  • Good tut, but the demonstrator is too tall. His knees block a vertical bar path, which can be bad to teach beginners. But yeah, pretty good tut.

  • @FlorissM You are obviously a moron, who said to bounce the weight? Touching the floor on each rep will ensure full range of motion. Do you even lift?

  • @woo2fly18 What Scott is doing is closer to a stiff-legged deadlift. He also keeps the dumbbells hanging straight down from the arms instead of closer to the ankles. Only the back moves.

  • @woo2fly18 I figure it's pretty much the same thing, except you're slightly farther away from your ankles (since the dumbbell can't get as close to the bar), and when you lift heavy, I guess an alternate grip makes it a bit more secure, whereas with dumbbells, it will only be a one handed grip. As you go heavier, I think it would be more convenient with a barbell.

  • @ he's using small plates in this vid so his hips are low. With 45's on there you dont drop your hips as much

  • @DrinkUrPruneJuice77 Depends on goals and flexibility, just touch the floor and come straight back up for maximum time under tension with good ROM

  • @novagymvideos no, this is wrong. It has nothing to do with tension and goals. If you preform a deadlift, you just do the deadlift. The deadlift is called a deadlift because you pull the weight when its DEAD on the ground. With other words, not the use of momentum (bouncing the wheight). Anyway, this video is funny, but dont learn you how to deadlift the proper way by watching this.

    Buy Starting Strength from Mark Rippetoe or just read on EliteFTS if your serious about powerlifting/deadlifts.
