  • Will you marry me?

  • He was right. I would be piqued.

  • Buy a Glock next tine, you will like it.

  • Personally, I think its sad that your buddy got mad because he wasn't the first person to shoot the gun rather than the fact that the jerk took something that didn't belong to him without at least letting him know. I'd probably be just as pissed, but for a different reason.

  • Adorable review, great job.

  • I think its kinda the gun code, for the one who's gun it is to shoot it first, so I can see why he did get upset about it, but its really not that big of deal.

  • I would of got mad but I wouldn't let no one babysit it in the 1st place, so he is at fault. You don't go buy a firearm for 3G's then have someone ( not even your son/daughter ) take it to be cleaned or what ever the case may be

  • I purchased my M&P 40c about 3 years ago for my ccw. Wears well, I put about 2000 rounds through mine. No jams but every 4th or 5th mag I would have that same problem with 1 round in the mag and the slide locks back. I had tritium sights installed on my M&P, worth every penny. ^.^ I figure if I ever did need to use my firearm it would be dark so night sights was a no brainer for me.

  • What state are you in?

  • @Michaeljordon1 do the world and the country of USA and kill your self you anti gun loser it are right dumb ass your probably a felon that's why your anti gun

  • Nice Gun

  • hell na your boy needs to grow up. his relationship with his son should be most important. the relationship between a man and his gun is important but yet the relationship with his son is more important than his gun. if he got mad for someone shooting his gun b4 he did he should of cleaned and prep it him self and shot it. if he feels the gun dosnt feel like its his anymore its ok just give the gun to your son and there is his solution.

  • Lets be real, he gives it to his son to clean the gun? Second, it's his son not a friend.

  • I love M&P's. They are very easy to CC. I have a couple myself. If you haven't already I recommend you pick up the .357 sig barrel for your 40c. You can also get another pinky rest for like $2. Midway has them both.

  • I have the full size version and I love it. Never had an issue at all. As far as your friend, I don't agree with getting out of control mad at anything, but I would definitely learn my lesson about trusting him. Respect and trust is earned and action is always a better teacher

  • Have you gotten that ccw yet???

  • finally a girl making a review of a gun i'm tired of all those fuckin' ugly rednecks

  • This Is A Weird Looking Kitchen.

  • I would make the son mow the lawn with a pair of scissors.

  • Your friend should have cleaned his own new pistol instead of delegating it to someone else.

  • Hey nice vid I'm looking into buying the same weapon I just passed H.S.C. Just waiting on them to receive the certificates for I can go and pick it up and choose my weapon. My question is this why didn't you with the glock 22?? And have you ran into any other problems?? My boy at work was saying its not good with cheap

Ammo, have you had any problems??

  • I think he over reacted after all it was his son, I have a son, and I love him more than any gun.after all your children are priceless.

  • why does mine have the usa double stamped

  • it was disrespectfull for your friend to not wait for the person that spent there hard earned monies.... If your friend spent a few grand and todl his dad to wait then he would be mad... golden rule do unto others as you would have them do unto you.

  • Hmmmm what an odd looking kitchen haha jk though loved the vid keep em commin

  • i think im in love!! she is sooo sexy without even trying!!! what is better than a cute girl showing her M&P.40?

  • SGG, you picked a terrific firearm there. I've been carrying that exact gun for 4 years now and absolutely love it. It was an academy graduation gift from the old man, and my first major departure from Glocks. I selected that b/c the trigger feels much more like my duty SigP229, and it points more like a 1911. Can't wait to see more vids. And to answer your question....I WOULD HAVE BEEN PISSED!!!

  • i just got the s&w m&p 40c w/ thumb safety on nov. 18, 2011 i only put 50 rounds through it but i loved shootin my new toy but i saw your video on this gun i feel in love w/ the s&w. i have the 15 round magazine w/ the x grip sleeve w/ de santos double magazine & outside the waist gun holster leather it's a great gun because i have my cpl to carry in my state it's a great concealed pistol

  • Hey SGG you picked A great gun and in A good caliber.I own A full size

mp40 for four years and it hasn't failed once.Oh it has had around 8,000 rds.

through it.I would recommend A Galco COP or A SERPA holsters. Your

friends problem to me he is partically at fault as his son is.so enjoy your

    mp.

  • No id be just as upset, thats his baby, its like not being the one to drive your Ferrari around after you bought it... lol.. i say he has no son now lol

  • @TheShotGunGirl Is that M&P easy to conceal? I think they are the same width as the regular size models. Yeah, it is nearly impossible to get one in the people's republic of Kalifornia, lol! Not to mention the ridiculous cost :-/

  • Good review.

  • Was linked to this video from hickok45's M&P40c review. Fuck the naysayers and keep on doing what you're doing.

  • nice "toy"... why you don't use this toy... oh wait... for what ?... maybe to shot some non living targets right?... or maybe living targets? You can go hunting with it right?... oh wait... i think this particular gun is designed for close combat... to kill people... yeah so much for living targets...hmmm.. wait... they must be human beings... go for it!... I hate guns and i'm proud to live in germany!

  • @KhamulYT stop breathing

  • @KhamulYT

It's a good thing you live in Germany then. You should probably stay there.......over here you would most likely get shot. Have fun living in your "perfect world where everyone loves each other" bubble....one day it is going to burst.

  • I'd hit that!

  • She is fun to watch. I think she has "it".

  • I picked up this gun for my C&CW. Also took advantage of the promotion (military) and received the $50.00 chk in the mail with a nice letter and a service coin from S&W. As my first official carry gun, bought with a nice hip holster. Good job with the review. Did you mention the tridium sights? They show up very nice in the dark. Shot about 100rds at the range. Operated to my satisifaction. On another note, I can't believe some of the ignorant comments here. Must be kids.

  • Why do you need to buy guns???

  • @MichaelJordon1 Because a police officer is usually too heavy to carry around on a day to day basis. Look at her she's tiny, do you think she could fight off a 220lb guy? absolutly not. And in the great country She and I live in, it is a God given right (not privilege) and an obligation to have guns to defend your life, family, and protect your community from (God Forbid) foreign invasion or a Tyrannical government.

  • @GrenMoyo We don't need guns!!! Look at how many murders are committed in USA. A Police Officer is a good enough deterrent. Why would a 200ib guy be trying to hurt this tiny woman?

And what's is "great" about a country that allows you to have a gun, I don't believe in 'god" so that one is wasted one me!

You are dumb at the best of times aren't you my fellow Americans, which government exploits the poor, blacks, asian, hispanics, only one country I know USA!!!

    Talk about brain-washed-so sorry

  • @MichaelJordon1 First off, Getting rid of guns will not make it any more difficult for bad people to commit crime with them. It's called a black market, it will always be there (only a dumb ass would use a gun that's registered to him to commit murder they would catch you pretty freaking quick so they buy illegal unregistered firearms).

  • @MichaelJordon1 and on the police. I support the police they do wonderful work. However knowing many i can say that most cases were you would need your gun, all they are good for is cleanup duty (AKA its too late, you and your family are already dead) but if you are in a situation were you and your own child are at home and one of those "murders" are breaking into your home. Those cops are just minutes away, but guess what, it only takes a few seconds to kill your child in front of you.

  • @GrenMoyo There is no argument to keep, buy or use guns, so many of you kill each other every day, rather than talk and resolve the situation.

Your damn amendments were introduced when having a "gun" meant staying alive, 500 years ago, you are ALL living in the past, time to more on, think of a future without GUNS!!!!

  • @MichaelJordon1 I think it's about time you take those rose-tinted glasses off your face dude. :/

  • @MichaelJordon1

Yeah as a sports shooter i salute you with a royal middle finger

  • @MichaelJordon1 look it up. Firearms deter an averaged 2.5 million violent crimes a year, most of them never involving shots being fired. They just pull out the firearm, the perpetrator sees it, shits his pants and runs away. Gun owners are responsible people, without felony convictions and all in all good standing people. Most cops only are required (and only do) shoot a few days a year. I shoot my gun weekly. considering you lose 30% of your abilities in 1 month...who's more versed in training

  • @MichaelJordon1 by your statement of "why would a 200lb guy be trying to hurt this tiny woman?" shows HUGE ignorance. Why!? Because they're sociopaths, and i believe the term is called "RAPE". Whether you believe in God or not is irreverent, it's Natural rights, you were born with them.

  • Guns are not toys lady

  • @MischiefMakerDan its no different if someone bought a new dirt bike and called it a toy... lets not nitpick here

  • Eat more rocks please.

  • if you were in Australia, i would so ask you on a date...

  • @gshdrums ask her anyway...you never know unless you ask! good luck!

  • @roberttreboranita bahahahahaha!

  • do u live in cali

  • i would be angry not because my son "popped the cherry" on my new pistol, but because i would want to look over the weapon and make certain it was clear to fire and function before anyone else attempted to use it. who can say without thorough inspection that the weapon is cleared and ready to fire, or that something was not left loose. what would i have but an excuse or my son injured without appropriate pre-fire inspection of the weapon.

  • In reference to the story of your buddy and if we agree with his reaction of getting upset when his son fired his new weapon before he had a chance, I would have to say if it was just another one of my Glocks then I would've actually been happy he helped with the break in period. But! Being that you mentioned it was a custom 1911, I would have to say I think he was in the right to be upset on this one.

  • U are young for you age then. U don't look of age to own a gun

  • Are you even old enough to own any firearm? Or are those guns are your dads?

  • I'd have him buy us both lunch, then figure a way to take a bite our of everything he's eating.

  • i would never let my new gun out of sight 4 starters , but after he took it to the range with out me I would pistol whip his ass with that same gun .

  • Awesome! p.s. if it wuz my son I wood not be mad @ him!

  • Just to let you know... there is a model without the magazine disconnect.

  • @GZ3AR0 if ur talking to the girl in the video, she knows, she clearly said that the state she lives in requires it

  • @kinddave27 Calm down and why curse at her? It is personal preference on what someone wants to carry. It is spelled "easier" BTW...

  • @kinddave27 have fun with your two rounds buddy, and fishing it out of your pocket, SOOOO MUch easier to use

  • whats the advantage to having a compact over a regular?

  • @DetroitRedWings16 Shorter grip. When you want to conceal a gun, dont worry about slide length thats not really difficult to hide...its the pistols grip that sticks out.

  • I like you

  • thats like marrying a woman then someone else "have" her the wedding night

  • He should have taken the weapon home and cleaned it himself before firing. If he did not want his son to fire the pistol he should have used some common sense and kept it with him. Which also begs the question of, did he ask his son not to shoot it? Either way he shouldn't be mad. Now if he had no idea how to clean the weapon and was looking for his son to do it for him....then he should have waiting until he could be shown how and the gone and shot the thing. What do you expect?

  • Guns aren't toys bitch.

  • HELL YEA ID BE MAD

  • i look at it this way would you give a fat kid a cake to take home and expect the whole cake to be waiting for you idk why he wasnt there with his son but i would have shot it to its a nice gun

  • Your buddy may have over-reacted,but that doesn't mean that he's not RIGHTEOUSLY PISSED OFF at his errant son.

If the kid is a young innocent naif and had no clue about the relationship between a man and his weapons; teach him, help him grow.

Slamming/pounding the child all over the back yard is NOT the answer.

If the kid knew better than to trump Dad on a new bespoke piece; GROUND HIS ASS FOR 3 MONTHS !

    No money

  • great review!! thanks

  • Holy edits, Batman!

  • Yes he was overreacting....the factory shoots them first before anyone.... its not a big deal....tell him to get over it.. however shooting someone else's gun without permission is wrong. Whether its new or not.

  • The trigger is NOTHING like a Glock... the is my biggest beef with Glock. I have the full size. 40 MP for carry. Love mine. Have a crimson trace grip and a crossbreed super tuck deluxe to conceal with

  • The father intrusted the son with a brand new gun and was given back, a used one. I would not be happy.

  • I would have been upset but I would not have entrusted my gun to anyone else, lets just called it lessons learned BTW nice review !

  • Hey, thats not a toy....its weapon! :)

  • i want that gun in a 9mm love dat gun

  • He should have shot his son

  • If your friend did not want that to happen, he should never have entrusted his gun, unsupervised to another person. This is especially true when you consider that worse things could have happened. Just my opinion. I would never ever lend any of my firearms to anyone unsupervised. IMHO it's just not what a responsible gun owner does.

  • I would be extremely pissed if my son shot the gun before me. On the other hand, I would not let my son take my $2000 to $3000 gun home after I went and got it. That's asking for something to happen.

  • can you get m&p's chambered in .45?

  • @LikeHellaHellaLike Yes you can! A full size (10-shot) and a compact (8-shot).

  • You complete me!

  • Are you even old enough to own a handgun?

  • if my son shot my brand new gun I woud just have animalistic sex with you

  • how much was it?

  • @BugMoneyFishing normally $80 but theres a sale on amazon for $40

  • @dontshootmydik I'm talking about the gun.

  • i was an early Adopter of the M&P I got $50 and two free magazines

  • Weird, My 40c can fire without the magazine. On the side it reads: CAUTION: CAPABLE OF FIRING WITH MAGAZINE REMOVED

  • @jonwpike You can get the M&P with or without a magazine disconnect “safety” mine did not have one.

  • Girl, GREAT REVIEW !

Now onto the neccessities for your young life ( and to help you have a nice long and safe life ! )

you need to get three things done like yesterday.

    1. get you a holster, get you a mag pouch that will hold two mags, get you a belt to put it all on and then........

    2. find you a nice range that shoots IDPA, International Defensive Pistol Association, and learn how to draw that gun from the holster and shoot it !

    3. move outta that suckass city you live in and get your CCW !

  • Sub 1k...who cares, over 1k, I'd make mention of it... I guess it should just be common courtesy not to shoot a gun first if it isn't yours.

  • ah love to see a lady that knows her way around a firearm =) Thanks for the good review as well.

  • I had a Beretta Model 96 and it broke on me twice while firing it. Thank God it was only during target practice, not during a life or death situation. My fullsize M&P .40 is the best gun I have ever owned. Sure H&K and Sig are nice guns but they are also quite a bit more money.

  • EVERYBODY WAKE UP!! These guns suck! Nothing but problems, I promise you I have experienced nothing but negtive issues with these pistols. H&K, Sig Sauer, or Beretta are FAR MORE RELIABLE. I do NOT work for these other companies, I just have alot of experience and know what I'm talking about. I really must admit that I LOVE Smith & Wesson as a company and for their customer service...but these particular guns, compact or rull size, really do suck...BEWARE!!

  • @myamoocow the M&P is the best pistol i ever owned fan boy

  • @badgerattoadhall Then you must have only owned one pistol in your life time, air-conditioner boy...

  • @myamoocow um para ordinance lda 16-40, FN Forty-nine, glock g22, beretta Px4C forty, smith and wesson M&P 40

  • @badgerattoadhall All great guns you listed, except for the last one :-)

  • @myamoocow the FN Forty –nine was pure and I mean pure garbage, 10LBish trigger pull, rough and I mean rough manufacturing tool marks, that is probably why they made it for only three years and why I don’t own it. But honestly man the M&P is a juggernaut. Not had any problems with it, comfortable as hell, accurate nice trigger.

  • @badgerattoadhall I must admit the my own particular issued m&p 40 NEVER had a jam and fired great all the time. I was one of the lucky ones! I just couldn't believe how many problems there were with all the other guns that were issued. When this gun doesn't malfunction, it's fantastic. But from my departments' and my own experiences with this gun, the majority of them had real problems.

  • Good info. Thanks. Love the name!

  • i went to the shop to buy a glock 26 and walked out with an m&p 9c, love it

  • i heard you say that it is hard to get a cwp in the state u live in? i live in wa state and i have one and i also got one for oregon too. because i live right on the border. anyway, thanks for the good info. i think i will pick one up..

  • I like the glock 23 opposed to the S&W .40 because glock has a slightly smaller trigger gaurd for a little extra frame rail length. That thing looks like it has frame rails short enough that it can't hold a laser or anything.

  • i think depends on whether he actually cared about shooting it first or the issue was the safety because his son might have injured himself or have done something else that his father would be accountable for. In this case he was not overreacting.

  • Hey Bristol Palin!

  • @Theshitgungirl: I had the Springfield xd subcompact in the .40. Did you compare the m&p to that before making the final purchase?

  • theshotgungirl? really

  • what you started to talk about a 5 30 should not happen. that has nothing to do with breaking in the gun. you should check the mag well and see if it is fitting flush.

  • oh so sexy but i gotta ask did u ever get those mags i was lookin for the new vid but i take it u didnt make one lol

  • Any comments after owning it for a while? Any issues?

  • M&P's are the best. Hands down.

  • How many guns are you allowed to own in the States? As many as you want to?

  • @LoyalBrotherz817 is that a serious question?

  • @SemperFiUSA732 YES!!!

  • i, on the other hand, would NOT fit in your small hand perfectly. i suggest you use 2. lol. i just wanted to point out how ''jackinthehizzles'' comment can be interpreted both ways.

  • Nice review. And yes, I would be very upset!

  • Limalife and yourself are the only two women I have yet to see doing an actual review of a firearm. About 99% of the time when it comes to firearms its like a fuckin sausage fest. We need more females in the firearm community!!!

  • Sorry but I couldn't help but chuckle at the part where you loved the size and that it was black. Totally off topic hahaha but it still made me laugh.

  • @IStillBlaze for get that!!!!!! ill pull out my mossberg and mossberg wipp HIM!!!!

  • MY FOOT WILL BE SURGICALLY REMOVED FROM HIS ASS!

  • in all reality your friend is the one who gave his son the opportunity to shoot it first. and technically your friend would have been second to fire it anyways do to the technician who fires the first round to make sure its operable. so not much reason to be mad

  • My son would own that gun and I'd go buy another one! After I beat his ass and took his money for the gun!! LITTLE BASTARD!!

  • Awesome Review ,Sweet Gun..I Also live in a Nanny State here in Connecticut they make it so Discouraging and almost impossible to get the permit let alone just to own one ;{ but i will check this one out very soon and Thanks again,

  • @bobbyv125 What are you having trouble with? I too live in Connecticut and the process seemed easy enough to me..Just wondering cuz CT really isn't that bad compared to ALOT of other states.

  • Good job reviewing the M&P I think it is a great gun also. Sorry to hear you live in a Nanny state.

Comment on your freinds son issue: yeah I'd be pretty upset that shows a lack of consideration.

  • I dont think id get upset especially if it was my son, whats it matter if some one else shot it. hell they test fire one bullet before they sell them any way at least they do with the m&p's

  • I love the look of the m&p's as well i admire mine everyday its just aesthetically and ergonomically pleasing, sort of like a work of art.

When ever I get a new Camera ill do some more shooting vids and review the m&p 45 full size.

  • can you insert a full mag with the slide forward? I can't seem to do this on mine, only if I remove a round

  • @jesta443 No the problem is not listening the problem is you getting mad because you now see where im comming from. It was never an augument. Only fools and kids argue. It was a discussion. Its ok to be wrong. Smile its not the end of the world.....yet.

  • @jesta443 The truth is you can. Do you have experience in ALL guns? Have you gone out and shot flint lock arms? Trying differint powders and such? So how can you know the gun you have is the best for you? And in the vid she said she went shooting and had problems with the last round. So she has shot and she knows what she is talking about when it comes to her gun. again answerd.

  • What state do you live in that requires a magazine disconnect on pistols?

  • I would buy a really expensive cool gun he wanted, I'm thinking a Barret .50 BMG, and invite my son to come out with me for target practice all day. I would pick my son up in my own vehicle, making sure he didn't have a cell phon, close to anyone or town.

I would then explain how cool it is that he won't be able to touch it at all. I would then shoot every round I had.

Hopefully the ride back would be really awkward and quiet.

    Thumbs up if you agree!

  • that trigger is nothing like the glock are you crazy?

  • If he survived the walloping I'd mete out to him for being an irresponsible little twat, he'd be downrange at his next range visit, with a an apple on his head that said 'this is for dissing Dad'! Then it would be Dad's turn to shoot! Seriously, I agree wholeheartedly with some of the comments...I would NOT have passed the weapon to him anyway, whether it be a $200 or $3000 gun, without checking that it (and him) was safe. And I get to fire it first...ALWAYS.

  • Your friend should have known better than to give the gun to his son first. Also he should have taught his son better about cleaning a new gun before shooting it.

  • @jesta443 its simple do as much home work before you get it, when you get it hold it and shoot it and still do read up on it. Well that was hard to answer.

  • Good video Shotgungirl. It's too bad about the magazine disconnect safety requirement, I made sure to order my 9c without it. That is one nice feeling compact for CCW.

  • regardless of all of the negative feedback... Good Review for those of us interested in the actual gun features.... i wish i could meet the lame dumbfucks who talk so much shit on youtube... i know for a fact none of them would talk that shit f2f... tango

  • thats about it.

  • Must be a small gun range to fit into your kitchen.

  • Just advise speaking from experience, you shouldn't stick your finger in the chamber to check to see if it's clear.

If you're moving too fast and don't realize the slide lock isn't fully engaged, it'll possibly slam on your finger (trust me, it feels like a hammer that hits your finger, but doesn't let up).

    Nice work on the vid.

  • @Hemurango

The purpose of sticking your finger in the chamber is to ensure a round did not get left in there by a faulty ejector. She did it the correct way. It is part of a safety check as taught to police officers also.

  • your friend is over reacting. tell him to be nice to his kid, at least he has somebody in his family who appreciates what he likes to do. his darn kid is just too excited to shoot the pretty little thing, but if i was the kid i wouldn't dare to that to my dad. :)

  • damnnnn gurl. u be packing sum heat! (lol sorry i'm not black - just love saying that :P)

  • nice women with guns sweet lol good vid.

  • Wow... I just happen to stumble across this video 1 year to the day after it was posted. Don't ask me why that matters to me. So @TheShotGunGirl Do you still have this gun? Has it had any major malfunctions? What are your opinions of the gun 1 year later?

  • I enjoyed your review. Ordered my 40c this week and can't wait to get it on the range. Regarding your opinion question...Like the father, I would have been upset, but I think father showed lack of judgement by entrusting the new gun to his son...25% father's fault, 75% son's fault.
