Slash is a rock guitarist, so if you like rock music,I believe you like slash more than John Mayer.. I started with a studio Gibson way back, but got this guitar with my VW Jetta a few years ago, only as happenstance.

Tho I changed the strings right off, (to Bell's) (and since to D'Addario's), it still plays amazingly well, clear and bright. Nice action and (tho my fingers are fat), has yet to warp/bend the neck at all. I've been playing D'Addario 10's for long enough to know that they still suck.
