  • Can somebody please tell me again why long hair went of fashion with guys? Hell, Patrick Stewart would look better with longer hair. That's it, I'm growing mine back out at 47, and I don't care if most of it turns our gray!

  • loved watching Partridge family and David. this song is great. I wish we could go back to the good old days.

  • This brings back so many memories - good memories. David was beautiful and I remember lining the walls of my room with his posters. Thanks to everyone involved in this show... :-)

  • I <3 David!

  • thanks for this song. a lot of people thought they were bubble gum Loved This Song

  • long b 4 jenny 8675309

  • I grew up watching the Partridge Family. This is a fantastic song. Brings back memories. Too much crap on TV these days. The Partridge Family was pure entertainment where you could sit back and laugh and listen to beautiful songs to boot. Long live the Partridge Family.

  • I was super young when the show came out, but I grew up with David & the PF in my earliest memories. It's so great to bring all that back. Now that I'm old enough, falling in love with him all over again! Wow...he was just beyond pretty, ...& funny as well.

  • Believe it or not, this is my favorite song of all time. The lyrics, drama, sadness of innocence that can never be regained. What a masterpiece. Saw David @the Greek about 2001 & when the band started playing this, I thought, "No way!" I could've died right there & been happy. He sounded great. Also got to work with David on my radio show in 2006. Told him it was my favorite song of all time & Sound Magazine--which it came from--my fave LP. He said him too!

  • i an only 13 but iwas watching the episode this clip is from and it was my first time watching it i was fliping through the channels and my g- ma was like oh the patrige or how ever u spell and she wanted to watch it so we did and i love this song now lol peace out plus he is cute in this vidio but not now

  • i had this on 8 track lol rainmaker was on there to . wow jr. high all the girls had major crush on david . great memeries thx

  • When I saw David in concert, he grabbed someone's phone out of the audience to use during the "Hello operator?" dialogue, but it was an iPhone, and he couldn't figure out how to turn it on and was frustrated with it, LOL! XD

  • My mother used to sing this all over the place when i was little! It is rather pretty and David does a great vocal here..really cute!

  • I pity the poor people who had that phone number, or any one of it's derivatives back then.

Great tune with some wonderful musicians.

  • Best PF song EVER. Written by Rupert Holmes of "Escape (The Pina Colada Song)" fame.

  • god i wish i could have lived in that time. im a 12 year old :( but if it were the 1970's id be so happy. :) i love him and their music. i heard that in the 1st season that they edited his voice because it was to low but they let him sing normal in the other seasons. i need to burn a cd or get a record!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @13jojodie me too

  • They just don't write telephone numbers like that anymore, and even don't make much family friendly pop anymore, worst of all.

  • i own one of the CD's of them, i've listened to it too many times, ok, not too many, not enough. I need to pull it out and listen again tomorrow.. :)

  • My record had a very big, permanent skip on this song. This was due to the fact that I continually kept setting the needle back to the part when he spoke these words: "Hello operator, get me Echo Valley 26809."

Anyone else do that? It was as if I had David live and in person at my house....

  • These songs gets better every time I hear them. I owned two cds of The Partridge Family which I enjoyed. What a nice song on a day like today. I am stuck in the house and enjoyed the music so much more.

  • The woman in the booth is the great character actress Kay Medford (1920-1980). I remember this episode. Kay had just come off of an Oscar nomination as Barbra Streisand's mother in FUNNY GIRL, a part she played in the original Broadway cast.
