  • to those too numerous to mention,,,,,, this is about music, it doesnt need to be a large political viewpoint. for gods sake,, loosen your shorts!

  • How to go viral with your video overnight this is 100% guaranteed to deliver 1500 views per night while you sleep Y2BVIEWS com, or checkout my how to vid: /watch?v=uqwhomCAO6o

  • When one speaks truth to power, one might expect repercussions. But, I've noticed that "They" don't care about what we're strung out on, so much as who is making money from it. The War on Drugs is incredibly lucrative for Sheriff's Departments all across the USA, due to the Forfeiture Laws , which allow the Depts. to seize any assest connected with the drugs themselves, and KEEP THEM, WITHOUT A TRIAL, and in some cases, without charges being filed. Google up the history of forfeiture .

  • This is mint.

  • Alcohol companies would surely take a hit (pun intended) if marijuana were legalized.

  • "marijuana has been said to lead to an early onset of psychosis"

I guess this means without marijuana people will reach psychosis a little later in life. Marijuana can be addictive, but to compare it with nicotine is silly.

  • Where were all the `facts` in this video taken from? I recall one single pro-pot documentary that had most (if not all) of these 'facts' in it; were they all taken from there?

  • ghost riders in the sky.... lol never got it before ^_^

  • A Cat up in Minneapolis named Jules just turned me onto you guys.............

You've got a new fan for life!

  • As stated in the video, there have been 0 known human deaths form marijuana itself, in all of recorded human history (over 5,000 years — over 20× the lifespan of the USA to date, 2½× that of Christianity, and older than JUDAISM by over a millennium!).

The video also states that there are 7,500 annual deaths in the USA alone due to NSAIDs (asprin, etc.).

Check this out: we all need three things to live, right? Air, water, and food. ALL THREE of those can and HAVE killed people!

  • • Air: Hyperoxia, "the bends" (air bubbles forming in the bloodstream due to rapid pressure decrease — i.e., your blood "fizzes" — an excruciatingly painful way to die), etc.

    • Water: drowning, scalding, freezing, and yes, even drinking too much (just ask Terry Shiavo — a drink lots of water" fad diet caused the imbalance that destroyed her brain, 1½ decades before they finally let the rest of her die).

    • Food: anaphylactic shock from devastating allergies, obesity, etc.

  • I've smoked weed for 40 years and I just want you all to know that......what was the queation?

  • There's big money in prohibition. The Black Market created from this "war" brings in staggering amounts of cash for the CIA, DEA, the Courts, cops, corrections officials, and rehab specialists.

  • horns

  • Go Spankers! This entire album is a NEW CLASSIC!

  • well in the uk were losing due to that twat alan johnson. screw labour

  • Keep the Drug War going. We need to make our quota this year of 10,000 Americans killed in Cold Blood because of it! Cops are laughing all the way to the bank!

  • War on Drugs: Canada vs. USA

Prince of Pot, Marc is shipping Pot to the USA. DEA Raid by shiping as much pot to the USA as possible. Canada is the land of REAL freedom. USA just admit Canada has better laws and freedom. For the record the USA is still a good place.

  • Canada's real "free" without guns, but hey, fuck it right. GOOD SONG!!!

  • Yes, because malnourishing slaves is good if you stop beating them.

  • Geez, that guy sure loves his beer. Sure hope he wasn't busted on a DUI charge after the show.

  • Alcohol, bad. Cocaine, worse. Reefer, GOOD!!!

  • @Bopalena come on man its been proven many times alcohol= devils drink cocaine = bad weed= really safe substance

  • Alcoholism is the greatest "social problem" in Germany today;yet this fact is seldom mentioned in the press.Instead we have hysteria over the use of drugs-whatever they are.Over 7000 deaths on the roads. The automobile is King! Two hundred deaths due to OD'ing.Result:outcry and demands that "something be done"!If people want drugs then what has that got to do with politicians? Most of whom are corrupt anyway. This war cannot be won.

  • Drug abusers abuse drugs.

Drug where with an intension from the high power. To see. To get the ideas. The power needs help from the elderly tribesmen who got it already.

Todays abuse of drugs, in an environment where theres zillion of distance between generations, are simly wrong and degenerative.

One thing the natural drug was suppose to learn us, was tolerance and respectm and I see how young kids react to my words now.

Their words simply proof the fact:

    We are lost.

  • So are you going to abuse some coffee, cigarettes or alcohol anytime soon? If so, stop being degenerative.

  • Abuse always coms from an interest of profite, cash in someones fat pocket.

Get it. THEY abuse nature in these ways.

Why the hell you think US Army invaded Afganistan? Because parts of the US Army are representing the absolute largest mob organisation on earth, and they coouldnt see the talibans burning the opium poppy fields in 2000/2001.

So they invaded and said they should stop some "little girls" to be abuse by some ugly pinhead. And they grew opium for real: 8000 tons. UN has the nr's.

  • Type up something coherent, and then I might give some attention to your inane ramblings.

  • lol wut?

  • and...

  • No, nothing in austin can compete with either Houston's Heights, or especially, its Montrose. The singer is from just outside of Houston actually...

    Great band.

  • good vid

  • Wow, thank Reason for these guys...

  • "the war on drugs" is to protect pharmaceutical company profits which would tank of pot & cocaine were legalized. "the war on drugs" empowers drug cartels as well. You have to be stupid to support the war on drugs...an uneducated nitwit with no sense of history

  • don't forget about the alcohol companies...if everyone would go out and just smoke a joint instead of buying drinks in the club, their profits would go down instantly...plus no hangovers and no liver disease ;)

Oh yeah, what about the cotton growers? Hemp can be used to make better clothes at a fraction of the cost. But this is America, where lobbyists have the power, so i'm not expecting anything to change soon. So until then, grow your own and fuck their laws!

  • not much to say other then this is some pretty damn good chit!

  • War on Drugs? HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! DEA sucks!!!! Believe me I know.

  • Sorry, but you've fallen for misinformation. Like any psychoactive substance, natural or man made, THC is not for everyone. Read the suppressed 1972 government report recommending decriminalization or check some of the recent Danish studies comparing with nicotine.

  • I wouldn't cite misinformation, I do my homework, thanks. Unless that's your only negative reply to my comment, I believe we're done here.

  • While there are studies showing a correlation between pot use and psychosis, there hasn't been a rise in psychotic cases despite marijuana's growing popularity. Perhaps people predisposed to psychosis are more likely to toke up.

Pot has less addiction potential than caffeine. More tax dollars are going to put potheads in jail now than if it were legal.

I'm for age cutoffs and licenses to sell. Control is important. DUI wouldn't change. It's not the drug that decides to commit DUI, it's the user.

  • @jpriedie Acording to "Progress in Neuro-Psychopharmacology and Biological Psychiatry - volume 28 issue no. 5" Prolonged heavy users are the most at risk. Which is kind of a DUH because if you smoke anything, and not in moderation it's going to have adverse effects on your health. This would be irrelevant in users who ingest the cannabis. It also stated that users who started young maybe more at risk for dependency. I don't see how this is true i've never met some one who is dependent on

  • @jpriedie on cannibas. I started smoking and was able to quit for college no problem. I haven't had any adverse effects on my long term or short term memory. i am fully able to quit cannabis but am still unable to putt down my cigarettes. it is true cannabis is not for every one, it can cause some people to have panick attacks. So if cannabis is not for you then the sensible thing to do would be not to smoke it.

  • @jpriedie And that's why you have CBD and other cannabinoids in marihuana.

  • @dmoogle2006 tax revenue on weed sales would be enormous, as well there would be billions saved in policing and prison costs. prohibition has never, and will never, work.

  • @isaaczeke You misunderstand me. I never advocated prohibition. But it does bring up this: The alcohol prohibition didn't work because it was and still is the country's most widely distributed drug. When it was banned there were hundreds of thousands of addicted citizens suddenly without means to feed their addiction. It lasted thirteen years before the sheer volume of alchohol-related crime was overwhelming.

  • @dmoogle2006 Alcohol prohibition didn't work because we have been drinking alcohol all over the world, as a species, for tens of thousands of years. Outlawing alcohol was a ridiculous move based on unrealistic puritanical values. The fact is, humans and other animals routinely seek avenues to alter their consciousness; even bears will seek out fermented fruit to get drunk, and cats get high on catnip. Getting intoxicated is a pretty normal behavior for higher animals.

  • Now, THC content has increased SUBSTANTIALLY since then giving people a more intense high, and, sub-sequentially, more psychologically addicting. Don't mis-understand me here, either, I am not saying pot should not be legalized because it is addicting. I am saying legalizing it will not generate the revenue you expect. THC content will be monitored, People used to their normal highs will not experience them, and will still buy from their 'unlicensed' merchant dealers with the stronger stuff.

  • @dmoogle2006 Indeed, THC content has increases and people get psychologically addicted. The amount of money saved would be astronomical just based on the reduced amount of policing required and amount of people in prisons. The U.S. spends about 23 billion per year on corrections of people involved in non-violent drug crimes. And that's just corrections. Also, I don't see why strong blends would be restricted; alcohol is available in many places in concentrations up to 97.5%.

  • From an economical standpoint, which most pot legalization advocation seem to claim will be positive, I actually see as a negative side-effect. Revenue generated will maybe increase at first, but overtime will suffer due to the amount of THC one can legally have in a product or in one's system. DUI's will increase, and just because it's legal doesn't mean it'd be legal for you to be pushing your 'upgraded' product on the streets. Marijuana crimes would still exist.

  • @dmoogle2006 Legalization doesn't mean it would be ok to be high at work, much as it is not ok to get drunk at work. There is no reason that DUI's would increase; marijuana doesn't inhibit impulse control like alcohol does. It is much easier to resist the urge to drive when you are high. Also, marijuana has no where *near* the impairment effects of alcohol. Although, of course, driving while impaired at all should be punished.

  • @dmoogle2006 i really dont want weed to be legal. rather it should be decriminalized. with it being decriminalized there are very few issues that woudl arise other than people abuseing it. however it has never killed anyone in the history of its use. why should we waste monmey having people incarserated for a substance that is already widely used regardless of its legal status?

  • @dmoogle2006 Lmao hes telling potheads to take a good LONG think. Although i am an advocate of marijuana, it hasnt made me think longer. Ill take that side effect.

  • @dmoogle2006 I agree with a lot of this but... If weed was legal less people would be in jail. Maybe people would smoke them self retarded and end up in a medical facility. I quit smoking weed after 8 years for a job after college and had no withdrawl. I smoked all day everyday. Worst withdrawal I've ever suffered is Klonopin. Cigarettes pshh freakin hard to quit! Lisence to sell yes, cut off point yes. DUI yes but there is no system to test if you are currently high for sure.

  • @dmoogle2006 There has not been one single recorded accident or death from marijuana. You are misinformed, and maybe you should read some scientific data that was produced by people who are not biased towards one way or another.

  • @ixfallxapart Good job actually reading my post. I don't know where you got where I said anyone has died from marijuana usage. Though I would like to know where you get your facts, because there have been tons of accidents where marijuana was present in someone's system.

  • @dmoogle2006 I disagree about the DUI accidents and arrests, I've driven many a times stoned out of my gourd and it has never had the same effect as being drunk. It is very easy to drive, if you are a person like me, not saying everyone would be as safe behind the wheel. But these people you're talking about, they already smoke weed, and the arrests are already in the books. There would be no great mud slide of DUI arrests, because marijuana is everywhere already.

  • @dmoogle2006 and far fewer people getting shot by corrupt cops and drug dealers.

  • Yes we are winning....~! Drugs are and us druggees are winning. YaHOO!

  • war on drugs? war, the word is now meaningless.

  • war on plants, should make more sense

  • To MantraD313 and 5erendstupidy.

Your answers, along with invectives, are just a proof of my statement. The stuff makes you dumb and illusive.

Im far from a fascist, I am well aware of what a fascist is, except from being dumb and poor on arguments in discussions, they are often "drugliberals" with the exception that they are hipocrits that cover their abuse with "going to church" and such stupid crap.

Any people here with roots in the great old tribes, that can aprove?

  • If the words 'life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness' don't include the right to experiment with your own consciousness, then the Declaration of Independence isn't worth the hemp it was written on. -Terence McKenna

  • why is everyone taking this so seriously...this band is obviously sending a message but they do NOT take themselves as seriously as everyone is taking them....lets comment on their musical ability more and less on the social issues of mass incarceration on drug offenders....time and place....time and place

  • And why not?

  • Alcohol is for chumps. Reefer is good clean fun. If you don't like reefer, then don't smoke it, but leave those who enjoy it the fuck alone! I've never seen a fight break out on pot and no one has ever O.D.d on it. No hangover either. You just order a few dozen pizzas and then go to sleep.

  • but we can have a society where 1% the population owns 50% the wealth. Where your legals freedoms are

    to be a corporate sharecropper

    or

    starve

  • hell yeah. free country... if you choose the path of the suburbanite, in which you live and die the same way you knew you would from the age of two without one positive struggle for freedom and equality in your life. and by the way i know me and my people see drugs as artistic, social and meditative opportunity. i've never once wasted a good bit of green playing video games and stuffing my face with shitty food... oh wait that's what the said suburbanites do when they smoke.

  • why not it happens anyway.

  • No, he's for real. There has never EVER been anyone who has ever over dosed on pot. Ever. Look it up. But you're right, it can screw up your brain, you just have to smoke it a lot.

  • Thing is that you cn be as hip - without it.

Usin it is a sign of weakness.

The debate of legalization is a poor excuse for som guys to be weak and steadlily marschin downwards in life.

Cannabis and natures drugs of mental influences where made for one reason, to make wise men out of dumb youngsters. In the hand of the "medicin man" these where rituals that ppl went thru ONE TIME in life. During deep transfer of knowledge from the elderly.

What has the imperial state done about that? Huh?

  • You're a fucking idiot, dude. Everything you said there is nonsense. Are you trying to argue that marijuana was "intended" for people to do one time in their lives but that's it? This doesn't even really warrant a response. You're retarded.

  • You had your fun - Let others have theirs.

  • I'm two months short of being 62. I have used drugs since the 60s, 43 years. Some of these drugs were just fun. Some were beneficial. Some showed me the way....

  • who said anything about abusing drugs?

inebriates often bring out stupidity in the stupid and wiseness in the wise.

    surely you agree?

nobody mentioned chewing/burning/smoking everything they see; this is merely pointing out the problems with america's drug war.

  • achieving the american dream, you have done nothing but brought humanity an inch closer to extinction

  • man you have REALLY never smoked weed have you. some of the best times i've had in my life were completely without any kind of drugs, but i've also had some times with them that were truly beautiful and i would never give up, and i am a strong person full of love and closely connected with my community, as well as being a musician and writer. you should know about what you're saying, not just blurting things out so you can feel good about your sobriety. be proud of that. but don't be a facist.

  • Find a few deaths directly attributed to the use of Marajuana, and let us know.........

Keep looking, there might be one out there somewhere. Oh wait, allergic reactions don't count.

  • Find a few deaths directly attributed to the use of Marajuana, and let us know.........

You've personally heard of people? So, like a friend of a friend might have said some shit about how M.J. didn't help them get their shit done? How many pot smokers do you actually know?

  • ROFL...weed won't kill you. It may kill brain cells, but so does beer. It can irritate cells in your lungs and potentially contribute to lung cancer or other respiratory illnesses, but so does smoking cigarettes or even breathing the air downtown.

Stop letting commercials and the "moral majority" shove their version of the truth down your throat and do some fact finding on your own.

  • They were correct citing Bill Hicks ... Everyone should search youtube and listen to Bill Hicks show in London, UK ( I think the show was banned in the US of A).

  • do some homework

Its well recognized that the US gov't *paid* for propaganda 'research' to justify the support of laws to:

-suppress racial groups ("oh look, I think I smell weed-ON YOUR KNEES, Citizen!")

    - promote tobacco & cotton for the South

    - promote forestry clear-cutting

    - promote draconian laws & privatized prison 'industry'

    - promote BigPharma (ever notice how many drugs **don't work as advertised**? now they're 'pilling' THC as a corporate commodity)

    weed flourishes on nearly nothing

  • keep on with that hate & goose-stepping- apparently, its all you've got.

funny, how you presume Questioners are flawed

funny, that Haters like hanging around the Kynd Folk -sobbing & shrieking & making spectacles of themselves- all because we don't believe everything we're told by *profiteers*

Says a *lot* about you: so hate-driven & small-hearted that you can't even do research & think for yourself.

  • "keep on with that hate & goose-stepping"

  • Thanks. Idiotic psycho-babble always helps me to get through my day.

  • Read into it further..

That tax break suppouse to b e for NEXT year..

But bush pushed for it to happen this year.. so HIS party can get credit for it..

  • Drugs are becoming cheaper and easier to get. They are also becoming more potent. Why? Because its a business where failure is not backed by a tax write off. It should be though

  • well really, when it comes to drug dealing even success is backed by a tax write off, i mean tax evasion is kinda the least of your worries, unless they can't get ya any other way, like al capone.

  • Well, when you get big, someone is bound to drop your name, should they get busted (which happened to me), and when that happens, and the interrogating officer looks up the name and sees that you're wanted on tax evasion, then you become top priority. Until then, yeah, you're safe.

  • thats another thing that the war on drugs causes because dealers have no choice but to make sure people don't talk, and i'm sure we all know a few ways they could do that, if there wasn't a war on drugs there would be nothing to talk about.

  • Exactly. The black market syndrome. It becomes illegal, then an underground, black market society forms. What we've seen here in America is that this underground society is glamorized at every level by both the government AND by companies creating products for the underground culture. But they try to control our market. Anti-communists SHOULD, by all logic, hate the war on drugs. It's another example of our government controlling the market, but they selectively choose their industries.

  • yep and communist or anti fascist, if the democratic system is about free choice then shouldn't it reflect that and not ban substances that people use by there own free will.

  • um, they got Al Capone that way b/c that's the people they sent to deal with him. there wasn't, like cops sitting around going "hmm, this is just dumb enough to work!" it was more like someone said "hey you guys, the tax evasion guys, yeah, it's your job to go bring down this gangster"

  • so your suggesting that if it was just any old schmo they would have handed down a life sentence for tax evasion, they got him that way because it was the only way they could get him.

  • I think you have to be able to spell "martial law" before you are allowed to have any basis to be in fear of it.

  • I swear, all you people who voted for him in 2000 and/or 2004 are responsible for the shit he's put us through and gotten us into. I would not be too surprised if Bush, and the neocons in Congress, attempt to impose marshal law before his term in office is over. Thanks a lot in advance. ;(

  • I suggest you take LONG LOOK at Ron Paul & check his actual writings BEFORE he decided to run for President.

his writings & policy statements **aren't what you've been led to believe** frankly, he's rather scary in his own special way...

  • Vote for Ron Paul. (I am), but don't depend on him because he may be a long term sleeper in congress that's working for our enemies. Vote for him, but don't depend on him. Continue with your plans for the citizen revolt that may be necessary.

  • I've been in the truth movement for 6 years now, and I've watched them dangle several "saviors" in front of our faces to waste our time, and give us false hope while they continue with their agenda of screwing us out of everything.

Ron Paul is definitely the best choice we have, but he's also lying to us about certain things.

  • like the prospect of being president? lol

  • Can you name even one lie? Can you name even one politician who for 30+ years has not only held the same views but has also voted that way?

  • Please forward to our elected officials. If every one of us did...

  • basically. the "war on drugs" was a way to increase profits for the high ups and keep the street drug dealers poor and in a situation where they have no choice but to sell drugs.

  • BooBoo was censored here. Why?

  • the war on drugs was designed to keep inner city blacks locked up in jail, and or killed. look at prohibition in the 30s. white people were affected, so they ended it. look at from the 80s on, black communities affected, might not ever end. blacks shouldnt be fighting for the jena 6, the should be fighting for the end of the war on drugs. im not even black and i kno this

  • In a system with corrupt cops eager for arrests, zealous state attorneys eager for convictions, jaded and overwhelmed public defenders eager for quick pleas, and rigid bond judges eager to set bail far beyond what anyone in the defendant's socio-economic class could reasonably afford, there is little opportunity for a fair trial. Ron Paul 2008!

  • You can say no to the war on drugs by saying yes to Dr. No.

    Ron Paul 2008

  • name 1 thing ron paul has done to help stop the flow of drugs in the community DIRECTLY, i dont mean by sitting in a offince passing laws and giving speeches what has he phisically done?? obama came to my hood and gave 10 drug pushers a job, and he put 28 crack heads in rehab, and burned down a trap house, has ron paul done that?

  • He's been speaking out against the drug war since Obama was in high school. He speaks out against the drug war today. He votes against it & similar policies every chance he gets. I don't have the exact figures on how many crack dealers he currently employs, or how many houses he's burned down, I'll have to get back to you on that.

  • lol just like i thought. u cant give me direct thing that ron paul has done to stop the drug war, i can name plenty of direct things obama haas done, like i said speaking and voting about it is one thing but actually doing somthing is powerful. ron paul is cool but id rather vote 4 obama.

  • Well that's good, I think Obama's a pretty good candidate as well, I just prefer Paul because of his foreign policy.

  • These guys live is so much stomping fun!!!! If they come to your town don't miss it!!

  • The War on Drugs needs to end, Drugs won.

  • hahah yeah winning it, drugfree society! haha, you wish.

  • first the war on drugs (a war on inanimate objects) then the war on terror (an emotion) too bad people die in these wars, not objects or emotions.

    Absurdity at its finest.

  • basically. the "war on drugs" was a way to increase profits for the high ups and keep the street drug dealers poor and in a situation where they have no choice but to sell drugs.

  • basically. the "war on drugs" was a way to increase profits for the high ups and keep the street drug dealers poor and in a situation where they have no choice but to sell drugs.

  • thank you. the drug war has destroyed the inner city

  • Hey, shout-outs to Bill Hicks? Nice one. There's a war on... and the people ON drugs are winnin' it!

  • no people, we need to keep the drug war going, not only is it the biggest failure world wide, it makes america look retarded and is makin me a shit load of money!

  • My favourite kind of people. :D

  • trying to win the "war on terrorism" is about as futile as winning the war on drugs. if we keep pissing people off there will still be terrorists.

  • Why do people call marijuana "dope"? It's not dope. Dope is cocaine, crack and heroine. Marijuana is herb. It's a plant. Dope is processed drugs.

The 2007 Drug Policy Reform Conference will be in New Orleans, LA from Dec 5-8 2007. Be there and help end the failed war on drugs. Let the police officers focus on violent crimes. Drugs is a public health issue.

  • SPANKERS RULE!!! They're the right combination of truth, humor and killer music.

  • drugs dont kill people police do and they ruin way more lives than they save the war on drugs is an excuse for locking up good people

  • after the US invaded afganistan, the ammount of raw opium tar actually increased by a few thousand tons, same with there efforts in columbia

  • So true. So sad but so true.

  • Vote for Ron Paul if you want to end the war on drugs.

  • um, in order to win the war on Terror we have to kill every member of Al Quaeda, the KKK, PETA, the AFL, any environmental groups that have ever given money to violence for their cause (probably most of them) every single person in Afghanistan and Iraq, outlaw faith and kill those who practice. Because they are not going to stop if we ask real nice or threaten them with jail time, or even death.

  • omg good music and message they rock

  • Great message!

  • Hot damn! John Lennon would've loved them!

  • Damn, I'd love to see them live! Never even heard of them befire I saw this video. They need a better press agent.

P.S. - Love the Bill Hicks reference. These guys and gal RULE!!!

  • Spankers LIVE is an awesome experience!

Why they aren't more popular is completely baffling to me!
