help?

Thank You!! I just bought a DSi with the 1.4.3 update already on it so when I tried to play my R4i 3DS card and the error message will come up! I thought it was broke! Damn I got to find another DSi with old firmware!!
