Maj7, Dom7, Min7 Arpeggios

Hey Remy,

very very cool video! thank you very much for uploading it, the arpeggios from ~ 6min on were new to me and you showed me how to do them in some way :)

if you want to hear some very cool legato style min7, maj7 and other types of arpeggios i really recommend you to check out christian muenzner (obscura), for example the solo in anticosmic overload solo or orbital elements or his solo record.. you'll come across lots of some cool legato stuff and so on ;)

Yeah, I was thinking of the same thing. Paul seems to be picking the same fashion as Remy, although I guess in one of his picking videos I heard him say that he picked softly. Remy knows better, cause he has had lessons with him, and has seen him play, in person.

@chuckyinges It Depends! I understand the question though! Let's just call it dynamics!:-) Mostly either the first, fourth and last note are picked hardest I guess....

@remyhansen Thanks for taking the time to reply, Remy!! One more question though:) If you are in 4/4 meter, do you accent on every beat by picking harder? Or it depends on the patterns you are playing? Also, I watched that video where you played your Fireman unplugged outdoor and your dynamic could be clearly heard. So, do you practice alternate picking with accent until it becomes naturally to hit harder on certain notes or do you have a rule for that? =)

Remy,I think in most of your videos,you seemingly use the red Fireman most.Hand on heart,which of the 2 you have,do you like the most?I know the yellow is more expensive,and that the red have a little more thin neck?

In these times, the music industry doesn't care about how great you can play or what your knowledge is: The music industry just wants to make sure that they can make money off of you. Take Justin Bieber for example.

Remy, do you have any tips to get such a nice tone? I keep trying but I always fail haha! Could you PLEASE share your basic EQ settings (drive/mid/treble/bass)? Anyways nice video, gonna try these out :-)

@drook666 It is very hard to get a tone that is so smooth/clean but distorted at the same time. You and Paul Gilbert and classic EVH are the only ones ive seen who nail this tone.
