To be honest, some parts of the tune reminds me of some parts of the melody from "Chocolate Rain", like from 1:26 - 1:29

Played this through atleast a dozen times and it kept getting better all the time. Didnt rule as hard as this guy. I actualy had trouble keeping the robot alive. Killing Zoff also included more chasing. I also went straight for the insectoid queen just after parking all the non-insectoid guys in 2 rooms below the start room.

Is it possible to win without killing Zoff? I've managed to capture him alive, but never figured out how to get his keycard without killing him.

I used to spend way too much time on this a couple of decades ago, to the point of memorising the movements of Zoff and the Queen Insectoid and play most of the game just with the arrow commands.

I tried it on an emulator a couple of months ago and sucked at it though ;) I still love the music.

Then go to around 4:00 and you will see the Queen being killed. Then after that Samus will go left and she will awake a baby metroid who thinks she is her mother. Listen to the noises it makes. I swear to god it's the same.

I think the Gameboys sound chip was similar to the sid chip so this is probably why.

I got general Zoff man I did it! This game was so ahead of it's time. Basic graphics but still different characters and a good plot.

The tune is crazy, I've downloaded five different remixes and put on my mp3:player now.
