@FlorissM You are obviously a moron, who said to bounce the weight? Touching the floor on each rep will ensure full range of motion. Do you even lift?
@woo2fly18 What Scott is doing is closer to a stiff-legged deadlift. He also keeps the dumbbells hanging straight down from the arms instead of closer to the ankles. Only the back moves.
@woo2fly18 I figure it's pretty much the same thing, except you're slightly farther away from your ankles (since the dumbbell can't get as close to the bar), and when you lift heavy, I guess an alternate grip makes it a bit more secure, whereas with dumbbells, it will only be a one handed grip. As you go heavier, I think it would be more convenient with a barbell.
@novagymvideos no, this is wrong. It has nothing to do with tension and goals. If you preform a deadlift, you just do the deadlift. The deadlift is called a deadlift because you pull the weight when its DEAD on the ground. With other words, not the use of momentum (bouncing the wheight). Anyway, this video is funny, but dont learn you how to deadlift the proper way by watching this.

I'm 13, 203lbs of SOLID, DRUG-FREE STRENGTH and I can straight bar deadlift 700lbs RAW and STRICT with DIAMOND perfect form, no straps, no suit, NOTHING!
This needs to be about 8 minutes longer and have every point beaten to death like every other workout instruction video on youtube because I am a retard

best form video I've seen of a dead lift

Good tut, but the demonstrator is too tall. His knees block a vertical bar path, which can be bad to teach beginners. But yeah, pretty good tut.

No. Don't touch yourself.

Yes you definitely must let the barbell touch the floor. This gets the maximum from the exercise.

Are you supposed to let the barbell touch the floor or not?????
DrinkUrPruneJuice77 6 months ago
@DrinkUrPruneJuice77 Depends on goals and flexibility, just touch the floor and come straight back up for maximum time under tension with good ROM
